Amy is amazing! This is my first time writing any review so that shows how impressed I am with this salon.
I dropped in on a random afternoon and Amy was able to fit me in for a cut and color. I LOVE the natural highlights she gave me, she was able to capture exactly what I wanted.
It has been six months and my hair still looks amazing. It is so hard to find a colorist who is able to understand exactly what you want, I highly recommend Amy and her salon.

I have been a client of Crystal Nunez for 5 years now. Crystal is seriously the best in the bay! I walked in for the first time, desperate, anxious and weary. Praying she would be the one to fix my damaged overly processed brassy hair (done by someone else).I was beyond thrilled and thankful that I had finally found the one! She has since maintained my hair healthy and beautiful AND she only uses the best products. I have never left the salon dissatisfied or disappointed… I absolutely love her work!

Crystal Nunez is TRULY the hair and makeup Goddess of the Bay Area and should be stylist to the Stars! We are incredibly fortunate to have such a Rock Star in Livermore! Hidden gems do not stay hidden forever and she has definitely been exposed!
I have been a client of Crystal’s for the past few years and see her for my hair extensions, color, highlights, blow outs, and makeup. No matter what look I’m after, whether it’s long extensions or an A-​line, she keeps my hair looking up-​to-​date and fabulous!
I can’t stress enough how INCREDIBLY talented Crystal is! Her hair extension work is AWESOME/​AMAZING/​OFF THE CHAIN — you walk out looking like a million bucks. She’s also a makeup artist and does the most beautiful job you will ever imagine.
She also works with Ultraspective Photography in Livermore. Lucky us!
She truly is one of the BEST! If you don’t book with her at least once you are seriously missing out, no joke.

Crystal Nunez is a true talented professional with both color and cut and very amazing with color correction. She listens, is efficient and understands her clients’ needs. She will not let you walk out of there unhappy. Beautiful work!

My entire family gets their haircut by Amy. She does a great job and is very reasonably priced. She is always on time too which is wonderful.
And I love that they offer you wine there while you’re getting a cut. Someday I’ll have a glass…

Kristina is the best. I’ve been to a few people around town and just never found anyone who can make the decisions I couldn’t make about my hair. I’m if that age where the grays start popping up beyond the plucking attempts. She recommended a highlight since I didn’t want high maintenance and she nailed it! Grays disappeared and I didn’t need to go back for almost 3 months. We tried a bit bolder the next visit and I got home and had a bit of blonde shock even though I grew up a toehead. She asked me to come back, she toned down the blonde and didn’t even charge me. Wow! Great stylist and great customer service. I won’t go anywhere else. Did I mention there’s wine??? 5 stars all around!

Theresa has made me fall in love with my hair I went in with a photo of what I wanted and she nailed it! She was funny and hospitable… she went over my «hair history»…asked me about hair likes and dislikes… and hair goals… she was attentive, educated, experienced and accomodating. She took special care to avoid a new ear piercing… even warmly welcomed my parents, when they arrived early to meet me, offering them refreshments. The salon is beatiful and clean, large and inviting. I would certainly recommend Theresa to anyone looking for cut, color and/​or style.

I went to Crystal back at her previous salon and got a few blowouts from her. After building this awesome trust (because blowouts are hit or miss) I had her do my hair and makeup for my birthday and OH my god, I’ve never gotten so many compliments. No joke, she’s one of the best hair AND makeup artists I’ve ever seen.
Now I go to her regularly for coloring and haircuts, her ombré and balayage especially are amazing!
Crystal herself is so sweet and cool, you will enjoy this already enjoyable visit. Book with her or forever may your hair suck! Lol

Crystal Nunez just recently moved to this salon, from another salon in town, and what an asset Strands Salon has gained. She is both personable and professional. She also works closely with UltraSpective Photo if your looking for the whole package you’ve got it. I highly recommend Crystal and her level of expertise in the industry is amazing. She keeps up with all the latest trends and is always up on current looks! I’ve never walked away dissapointed!

