My daughter and I have been painting at Café Art for at least 10 years. It’s been a fond daughter-mom tradition that we’re so happy to continue. Café Art has since moved to it’s third location and is under new ownership(within the last year) and better than ever! I have to say that while we always enjoyed it prior, the new ownership/new staff are really top notch and so friendly. The new space is really comfortable and welcoming and parking is much easier. Looking forward to many more years of painting enjoyment as daughter-mom and hopefully with our GHS lacrosse team(if we ever get schedules lined up!).

The pottery to chose for purchasing is limited compared to the Dublin location. Anything decent is pricey. The studio was somewhat depressing; poor lighting, no customers or overhead music, unfriendly manager… Just a plain ol’ bland feel overall with this studio.

Do not buy any of her plates. They will crack. I really liked this place until we made a plate for my husbands birthday. I didn’t check it when I picked it up bc I had my small kids with me. They wrapped it in newspaper. My husband opens it on his birthday and there’s a huge crack down the middle. I was super careful with it so I know it wasn’t something that happened after. I bring it in to show them, and they don’t even offer us a waived studio fee to paint something else. Nothing, just saying«we would of noticed so it must have happened after you left». They’ve totally lost my business. #1 they shouldn’t sell stuff that cracks easily #2 at least offer something as an understanding that this $ 40 gift(cost of the plate plus studio painting time) was a total waist of money and time. My kids were so thrilled to show it off to daddy, and it was a huge disappointment to find it cracked. Bottom line: don’t buy anything other then the junky sculptures bc the plates and I’ll assume the mugs will crack before you use them or gift them.

Spent time at this sweet art studio for a birthday party. Debbie, the owner was very helpful, gracious and made our small party of 5 year olds very happy. Prices of clay pieces are very reasonable($ 4-$ 18) and the atmosphere is quite calm and relaxed. For our party, there was an available fridge and counter space for cake and ice cream and a large table with necessary painting supplies with helpful instruction from Debbie. For an extraordinary time with family and friends, consider Café Art and express yourself !

We had my daughter’s 5th birthday party at Café Art and Debbie the owner was wonderful! They didn’t open until noon, but she opened at 11am specifically so we could have my daughter’s party. If you’re looking for a fun place for a party at any age this is a perfect spot. The staff was friendly, there’s plenty of space and it’s clean. I would definitely recommend it and will do it again.

The customer service here is pretty good. Love how this place have the Christian radio station on. There definitely not afraid to show there faith. I’m not really into art but enjoyed it. Not to much to say honestly…

HORRIBECUSTOMERSERVICE… came in to this location… there was one customer in the place. I asked for 1 small piece of clay to do a tradition family project. The woman refused to roll out one piece of clay because she has a party coming in «later in the afternoon». This was the worst display customer service ever. She’s lost our business for sure… I’ll be spreading the news to all my friends and mom’s groups… Dublin is not that far away! Way to run a business lady!

My grandchildren and I have had many wonderful times at this lovely shop!!! I rarely see a business owner or the staff as genuinely passionate about what they do or as caring and patient with their customers — most of whom are children! My grandson and granddaughter both love going to this Café Art and the owner always takes time to talk with us and teach the kids new techniques. On two occasions she’s taken my grandson over to her computer to find images of «Thomas» and Minions to trace onto pottery — making it easy for him to get a specific design when he wasn’t in the mood to create something freehand. And though my granddaughter usually has an idea in mind, she’s also been interested in some of the more advanced design techniques on display. So on one visit, the owner taught her how to use criss-crossed tape to get a very cool geometric design! Every time we go in she’s so pleasant, friendly, and enthusiastic about helping the kids — even when the place is busy! Her staff reflects her attitude and the music they play is full of happy tunes appropriate for kids & adults alike — making it a very relaxing place too! I highly recommend this shop! We are typically in and out in just over an hour, or 90 minutes tops. The kids have made all sorts of gifts for family members & we plan to make a lot more! I hope that others have the chance enjoy the fun and creativity waiting to be had inside Café Art in Livermore!

I went in to see if I could find some«lights» for my ceramic Christmas tree and was told they have them but they were up in the storage area. I told the woman(I assume the owner) that I could come back any time — even in December knowing this is NOT Christmas season and she said — just give me a day or two so I agreed to return in a week. When I went back she was so apologetic she had not had time to get them down because of the wine festival but asked if I could wait. I said«Yes but I don’t want to put you to any trouble» and reiterated that I could easily wait till December. She got out a huge ladder, climbed up and went through the boxes in storage and found them — put a large handful in a ziplock bag and charge me $ 1.00! Anyone with that kind of customer service deserves to be a huge success.
