Van Dyk Home Remodeling repaired by wooden deck!
In June of 2012 our house got hit hard by the 3 hour hail and wind storm that when through the south part of Denver. After looking at the damage, I called our home owner insurance company and filed a claim. Of course the hail destroyed our roof but it also did a lot of damage to our wooden deck and gazebo top over the deck. The roof was tilting a few inches before the storm because of water damage to the base of the deck. I man not a handy man and have not business using power tools. My wife was always after me to try to fix the deck but I know I would we hospitalized after it collapsed on top of me…
After the insurance company approved the repairs on the deck and agreed to pay for the damage under our storm and hail coverage I contacted Gano and Van Dyk Home Remodeling. Gano is the manager of the remodeling department is and is the head carpenter. He stopped by and inspected the damage and give us a bid, Gano also made a brace to hold the roof up until we made our decision for the repairs. I couldn’t be more thankful for the extra effort, because the next day a wind storm went through Highlands Ranch and would have destroyed our gazebo.
I work full time at a dental office and could not be home during the construction process, but there was not real need. His construction team quickly got the repairs done and made a customized metal brace that really opened up the arches holding up the gazebo top. Rotted wood was replaced and the deck was re leveled after sinking 4 inches into the mud. My wife and I highly recommend Van Dyk Construction and Gano Becker’s construction team. The prices were reasonable and well worth the quality of the repairs. Some times remodeling and house projects are just too big for an normal guy that is not handy with tools (I am talking about ME) As the «honey do this» list grows I will be giving your guys a call to remodel our upstairs bathroom, and may be build an addition to our dining room.
