First time there and we are happy we searched it out. It’s a small place but we were able to get a table without having to wait. The place is spotless, with excellent service and delicious food. The salad that accompanied the meal was a real surprise with all types of fresh veggies that you don’t find at other restaurants. We will definitely return.

What a treasure we found here. My husband and I just wanted breakfast and ended up with a wonderful memory as well. Sarah Faye cooked us an incredible plethora of flavors. I had an omelet she suggested and it was fabulous. My husband had eggs Benedict he said was to die for. Then I spotted her cookbook and bought one for a friend and one for us. She personalized them with her autograph and a little note. It(the cookbook) is extremely well done and I’m looking forward to using it. Terrific meal, coffee, jam, fresh fruit and her special twist on hash browns. YUM!

Five stars for atmosphere, service and most importantly food. Everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend a visit. I had three yumtwist tacos with a salad. Make sure you try the local Arthur Wayne hot sauce… The huckleberry ghost was unreal.

Enjoyed Breakfast Twisty Tacos with the trout Yumtwist. Sarah has tasty Cinnamon rolls and Bearclaws, too. Very personalized and attentive service.

I can’t say I’ve had better food anywhere in livingston besides Faye’s café! I think about how badly I want the amazeballs and Mac everyday. They do something very different there and it works! The food is like if your grandmother was making you something for lunch(or breakfast). thanks for such awesome food and service! Keep it up!

My girlfriend and I decided to check it out on our way to Chico after reading all the positive reviews and we were glad we did. It was a little off the beaten path, tucked into a corner of the performing arts building. The place was well decorated with artwork and tons of knickknacks on the walls, giving it a homey vibe. They were playing the Pixies too so that’s a plus in my book! Of course the food was the reason we came and it was delicious, they have a handful of basic menu items plus flavor twists you can add on. These consisted of things like pulled pork and sauces or vegetables, all sorts of things to add variety. The service was excellent and the coffee was strong, just how I like it. If you’re in Livingston, I highly recommend Faye’s Café.

Fantastic home cooked food. The eggs Benedict are fantastic from the breakfast menu and the nut crusted chicken sandwich is my favorite from the lunch menu.

Wow. All those stars, we were excited. We entered & waited a short time as the cook & single waitress were to busy to seat us. The cook finally looked up and told us to pick a table that was open. We sat and again waited. One waitress for the room, maybe 10 – 12 tables? That’s nuts! When she finally got to us I asked about V8 or Tomato juice. They have none. Ok, coffee. Eventually the coffee arrived with water glasses. No straws, and no sugar selections on the table so again I had to wait to get her attention and ask for sugar. Got that immediately and off she went while we studied the menu some more. I tried the coffee & while it was strong enough for me, I was spitting out coffee grounds moments later. The waitress finally got back to our table, my wife asked a question, and the waitress suddenly walks off and says«I’ll give you time to think about it» … wow, I don’t need any more time to «think about it.» When she finally came back after seating other people, clearing tables, etc. and while my wife had decided, she asked what the vegetables were for the day, and again the waitress goes off to service at least half a dozen other people without even a look back at us. At last, I’ve pretty much had enough. We got up and left… the waitress probably didn’t care and I simply said«goodbye» as we walked past her. We went to Pinky’s instead… Now maybe we are the first to experience this issue, but I doubt it. Not everyone« Unilocals» but I sure was ticked off when I left. The food looked good, but the service is right up there with the worst on the planet. If you are considering eating at Faye’s, don’t. I don’t often give ONESTAR, but if I could, it would be ZERO stars… there are a lot of places to eat in Livingston and this place should not be one of them. AVOID!

Yup, there’s a reason why this place has perfect reviews from everyone, it’s that good. Stopped in while driving across the country and was in dire need of something that wasn’t fast food. The place was a little challenging to find but listen to your GPS, it’s in that big brick building. Upon first impressions, the entire place was clean and well decorated. The food is amazing, everything was good my friends and I shared and enjoyed it all. Amazeballs are amazing, I could go on forever but just try it. Easily one of my favorite places I have ever eaten at!

What an amazing little find in Livingston! Hard to find but look for yard signs that will help guide your way. Wait staff is so friendly and explains all the yumtwist and what exactly is an amazeball??? First off the atmosphere made me feel like I was back on my great grandmothers farm in her kitchen waiting to taste her recent creation! From the mix matched chairs to the cloth napkins I was at home! If the menu suggest adding a certain yumtwist do it! Coffee is a must as it was delicious. Highly recommend this place as they will even make you Mac n cheese for breakfast!

I was a little skeptical when I saw the perfect Unilocal score, but Faye’s did not disappoint. I had the eggs Benedict with carne asada. It was great. My parents had the omelette and the breakfast sandwich. Both of them really enjoyed their food. The server was super energetic and friendly. Peruse through the art galleries and glass shop after your meal of you aren’t in a hurry

Real silverware and cloth napkins. Very tall ceilings and maple floors. Classic classroom windows lighting a well appointed space. A real place to enjoy some real room after a long ride in the van. Faye’s is located in the renovated, classic public school building, a massive brick edifice that has taken 3 to five years to update and convert into this successful arts center. Spending some time with the service staff learning to navigate the menu. It is unique, like a game, and fun. It encourages substitutions. Lots of substitutions. Today’s fish is crab, so I’m devising a way to include it in my twisty taco. Our table is also ordering a cheese omelette and the«Best Breakfast Sandwich Ever.» I’m drinking their French press coffee and it is so fine I’m drinking it black. The tea selection is Stash, Tazo, Yogi, Wisdom, Traditional Medicinals, and Bigelow. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I’m still trying to get my mind around the fact that I came to Livingston to find the best crab tacos I could ever imagine.

We have been traveling from the state of Washington to Florida by the southern route and back by the northern route. We read about Fayes on Unilocal and stopped for lunch. I can honestly tell you it is the best food we’ve had out on the entire trip. Don’t miss this place.

I lived in Austin TX, the home of Breakfast tacos, and I have never had a better taco than the twisty taco at Faye’s. I yumtwisted my already delectable item with a #2(nutty chicken and lemon aioli etc.) and it was everything I dreamed of. Found this spot on Unilocal and read all the great reviews and had to try it. I ordered the Yellowstone mud cheesecake(for $ 1) and it was the perfect portion and totally delish. Come try this place out if you love good food. Thanks and I’ll be back!
