Safeway

The customer service is lacking. They always seem to be bothered when you need them to do something. That’s after they finally come out of their little office.
Bought some steaks. Opened them up two days before the sell by date and they were bad. Discolored grey look. Not what I wanna eat after spending 30 bucks on three steaks. Never again.

This is a really large Safeway location not far from Downtown Livermore, and it also has a gas station nearby. Large bakery section, deli, wine, and sushi section along with your usual departments and necessities. Self-​checkout lanes haven’t been a problem for me when I happen to stop by.

As safeways go this one suck. If you need customer service they ignor you and walk right by like you arenot there. I know it is a very busy place bit yo walk by a a customer like they do not matter. That is bad customer service. You shpuld at lets say something like I’ll get help for or I’ll help you as soon as I can.

I go to this safeway all the time. I like it better than the other safeway. I feel its cleaner then the downtown Safeway. The only thing I do not like is that they have small bathrooms and they are most of the time not clean. The staff is very friendly. The parking lot is somtimes a little crazy, but I just park far and walk.

Just got finished shopping at this location. I needed a few things and didn’t want to drive across town to Trader Joes.
My wife refuses to shop at this Safeway and now I know why.
The store was not very busy but you wouldn’t know it by the ones at the registers. I can never understand why they have 16 registers but only a few open. There were plenty of employees standing around. I truly felt no one cared. It’s either poor management or they don’t make enough to care.
I hope I never have to come back

High quality gas wells Fargo inside and the bank is also opened on Sundays! Starbucks and jamba juice very high quality store!

Was in the area with some friends and stopped to get a sandwich, it was my first time to this exact Safeway and I was impressed. The store was huge (compared to the one where I live) and it was very clean and neat in the Café area. The sandwich (carved turkey, avacado and bacon) was deelish. They also had a big lounge area with cozy seats where we ate

The store itself is great. Well stocked and a very pleasant physical environment. The customer service here, especially the cashiers and baggers, is sorely lacking. The best improvement they’ve made in the store is to install self-​checkout stands so I don’t have to get my groceries rung up while being completely ignored because the cashier is talking to the bagger or cashier on the next register about their night out or their plans that night or their kids or blah blah blah. I would conservatively say that 3 out of 4 times through a checkstand, not one word is said directly to me until I’m done and my receipt is handed to me with a, «Here you go.» This store has come a long way in the last 10 years, when all the employees were far more friendly, would stop and talk to you to make sure you were finding everything, and made sure to engage you about your shopping experience (and some of those employees are still here, and they stink just as bad as the rest). Pity, since this is the nicest looking grocery store in town.

I do most of my grocery shopping at this location. The staff especially in the produce and butcher areas are very, very friendly and helpful! Unlike the Safeway across town, I’ve never found any fruit here with mold, so that’s a plus!
The store is always clean too!
The crowd here can be a bit pretentious, lots of stuck up shoppers! The lines can be long but they move quickly.
It is almost impossible to get any help in the customer service area up front. A lot of cashier staff will tend to watch you stand there for minutes on end, but not call for someone to go help you.
Not a bad place to shop.

Don’t come in here unless you’re prepared to spend all afternoon in line and bag your own groceries.

Standard Safeway that gas everything I was needing while on my business trip. The checker did seem like he was on some crazy meth or crack given how fast his jaw was moving. His tongue also was licking his face like he had something sweet on it. Kinda like how my dog licks her chops after eating her birthday cupcake!

Recently found out that this Safeway treats its employees VERY badly and even has employees occasionally work off the clock. *smh*

Just had the best orange chicken from here. High quality meat. High quality fried rice.
Soda section and flavored water. A very varied bakers section. Amazing chocolate cinnamon donut things.
This place is great.

I like to do shopping from safe way but this one they have the worse customer service ever

I use to love Safeway, but our last experience was awful due to poor customer service. I usually rarely give 1 star reviews but it was a horrible experience. Rude!

This is one of the nicest Safeway stores I’ve seen so far. I LOVE the Jamba Juice, Starbucks & Signature deli inside, along with the Wells Fargo Bank inside! The store is really nice looking & well organized.
The prices are a bit cheaper here than the store near my house. And the product selection is also better! The employees are really cool & know where everything is at if you can’t find an item you’re looking for!
Love the convenient location & all of the other cool shops & restaurants in the shopping center as well! There’s always plenty of parking & their produce is always really fresh too!

Stopped for gas and once more when I tried to get coffee at the Starbucks inside they’re out of soy milk. Literally EVERY TIME I try to get coffee at the Starbucks inside they never have Soy milk. Safeway owns the Starbucks inside so I’m confused why the soy, almond, coconut milks they carry can’t be sku-​ed to the Starbucks in the store. It’s 100% useless and frustrating. At 8am why would they be out of soy milk already? All I ever get is a «sorry» but no solution to fix it. Poor customer service due to what I can only assume is a ridiculous store policy.

I just left this Safeway. The manager Michael V. was very rude towards me. I walk down one of the aisle and saw 7 honey bake hams under the sign that says $ 5. I ask one of the employee if this was the right price, she told me they where in the wrong spot. To ask Michael the manager. He respond with that customer put it in the wrong area not one put all 7 of them. In a very unprofessional voice said, I will honer it, but it is not right. He made me feel like I was the one who moved all of them. At the time i was paying for it. He was called again for him to ok the buy and then he cont. to saying Its just not right, but whatever. So I ended up not buying the ham, because he made me feel horrible.

This is a much better Safeway than the one across town. Better service, better selection, cleaner store.
***Be forewarned that people drive like maniacs in this parking lot.
Great layout, good selection. Last time I was here I saw vegan soba noodles. They’re trying to incorporate new things, which I really like.
Safeway sushi is surprisingly decent.
Bakery items are tasty. A lot of doughnuts have cornstarch but Safeway has donuts that I can actually eat — a rarity in this day and age. I love the puff pastry ones with chocolate glaze. They’re cheap, too! Possibly cheaper than the Donut Wheel.
The sandwiches are good. Pricey, but delicious. The croissants are also a decent deal.
Spending a certain amount gets you a discount on gas if you sign up with their program. It adds up.
Overall, I am a fan.

Pretty standard Safeway. I saw nothing to indicate it was particularly good or bad.
Things were organized about how you’re used to and there was a Jamba Juice (and I THINK a Starbucks?) inside the Safeway. Kinda coo.
Two Redboxes. Shelves appeared stocked. What more is there to know?
