I’m not much into doing Unilocal reviews but felt like sharing with the public my horrible customer service experience from the people hating owner. I’ve been uneventfully spray tanning there for over a year, and today I met Tanya(sp?) the owner for the first time. I asked if she could break a 20 dollar bill; she said no. I tried to buy a lotion I get from there in order to get my change. She didn’t offer me the same price as I usually get. FYITHEYARE«NOT A CHANGESTATION!» HOWDARE I EVENASKAFTERSPENDINGTONSOFMONEYTHERE!!! THEHUMANITY! I asked her name, and she got even more nasty at that point. She told me she was the owner, shook my hand and fake smiled super huge and weird and told me I should tan somewhere else. She was on the phone the entire time. Clearly the hundreds of dollars I’ve spent there are not appreciated. So of course I will tan elsewhere as she is not even decent to her loyal customers. I called when I left to let her know how disappointed I was, but mostly just to interrupt her stupid phone call that she wouldn’t get off of. On a separate note they promised me I could be on a month to month contract after my 6 month contract ended. Which they then reversed their policy on me and asked me to sign another contract, which I didn’t after multiple phone and in person messages left for the owner Tanya asking to see a copy of my contract. THANKGOD I DIDN’T!!! BEWAREOFSIGNING A CONTRACTWITHTHISPIECEOFWORK! She is one of the crazy ones I tell ya.

BEWARE! I had a backless bridesmaid’s gown in my sister’s wedding and was concerned about tan lines. Several friends said not to worry and to get a «spray tan.» I went into Tan Time(10÷26÷15 approx. 3:15PM) and inquired about a spray tan and showed the staff member a photo of the gown I was going to wear. She told me that a spray tan would not work and that I would have to use a tanning bed. I burn VERY badly and was not in favor of using a bed, but I went home and slept on it and then decided since it was my sister’s wedding I would go through with it — making an assumption that the staff member knew what she was talking about. I went back the next day(10÷27÷15 at 8:15AM) and same staff member was at the front desk. She remembered me from the day before and recommended that I do a, «level 3 for the max 12 minutes.» Again, I assumed she knew what she was talking about. By lunch time my skin was already burned to a crisp and I was in excruciating pain! What’s even worse — one of the bulbs was not functioning and I also had a white stripe right down my back the entire length of my body!!! I immediately went back in to Tan Time and showed her what happened. Her response, «Well, they aren’t going to do anything about it since you got most of your tan anyway since only 1 bulb was out.» I asked to talk to a manager and was given a number to a voicemail, I left 3 messages for Tanya before she called me back that following Thursday night. She was apologetic and told me I should have never used a tanning bed and a spray tan was what I needed. She said I would receive a partial refund, she would file an incident report with the state and the employee would face disciplinary action. It’s been almost 4 months now — no refund, no incident report filed within the state of Colorado, and I highly doubt any sort of action was taken. And yes — to this day I still have a stripe down the back of my body! Under no circumstances for any reason would I recommend this place of business. If anything I would like to issue a warning so this doesn’t happen to anyone else — I have photos of my burns(initial burn and again over several days as the burn and pain actually intensified and ended up requiring medication) and receipt I’m willing to post to save anyone else from this nightmare. Learn from my mistake — just because some one works there, you cannot assume that they have been trained or have any idea what they are doing. Please beware!

To say I was«disappointed» with Tan Time doesn’t do my experience with this company justice. Two premium beds were broken with one that had«parts on order» that just never seemed to arrived the entire time I tanned there. To boot, I experienced the same ever-continuing billing issues as one other reviewer. I corresponded with the owner(I assume it was the owner) and was lied to. Owner told me I would get contacted within one week and months went by without hearing back. My numerous follow up emails inquiring about why I was never contacted are still unanswered to this day. The staff is fine. The management or owner or whoever is behind the email responses regarding my dispute was flat out dishonest, engaged in deceptive business practices and then invoked«total silence» as the final strategy. Check out their BBB rating before you sign up. My advice – never ever give this company your credit card unless you’re signing up for a life membership, because that’s how long they will bill you.

This place has the worst customer service I have ever received from a business. The blonde behind the counter, not sure if she is the owner or the manager since she told me that is irrelevant, is so very rude. She seems very disinterested in having your business or not. So, she will not have my business any longer, nor will I recommended this business to anyone I know. I am glad they feel they have enough customers that they do not feel customer service is important anymore. The person behind the desk that I am referring to is a tall thin blonde that works Monday thru Thursday. The other people that I have encountered there have been pleasant, but be beware!!!

