R & M Electric Motor Service

Brian was fantastic. I got to R&M on a Friday at quarter to four with a burned up 2 hp spa pump assembly. After a quick look at the assembly, he offered to rebuild it with new seals and a new motor… and to have it ready the next morning… a Saturday! Great service and very knowledgable too. Thanks for the help!

Very good service. Brian was able to find the problem with my hot tub motor. I was about to buy a whole new motor, but that wasn’t the problem. He gave me a lower cost repair of external parts. This is a much better alternative than buying a whole new motor.

Yesterday I had the great good fortune to me Brian, the 2^nd-​generation owner of R&M Electric in Livermore. What an extemely pleasant surprise experience!
I had a 1939 GE electric motor that showed every indication that I had ruined it by burning the windings.
I know nothing of motors so Brian could have VERY easily taken advantage of me, told me my motor was fried, and hard-​sold me on a new motor.
He did not.
What did he do?
1) He came into the shop on the day before 4^th of July when they are normally closed.
2) He tried numerous approaches to repair my old and unusual motor.
3) He found and repaired the problem.
4) READ THIS CLOSELY: He stripped my motor to bare metal and painted it to its original colors!!! I did not ask him to do this! He friggin’ PAINTED the motor!!! On SATURDAY! At NO CHARGE!
Bloody unbelievable!
