Tipsy’s Liquor World

It’s…big.
I’m not super impressed with this liquor store. We stop in when we’re on that side of town but I don’t think it’s worth any extra effort to get there. The beer selection is pretty extensive so Hubs had fun in that area. The wine selection is decent but way overpriced. There is a lovely fireplace where you can sip on your samples if you’re there during a tasting though!

You want alcohol, yeah, they’ve got that. I’m not from Colorado so the whole liquor store thing makes me feel like I’m more of an alcoholic then I really am. I’m used to getting all my liquor, beer, and wine at a supermarket. But this place is huge and they have everything! What I like is the selection of craft beers here and the selection of local beers is amazing. You can pick up good deals with the beer or wine of the month deals and try different selections. The wine selection is also pretty impressive and you can select wines by geographical area where they are grown which I’m a big fan of since I love California central coast wines. So if you are looking for alcohol this is the place to get it and you can bring the kids. They have free lollipops at the counter!

Omg! Huge! Impressive! The checkout counters are fast and a-​plenty!
Wine bar. Clear signage. Well lit. Best of all? They have a special place for Craft Beers! My sour beer is safely tucked away in its own special room together with other special craft beers.
My Duchesse de Bourgogne is there! It’s the Flanders Red Ale style from Belgium. There’s about five different styles of sour beers. I tend to gravitate towards the above. Although I can’t help but be curious about a couple new ones to me.
The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The sheer size of this place is not a deterrent to find help. It seem easy I think because they remain visible and willing to be visible:)
Prices are competitive and if you join their club I noticed you slice about an average of $ 2-​$ 4!
Awesome sauce! Literally!

Having switched to Tipsy’s as my go to liquor mart after leaving the Argonaut Liquor’s neighborhood I have to say I’m pleased with the substitution. Tipsy’s has a wonderful variety of spirits on hand. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and good prices.

Liquor WORLD indeed. Giant store, well stocked. Very helpful staff. I spend most of my time in the whiskey section, but tequila is also incredibly well stocked. I found a great bottle of $ 100 port for a gift as well, and they had knowledgeable staff in that area as well.

I don’t know what to do.. I like tipsy’s and have had many good experiences, but I was in today and waited in line to ask the cashier if they had fireball in the little shooter size. She said yes and pointed to a display at a different register. I went over grabbed 4 and came back and someone else walked up literally in front of me and she proceeded to check them out with their multiple items … no consideration for the fact I already stood in line nor that I was clearly right there coming back to her. I jest need to grab them and go … Definitely disappointed in the service today.
I’ll make a point of giving them another chance and writing another review, just really disappointed in them after the experience today.

Not impressed 36 dollar bottle of tequila 28 dollars at Davidsons and Lucas liquor. Spirits guy C level knowledge. Good wine selection but price is not competitive.

Let me start with this, the past two times I was in this place there must have been at least 5 dogs sniffing the inventory, I don’t know about you but I don’t want any dog’s nose on the bottle of wine I am taking home, ugh, and if you are allergic to dog hair that also can be on the bottle, add to this the sanitary nature of dogs, what are they thinking or are they not
next, the prices at this place when it opened years ago were ok but they are no longer for sure highly competitive, beer prices are no bargain
staff is attentive and courteous and very good variety of product and if you live whatever comes out of a dog’s nose on your wine bottle this is the place for you, bow wow

What it an outstanding place! I made a phone call requesting a rare cake and tipsy’s came through when no one else could. This place is one-​of-​a-​kind and bar none in absolute must. I will continue to shop here and order kegs. Great place absolutely fantastic operation!

Very knowledgeable staff. Ryan took great care of me in the bomber room! Knew exactly what style of beer I was looking for and hooked it up!

Amazing selection of beer, wine, sparkling wine, and spirits. Not every staff person knows a lot about every kind of alcohol. You need to find the people who are familiar with that particular section.
Four stars based on selection, appearance of store, speediness of checkout, and overall helpfulness of the staff.

They just have everything in the freaking world here, don’t they? Wow. Cavernous. Pro tip: the freezing-​ass-​cold room off to the left is where they hide the REALLY swank craft beer. Hit it and overdose on Avery, it’s worth it.

The pros:
you’ll feel like you’re in a shopping mall for alcohol. There’s a putting green, foosball, walk in cooler with thousands of unique beer bombers, tequila in pistol shaped bottles, an entire isle of just margarita mixes, and just about anything related to alcohol you could possibly need for the party you’re about to throw at your house.
The cons:
I didn’t meet a single knowledgable employee. The beer guy (or kid really) asked if we needed help finding anything. My buddy said, «yeah, I’m just looking for something really rare.» He took us to his favorite beer — a bread pudding beer. Bread… pudding.
So then I asked him if he had La Folie from new belgium. He said he wasn’t sure because he hadn’t heard of it. La folie — new belgium, just down the road. One of the most coveted beers in Colorado. So don’t come if you’re looking for assistance.
I then found another associate and asked him which part of this spaceship we were in had ginger beer. He looked a little hazed so I clarified and added that it was for Moscow mules. Then I lost him. I just happened to look to my right and see the isle with the small ginger beer selection. Fever tree. «Ah, here it is.» I walked over and picked up a bottle. He looked at it and said, «oh, it’s a non alcoholic thing.» Yes. Yes it is my friend.
I’ll surely be back tipsy.

