I was looking to refinance my summer home since the rates have gotten much lower than when it was purchased. I found Fortren Funding here on Unilocal and decided to give them a call. They offered me a lower rate than my personal bank and even the credit union at work. Melanie Arroyo at Forten made sure everything went smoothly and we closed quicker than originally told. She was knowledgable, personable and made a boring and invasive process all the more bearable. Car dealership type sales approach… so if you like that, maybe they are the right broker for you. NOT how I like to do business.

Terrible experience. Deceptive practices, bait and switch with rates. I’m embarrassed to say they dragged me along for @ 65 days. Finally, when I had enough, I contaced Chase Bank and closed on a refinance in 29 days with a rate .25% lower rate and more favorable closing costs.
