I don’t understand why this place is getting such low ratings. I’ve been coming here with my mom for years. They have a friendly staff and always work hard to make sure we’re satisfied. Stephanie is the best for manicures, especially gel. They give great massages during your mani/pedi and really clean up all the dead skin. I’m a regular here and couldn’t be happier

I come here because they are clean. I contracted an awful infection(from a different salon!) that took over a year to get rid of. I am very careful about where I go now. I always request Helen. She’s been doing nails a long time, but isn’t burned out on her job. She is thorough and trims my toenails super short just the way I like them. She does this on request — not as a matter of course. She is also very careful when filing my nails to not be rough on the tender skin that inevitably gets exposed and filed along with such short nails! That’s a major plus to me. Bottom of my feet? Baby smooth. I live in Oakley now, but will still come see Helen if I know I’m going to be in town around Pedi time. I highly recommend the salon for its cleanliness and Helen for her service.

I went to Liz’s Nails yesterday with my daughter. The owner worked on me. And she asked questions during my manicure. Asking if I wanted other services. But when I asked questions she didn’t understand or didn’t care. The ridges in my nails are still present. she I believe she was bored with the job she was doing. When asked why didn’t I get the same treatment as my daughter .She said $ 5 more dollars. and then said maybe next time. My daughter on the other hand had a good experience. Good massage and lady was nice and spoke to both of us.

This place is horrible. I went for a manicure and pedicure. They literally could not understand ANYTHING I was trying to ask for. They filed my toes completely crooked. I had to take the file in my hand and show them. It used to be worth going some place where the workers can’t understand English. Now they’re expensive and crappy. Go to someone you can communicate with. Then maybe you won’t spend 65 $ for a crappy job!

I am really confused why this nail salon has so many low star ratings, I have been going here for years. They are very friendly, clean and do a great job, from the shellac to the mani pedi. Of course I do have a preference, I love Tammy and Helen for pedi’s and Anne for the mani’s. The men are great too but I think women give better manicures. I cannot say enough nice things about this salon. I have referred many of my Mom friends due to the wonderful massage alone. Also, the two men running the place have great English, great communication. If the women don’t communicate that well, I just ask to translate, they are worth it… They don’t talk your ear off but are friendly. They always have the game show network on which is fun and not trashy. It’s something everyone can watch, even my little girls.

I have gone here for Lexus off and on for 7 years. Last time I went I paid with my card and left. I was almost to my car and they come running out saying they forgot to charge me 5 $ for the painting decoration. I wS so shocked at their tacky behavior I paid him cash but I should have told him what I thought and kept walking. I will never go back.

If you’re coming here, I would suggest going to Tony. Otherwise, you might get stuck with someone that always touches your wet nails. And leaves your nails painted on the sides. :D

My daughter and wife were very excited to have«girl’s afternoon out» and went to Liz’s for a manicure and pedicure. My wife’s pedicure was nice. The french tip nails on my daughter were laughable. But the worst part for me is that my daughter was paying as a treat for her mom and was treated rudely and came home practically in tears. My wife was treated well probably because they thought she was paying. My daughter works hard for her money and to part with $ 35 for something that we got redone elsewhere the next day really hurt. Not to be harsh but a manicure is something you can get anywhere in Livermore. My daughter got a bad one, was insulted and what could have been a fun time was a drag. If you think I’m harsh, take a look at how many one star reviews I’ve given out in 5 years on Unilocal

this place is only great for Nails and maybe other minor waxes, but do not and I repeat DONOT come here for Brazilian waxes, spare your privates and make a trip to the city and visit Silks nail & spa — they only charge $ 30 bucks and really really worth it. Liz Nails charges $ 45 for a botched job.

If you enjoy putting your money into a paper shredder then I highly recommend getting a manicure there. $ 15 french manicure does not even last you 24 hours! Very disappointed.