If the selection and layout doesn’t impress you, the customer service will.
As will the free summer wine tasting (5 selections) on Friday from 5pm-​7pm and Saturday 4pm-​6pm, different selections each day.
I recently discovered this place (July 2014). I like that it’s not seedy, many liquor stores are. It’s beautiful and spacious, with an easy to decipher layout and ample, helpful staff.
Since I only buy wine, I’ll comment that for most bottles the price is within a dollar of where I may see the same bottle elsewhere. I did see one bottle that I recognize for $ 10 being sold for $ 15, so it’s helpful to know the range. That being said, Tipsy’s offer sales on their wide selection not found everywhere either.
I’ve been to two wine tastings (they are allowed to offer 4 tastings, they usually have 5 choices) and appreciate quality considering that the tastings are free. Bottles can range around $ 12– $ 15 but are on sale already or 10% off.
I don’t have any favorites under $ 14 so this opportunity appeals.
They also offer beer (and spirits?) tasting but I don’t drink those so this is FYI only.

This place is quite a discovery!

Tipsy’s is one of the places I use as a measuring stick to compare any other liquor store I step into against. Tipsy’s is not the cheapest place to buy beer, wine, or hard liquor, but on many products they are competitive on price.
The main reason I stop here is selection and service. If you need help with choosing a bottle of wine for a special occasion the staff here knows their products and has always been helpful when I’ve asked for recommendations. But it’s the selection that sets Tipsy’s apart. From carrying imported beers to many of the local Colorado micro-​brewery lines you will find a nice selection to choose from.
Tipsy’s offers the Make Your Own 6-​Pack option. For under $ 10 you can choose from a very robust selection of import, domestic, and Colorado made beers that will not leave you disappointed. If you go to the back wall you’ll see a line of cooler doors… and 4 of them on the South side are dedicated to the Make Your Own offerings. Many places are doing good to offer ¼ of the selection you’ll find here.
They also carry Kansas City’s Boulevard Brewery line here… the full line at that. And since it’s the closest place to Vegas that I can get their products this detail alone makes Tipsy’s a must stop place for me.

So, there is precious little to say bad about Tipsy’s. Wine Tastings, huge store, and you will be hard pressed to be looking for something you can’t find. The staff is insanely helpful! Even when I walk in «on a mission» because I know exactly what I am looking for, and where, I am asked if I need help. Clean facility, clean bathrooms! Helpful staff on the floor and when you check out. Somewhat scary was figures throughout the store, but it keeps you looking! I love this place. I have compared their prices to local liquor stores, and they are absolutely cheaper. It is worth a bit of a drive, and plan to linger and roam the isles.

A liquor store the size of a huge sporting goods store… yes please! The selection was amazing. The store is also laid out in a very easy to browse fashion. You can find what you need in a hurry, but there’s also lots of aisles and specialties to explore. Loved the whole back wall full of chilled beverages. The shelves were full and well stocked. I ran into lots of helpful employees along the way.
When it was time to checkout there were plenty of lines open and I chose one where I was second. They immediately opened another register so that I wouldn’t even have to wait two minutes. Impressive!
Prices could be a little more competitive, but with their rewards card were pretty much in line with everyone else. Always with the rewards cards, eh? Grrr…

This gigantic liquor store is right on my way home from work, so I stopped in last night to make a small purchase and avoid going out of my way to Davidson’s Liquors.
Tipsy’s has a gigantic selection of beer, wine and hard stuff from all over the world. But I took a look at prices on a couple of bottles of wine, a couple of twelve packs, and a few bottles of booze and walked out.
4 stars for a great selection. Zero stars for having prices that the average corner liquor store would be ashamed of.
I won’t be back.

Tipsy’s Liquor World. The name really says it all. It’s pretty much a tour destination for my Utah relatives. This is a liquor store the size of a Costco. They have a fantastic selection of wine, liquor and beer– including an extra room in the back corner filled with specialty beers. They have a great range of products, from cheap margarita mix to really high-​quality wine. They carry Two Rivers wine from Grand Junction, which definitely gets them bonus points. They have a loyalty card that can give you some good discounts.
Tipsy’s can also provide alcohol for events, and we had them bring the liquor to our wedding. They did a great job in some aspects (delivery was on time, helping estimate what we needed, and having a great selection) but messed up a little in others (brought the wrong vodka– at least one of equivalent value, didn’t have their whole order come in in time, had a slightly confusing email system). That said, everything arrived chilled that needed to be, and delivery was only $ 1/​mile, so while I’d double check your order, this is really a great service.
