We just went in to return a phone that was ordered over the phone because my boyfriend thought he broke his, turns out the phone just needed a soft reset. Sprint customer service told my boyfriend that he needed to return the phone to the store. As we tried to return the phone the associate/manager kept saying she cannot do anything without a receipt. With phone orders we never received a receipt and had to explain this to her several times before she realized she needed to process the return another way. As she continued she informed us that we had to pay $ 35 restocking fee, this was never mentioned before. Her only comment was that it states this on the receipt, again the receipt that we never received. She kept mentioning the receipt and refused to help us further. Very disappointed, we ended up leaving and calling customer service again.

I came in the middle of the day on a Monday and there were 6 people waiting for service and only two people working. I decided to be a smarty-butt and called customer service and I was done faster than EVERYONE else in the store. That’s pretty pathetic. Perhaps try should consider hiring more employees. :(

The Boy and I had just had a pretty bad experience getting blown off by the sales guy at the Sprint store at Federal and Belleview location while trying to get upgraded to the new iphone and were feeling pretty discouraged. I looked at my map and saw there was a location just a little farther south down Santa Fe and convinced the Boy to try that one out and see if we could fare better there. The store was very quiet and clean and parking was easy. Both salesmen were busy when we came in but they were still quick to greet us and made us feel very welcome, so we stuck around. The assistant manager, Iggy, ended up being the one to help us. When it turned out the model we were hoping for wasn’t available, he was so friendly and helpful in laying out the other options available that he ended up selling us on the more expensive model. The process to get signed up took quite a while but he was very congenial the whole time, making conversation and sharing jokes with us when there was downtime waiting for things to process. Iggy is a huge asset to that store as well to Sprint. Based on our first experience with Sprint, we were considering just sticking with our old cell phone carrier. Thanks to Iggy, we are now happy Sprint customers.
