David W Gibson, DDS

I have been going to this dental office, based on a friend’s recommendation, for about 3 years. I specifically asked to see Dr. Gibson because that is who my friend sees. On my first visit, I was surprised to be seen by a different dentist. So I made it very clear on my next appt that I specifically wanted my appt with Dr Gibson. They said «no problem, all you have to do is ask» (which is what I did for that first visit). Again, I was surprised when another dentist walked in. I don’t even remember that dentist’s name, because he is no longer there. Each time I went I specially asked to be seen by Dr. Gibson. After 3 years, and never having Dr. Gibson as the dentist that takes care of me, I think I will be changing to a dental office with a little more of the personal touch. To be fair, I’ve always liked whatever dentist they send in, but it just feels too impersonal. The deciding factor happened last time my husband had an appt. I had purchased their in-​office insurance, which entitled both of us 2 check ups & 2 cleanings annually. My husband was charged for his cleaning & exam after his appt, which he paid for before leaving. (He knew I had purchased this insurance, but paid anyway, not realizing his visit should have been ‘no charge’. Considering this office seems to have state of the art equipment, the person at the front desk should have known this. I called them, they acknowledged that we shouldn’t have been charged, and refunded our money. I think it’s just time for a smaller office where we are a name and not a number.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Dr. Gibson is the dentist that I went back to after I moved out of Livermore, and ended up with a butcher for a dentist. I don’t care how far I have to drive, I will always go back to Dr. Gibson. None of the procedures have ever been painful with him. I don’t know how he does it, but I don’t even feel a needle go in. He has the touch of magic! Also, his office is very clean and professional. The staff NEVER say my name correctly, EVER, and that is why I don’t give the office 5 stars. I have been a customer with them for over 10 years. I am tired of repeating my last name. But, Dr. Gibson is awesome. Hands down the best dentist I have ever had.

Great Dentist and staff. They even have massage chairs in the reception area — so I go early! I been with them for about 5 years now.