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this yet. I have really thick hair that do what it wants and have a really hard time finding a good stylist. I bought the groupon for Theresa and was not disappointed! I had a cut and highlights and absolutely love it! I had previously had a hair cut at super cuts :-(and my slight trim turned in to a nightmare. Theresa rescued my bad cut and rocked my highlights. Strands is a modern comfortable atmosphere, and very clean. All the girls have been very friendly. I will refer her to anybody!

I liked this place — it’s got a neo-​boho vibe, is very clean, and super relaxing. The stylists bring you a soda while you wait, let you chill out with a magazine, it’s very much like being pampered.
I came here with a groupon and got the shampoo & rinse, a hair cut, and highlights. Teresa was my stylist and she did a really good job, although I was disappointed that the highlights weren’t more visible. I’d told her that I wanted the most natural look and she really did give me natural so I guess next time I should say «natural but something that stands out…»
I’m not really a girly-​girl — I don’t get manicures or haircuts very often, but it was nice to be spoiled this once. I recommend this place to people who enjoy that sort of thing. Going here was enough to realize that the girly scene wasn’t really me. ;)

2.5 stars because she was nice & the place was clean.
I went to try Teresa because my usual stylist was out of town for 4 months & I really needed a haircut. Badly.
I was also hoping to find an alternate & get new ideas.
Teresa was very nice, and I mentioned I like long loose layers, but she gave me a blunt all-​one-​length cut, and it really is boring & does not do much for me.
She may be great at coloring (which I did not get) but I was not impressed with the cut.
She did not give me a mirror to check it or give any feedback, her next client had come in & that was that.
Maybe this was because I used a groupon, the value listed was $ 70, could have gotten the same cut for $ 20, and I spent $ 29, so I guess I really got what I paid for & not a deal.
I will keep searching.

I started coming to this location because of Teresa. Teresa is AMAZING she has saved my hair many times from crazy decision my mom and I have made. I trust her with my hair 100%. She knows what looks good what my hair needs and does what is best. There has never been a time where I have left not happy with what she has done. I love the lay out of this place it is a very relax feel when you walk in to the salon which I love. They also have coffee and team! You must visit Teresa if you need your hair done you will not regret this decision!

Realized I’ve never Unilocaled the place considering I’ve already been here TWICE!
The funny thing is, I actually started coming here just because of Teresa! She used to work at another Salon my mom had a Groupon for, and I fell in love with her work. :) I ended up getting her highlights-​haircut combo, which I don’t regret for a second; the job was phenomenal!
I recommend Teresa if you’re looking for the best, natural-​looking highlights/​touch-​ups. :) She has fantastic taste and talent.

I wouldn’t trust anyone but Erin with my hair. She knows all the up to date styles and trends. She is passionate about her work and very kind. Look no further!!!

Went here for my first time, asked a friend of mine where she gets her hair /​extentions done and she lead me straight to strands salon. The salon was super cute, as soon as I walked in I Met Jamie for the first time and she was so sweet and welcoming, I was a brunette looking to get highlights and extentions just in time for my boyfriends sr ball, and she did an amazing job of blending my hair and matching my extentions perfectly with my natural hair! So I recommend Jamie to anyone! Love this place will be back again :)

I’ve been seeing Jamie for 3 years now and I can’t imagine letting anyone else touch my hair. She knows exactly what to do to take me from a mousy brown to a vibrant blonde (especially when I don’t visit as regularly as I would like to). Her cuts are perfect and after the blowout I leave feeling like a new woman.
I would HIGHLY recommend Jamie for cuts, color and highlights. I know she also does amazing extensions — I’ve yet to take the plunge yet, but when I do I know Jamie’s work will exceed my expectations!

Erin is the best! I will never every go anywhere else, and I STRONGLY recommend you go see her for your cut, color or both!
When I first went into see Erin, I had an ombré with dark brown and copper red. Erin has since brought me to my natural blonde (minus the grays) with gorgeous lowlights. She has also done my tape-​in extensions on multiple occasions, and rocked em! She makes them look so natural when she cuts them, and not one falls out between our 6 – 8 week appointments.
Do yourself a favor, and book with Erin :)