This is a tanning salon I have resorted to using as no others are located to closely to this business. It was near my children’s practices for sports. I paid 90 dollars for 10 gold bed tans and lotion. Can I say rip off!!! This tanning salon is not clean, floor boards are nasty, super covered in dust from who knows how long ago. Floors are also gross in the rooms. I always clean my own bed prior to using as I’m worried about cleanliness here. The staff is mostly bitchy rude sales people. Always talking you up and show you a piece of paper to pick your plan rather than talking to you. I’m astonished! Thank The Lord my last tan here is over. Never going back. They’re so cheap the sign out front lights up IME at night. Really?! They make tons of money, clean this place up and be respectful. Absolutely hate this tanning salon and their bitch rude staff. I now go to Planet Beach at Belmar by my house 35 dollars a month unlimited tanning. Uggggh! Don’t do it! You will regret it! Yucky to the max!

I love this place. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There are tons of beds to choose from(including spray tan) and the prices can’t be beat! Oh and they’re open 24 hours!!! They have a kid play area so you can get your tan on with your kids in tow. They also offer red light therapy and teeth whiting.

I am saddened and perplexed by why this place is off the Unilocal-radar. Tanning Unilocalers, get on it! This place is by far, and by a wide margin, THE most exceptional tanning place in Southwest Denver, all of Denver, if not the state! I have tanned in multiple cities, in multiple states, and Tan Time is exceptional on ALL fronts. First of all, the hours. Simple — their open 24 hours. Can’t complain about that, period. The range of beds and tanning options(e.g., spray tans) are unparalleled. Stand up, lay down, get a massage, listen to music, turn off your face tanner, do whatever — they have it! The price is great. I am ALWAYS reluctant to by a «monthly» package of anything, but the prices are so reasonable, you can’t help it. Their lotion selection is diverse, and quite truthfully, also reasonably priced for legitimate(not knock-off) lotions. They have goggles you can use — no charge. I have never been there and needed to wait any more than 3 minutes for my favorite bed, and the need to wait is so infrequent, I can count the times I have had to wait on my thumbs(and have been tanning for over a year). Other critical factors for me — the place is CLEAN! The beds are always spotless, as is the floor, walls, doors, etc. Very well kept up and maintained! Lastly, and I understand, this is possibly only important to me — the staff is ALWAYS and ALL super friendly, and just plain, not stupid. In so many tanning places, I am frustrated by front staff being the«ditsy» gal that is just working to get a discount on tanning. These ladies make eye contact, REMEMBERMYNAME, are customer service oriented, attentive to details, and obviously like what they do. This place is great — period.

I cancelled my contract in July with them. 11⁄25 I get a call from the owner saying I owe them 215.00? They are claiming I did not cancel my contract. I went into the business with a minor child and the owner yelled at me to pay my bill or get out. She is very rude unprofessional and needs to honor what her customers do. She hires 16 year old kids and says it is not their fault — it is mine. Yelling in front of customers and children and her employees at me… who does she think she is. I will never go in there again or refer anyone else to. They also billed my friend and extra month after she cancelled her contact as well. DONOTDOBUSINESSWITHTHISRUDEANDLYINGOWNER!

My boyfriend and I were trying to find a place close to home to go tanning. It was a bit pricey, but the girl that signed us up talked us into doing the 6 month package. We were concerned about doing that because 1. It was expensive up front and 2. We didn’t want to go tanning for 6 months straight. The sales person assured us that we could freeze it at any time and use it for up to a year. Ok, great! We tanned in preparation for our vacation for two months straight. Even invested in some of their expensive lotions and often paid for bed upgrades(most of their normal beds were«out of order» pretty much constantly). The customer service was AWFUL! There was one girl(don’t remember her name. The pretty blonde one.) who actually was nice, but the rest were not so lovely. One of them even yelled at me because I had waited 45 minutes for a bed(not a premium one. Just a stand up) and decided to leave. I didn’t even say anything to her! I called before we left for vacation in July to freeze our accounts. The woman who answered the phone assured me that it was fine once she took our names, and hung up on me. I wasn’t sure if I had to come back monthly to freeze it, so I called back in August. The woman that answered the phone that time said that it wasn’t on freeze, and she«would have a manager call me back». No call. So, a couple of weeks later I went in to speak to them about it. The girl tells me that she«is way too busy to deal with this right now», and asked me to come back. I came back after the first part of September. The girl(who admittedly, was new) prints out a form and asks me to sign it. I started to sign it and see that it is a freeze for automatic reductions, which I didn’t have. She said she had to run my card again, which isn’t going to happen at this point. I had already paid for the whole thing! She goes in the back to speak to the manager, and she came up to tell me «She says she is eating and can’t talk to you. She will call you back.» Still no call. We basically got 2 months of tanning and had to pay for 6. SO frustrating. Buyer beware!