Don’t go! This was the second time I went and was again another bad experience! I had a gift certificate so I figured I would give it a shot as it had been 3 years! I went after work one day around 5pm and they put me in the last chair which I have to say didn’t work completely! It had a few broken cycles and would buzz when it got to the broken cycle. They took out the tools… which were just laying in the tray and I should have bolted out of there… I like mine out of a nice sterilized package! By the end… did you know they clean the floors with two towels on their feet as they scoot around the salon!!! Hey… were those the same towels they wrapped my legs in when they were polishing… I sure hope not! There are pleanty of other shops in Livermore! Try anywhere else!

I’ve been going here for years because I like the spa pedicures they offer. Unfortunately, either the polish quality isn’t good or something is going on, because the polish isn’t even shiny by the time I get home, so usually after I get the pedicure done at Liz I go to my own nail place and get a polish change the next day(I know, lame of me.) If you are looking for a relaxing pedicure this is definitely the place to go, they offer several levels of pedicure and take their time, they don’t rush through. I always love the pedis. I haven’t had much luck with the acrylic nails, though,.I only had it done once, by one of the male managers. The nails were thick and the corners were so sharp they scratched me, and they started lifting the next day. I went back and asked him to fix it and he didn’t even remember me, even though it was only the day before he had done it! Plus he INSISTED on pink and white when I wanted the more natural off-white color for the tips. Overall, I got what I payed for, because the prices are lower than my current nail shop, but the quality wasn’t that great either.

Blah! I went here a few times when I first moved to Livermore and was not impressed at all. The owner/woman in charge watches all the girls like a hawk, and gives a horrible manicure! I asked her each time I went not to even bother to cut my cuticles because I knew with her they need up bleeding and peeling the next day which is awefully painful! But each time I went the next day it would be peeling and painful! The worst experience I had there was with this woman and her sister. As I was getting a mani they were arguing in their language and the sister would start talking to me telling me that this was her sister. And of course the woman who was doing my nails pretended she was not speaking! Crazy! I am not paying to be a part of family drama! Oh one good thing about this place is that they have the pedi mask/clay stuff that feels really good. I would say that for pedis its a 4 star but for mani zero stars… they dont last long at all! One plus is that they are not as expensive as other places in Livermore. but I’d rather pay an extra 5 bucks for better service!

I’ve actually been to the other Liz nails a few times as it is very close to my work, but a friend spoke highly of this location, so I thought I’d give it a try. It is less expensive than some other places I frequent, so that is a total plus. I really like the pedicure chairs, this is a big part of the pedicure for me. I was getting ready to go on vacation, and it had been over 4 years since I last had nails on, so I opted for a pink and white gel set. The guy who did my nails did a great job. Even with diving and snorkeling in Aruba, which means hours submerged in the ocean, the nails lasted 3 weeks before I took them off. And while they were lifting around the edges by then, not a single broken nail, and none fell off on their own or even came off that easliy. As for the pedicure, everything was awesome– even down to the cute little hand-painted art complete with tiny rhinestones– except, this is the first time I’ve *ever* had toe nail polish chip off! It might have just been the girl who did it, maybe she didn’t clean the nail bed off enough before applying polish? who knows… I will likely go back again, I’m not socks knocked off impressed, but it was a good value for the money, clean, and overall pleasant experience.

I have been on the prowl for a new nail joint, and a friend of mine frequent the Liz’s on the other side of town… so I thought I would give this place a whirl. It is a small salon, the pedi-chairs are huge and they have the super-massage action that is, at least for me, one of the whole damn points of getting a pedi. They had an ample supply of reading materials as well as a large flat screen tele on the wall. I went for the upsell spa treatment which involved some green minty scrub stuff and a mud mask type thing being put on my legs and feed. I will say, my calves are as soft as a baby’s bottom. The pedi looks great, the place seemed clean, the staff was pleasant and attentive, oh, and the foot massage was delightful. It was a very nice experience, particularly from a budget nail salon. I would go back, for sure!
