I am so disappointed EJ Cattle & Feed Supply decided to no longer do the pumpkin patch. I am a longtime preschool teacher and have taken my students to many pumpkin patches over the years. This one was, by far, the very best. And I have been to the good ones. You don’t find places like it these days. They had some adorable vintage kids rides, a sand pit, a tractor ride, a fire truck ride, many farm animals to pet and feed, and an awesome corn pit. The price was very reasonable and the staff was very friendly and accommodating and parking was easy. Another thing I loved was that you did not have to fight the crowds you run into at the more popular pumpkin patches. My students and parents all loved their experience there.
EJ, I will call and bug you every year for you to open your doors again. That is a promise.

I love doing business with EJ because they treat us like family. They sell a quality product at a great price and know the true meaning of quality customer service. They are the Best! Rocking Z Stables.

I was informed not open this year.
Not enough people to help with the pumpkin patch.

We had such a fun time last year I had to find this place again! I must have spent 30 min on the web to find it, but well worth our time. #1 $ 10 per person is very reasonable since all rides are free once you get in. If you go to any other pumkin patch the rides add up and easily cost $ 20-​$ 30 per child! The service was great (staff are super-​frindly) and lines relatively short. At other places EACH pony ride would be $ 5. If you are looking for bargain prices for pumpkins go to CVS or local supermarket. If you are looking for a fun family event — I would highly recommend. Well-​run family operation — where we felt we were part of the family!

One of the nicest feed stores around. Their hay is consistently good, excellent prices and great customer service. I am really picky about what to feed my cutting horses so it is nice to have a steady source if good hay and good prices on bedding. Plus, it is a small family business which I will always support.

For one city-​slicker enchanted month a year, EJ converts itself into also providing a pumpkin patch sort of visit. $ 10 a head (seniors are free, and seem to be a freebie for military folks as well) covers the admission, the rides (Disneyland it ain’t, but to the 3-​year-​old with me, it may as well been), and essentially free run of the place. [And unless they were playing favorites, there was an admission/​cover charge last year as well… this isn’t a new-​fangled thing they cooked up new this year.]
Rides spanned from the fire engine, a handful of tractor and ATV-​towed wagons, some inflatable bouncey deals (new this year, but not her thing), the play area of corn kernels, a military truck to climb upon, some scooter jobbies, pony/​horse riding area, a handful of picnic tables and a concession stand (open only on weekends).
And more stuff, but I figure it was easier to post photos, so I’ll stop writing.

This is definately the best pumpkin patch around! So much to do, my son and I were there for 3 ½ hours! The people were so friendly and accomodating. I will be back every year!

I brought my daycare group to the pumpkin patch yesterday (13 kids ranging from infant-​9 years old) and they all absolutely loved it! We spent 2 hours and could have easily spent many more, there was so much to do there for any age. My boys both agreed it was the best pumpkin patch they have been to (and we have been to quite a few!).
They charged us an extremely reasonable rate for entrance and included a small pumpkin or gourd for each child. I also purchased several more pumpkins from their patch – some really cool unusual colored ones that you don’t see too often – also very reasonably priced. I met the owners while we were there and they were very friendly and welcoming, making our visit that much more enjoyable.
There is so much to do there it is definitely worth every penny and then some! I will definitely be back both with my daycare gang and my family – we loved it!

My 2.5 year old daughter absolutely had a blast and so did the whole family. The price is expensive $ 10/​person, but for the amount of things they have to offer it was worth it. You get unlimited pony/​horse rides, tractor rides, firetruck ride, corn pit, bounce house & a lot more.

If I’d reviewed this business a year ago, I would’ve given it at least 4 stars. However, this year there’s a cover charge of $ 10/​person, for everyone! So — for me, hubby and our 4 yr old, just to walk into the place, it was going to be $ 30! And that doesn’t even include pumpkins! Nothing on their web page or signage refers to this. We had to drive all the way out there to be informed about the fee upon entrance — with the small consolation that it entitled us to unlimited «rides» — like it’s a carnival or something.
Me & the hubby weren’t interested in rides, and our 4 yr old just wanted to see the animals, maybe ride the train, and get some pumpkins. Needless to say, we didn’t stay and were very frustrated to have to try & explain to our son why we were leaving.
Fortunately for us, hubby used the iPhone and found Joan’s farm in Livermore (Mines Rd). FREE parking AND admittance! Our son ended up riding the little barrel train, did the corn maze and we got 3 beautiful pumpkins — ALL FOR $ 28… less than the cost just to walk into EJ’s Farm.
I’ll have to go review Joan’s farm with 5 stars just for making our little boy smile again.

So, we took our kids (ages 2 and 4), along with my 2 nephews to this pumpkin patch and it was by far the best fun we have had in such a long time. We got there early and the weather was great and honestly it wasnt crowded at all which was so nice! They have everything there from horse rides, a petting zoo, big slides, bikes and mazes and so much more. THe owners were great and it seems like they get just as much joy watching others have a great time. I am going back before the season is over. At first I thought the price was a little high but for $ 10 a person you get to do it all. And honestly it has to be one of the best photo prop stations i have seen. I wish I had my kids dressed up more and I could have made our holiday card taking a picture there. This is a gem… you must take your kids. Also, I got 3 really cool pumpkins, Nothing like the ones you find at safeway. They are really unique colors and so pretty.

Ok so based on the other reviews we went and checked this out – in September which was a bit early! They don’t open for the Open House, pumpkin patch type stuff until October 2. Nothing to do for the kids until their annual pumpkin patch.
Other than that it’s an old barn and lean to on the side of a country road that provides a welcome respite for road bikers looking for some shade and a couple vending machines with Clif bars for $ 1. Oh and the obvious feed and cattle supplies.
Don’t miss the amazing cow dog Robbi-​man can she leap.

I took my almost 2 year old and we had a great time! Lots of friendly animals, corn pit (bring your own sand toys), play area, very mellow swing ride, short «hay» ride, ducks, cows. etc. The place was small enough to feel comfortable and big enough for my little one to explore. The only thing I didn’t like was we had to pay $ 3 to go in and there was a bit of a fly problem when we were there.

AWESOME! Family friendly, fun to hang out and a very nice family run business.

We had a lot of fun. My son’s 2 ½. and he had such a blast. He did not want to leave at all. Definitely got our moneys worth on rides. We rode a fire truck, pony rides, corn pit, the play ground, playing in the sand, farm train, the animals. The snack shack wasn’t to bad either.

Great place to pick up feed and supplies. They are a distributor for Hawkins barns and fencing. I found out this weekend they are also a distributor for Western Saddlery so they can get lots more than just feed. Really nice people.

This place has an awesome pumpkin patch that just opened this year! Their prices are really reasonable and they have a ton of stuff for kids — 3 bounce houses, a little playground, sandbox, animals and a snack bar.
Highly recommend, especially for toddlers!
