I wish I could give them zero stars, one is too much for the service. I admit I called an informed them I was running late for my appointment to which I ask them please let me know if you have that many people so I can change my appointment. The manager informed no worries and no need to re-​schedule. When I came in and handed out the keys he was trying to push me to get new tires. He kept trying to give me different prices and encourage me to use the sears card. To which I said no thanks. I asked him how much the oil change will take, he told me two hours tops. I called twice to check the status and in both occasions they hang up on me. Since I was at the mall I decided to go in the 2 hours and half later for my surprise they have not touched my car. One of the guys who was working with the cars when he saw my car yelled out loud towards me you still here? To which I replied your boss told me you guys are backed up. For which he had to laugh while I cursing under my breath. I had to call the main office and verify if I could file a customer service report against this place. They managed to resolve the issue by giving me $ 10 credit, For me it was not enough, I almost had an accident going back home with the snow. I would had re-​schedule since I knew it was going to snow by the time I got out. Which was 4 hrs later. I came in at 1:00 and got out at 5:19PM. Seriously people take your business related to your car elsewhere. Don’t come here is horrible! Horrible customer service, attitude and long wait times plus the place is expensive to the quality of service you get.

One star is to good for them. I have bought diehard batteries for the last 20 years and no more. Quality goes down as the price goes up. I went in at 5 pm to ask to have the battery checked. I was told it was a 3.5 hour wait to test the battery. The battery cost was 169 — 219. I went to battery plus in Whippany, test right away. Cost 124 included tax testing, new battery with higher cracking Amps 668 to 800. Never going back.

This place has been really hit or miss with me. Most of the time I can make an appointment and be in and out within an hour. However, today I have been here an hour and a half, with the last 20 minutes being me watch no one touch my car after it had been up on the lift and service performed.
When I tried to make today’s appointment a couple of days ago, I literally called 6 times, with no one answering the phone and it ringing until it hung up. This was after attempting to make an appointment online and their system was down. When I finally got ahold of someone, I mentioned that I wanted an oil change and to check the code on my check engine light. They proceeded to tell me to check the code it was $ 80! I argued immediately that there was no way they would charge me for that because I had done it here before for no cost, and said I would just go to autozone where they do it for free (which is what I did). When I brought in the car I mentioned they didn’t need to do the engine check and they made a bit of a hissy out of it. I said that I had fixed it myself at autozone and they scoffed and asked if I wanted it double checked. I declined, obviously; I fixed it myself!
Normally these guys are okay, but today has left a sour taste in my mouth. The $ 17.99 oil change coupons keep me coming back, but going somewhere else and paying more may be worth the peace of mind.

It’s amazing they’ve not been shut down yet. Went in for a nail in a tire on a Sunday and had to wait for ~3 hrs. (It wasn’t busy.) When they finished, they didn’t roll the passanger window up, so my car was open for anyone to take anything inside. Horrible experience. Don’t trust them.

Sears auto center doesn’t even deserve the one star that I have to give them! Horrible service, horrible attitudes, and extremely long wait times. Never again !!!

If i could give 0 stars I would. I scheduled an oil change, rotation and I needed a patch for my tire. My appointment was made by the manager the same morning as my 1pm appointment. I arrived early 1235, it was nearly 1 before someone took my infomation. 130 before I was in the system w a work order. It’s now 3pm and I am still sitting here waiting. To make thing worse, they failed to have the model (manager was given all info at the time of our phone call) specific parts and failed to inform me while I was waiting that they had to go get the part. Icing on the cake came when they couldn’t find the nail in my tire which was clearly there when I was asked to point it out. The staff moves with no sense of urgency or purpose. I am beyond frustrated and will be reaching out to corporate. Unacceptable.
Avoid this auto center at all cost.

They have next to no inventory. I’ve gone here twice. Once for a headlight that was blown and once to get a quart of oil (5W-​40 synthetic). Both times they had none even though these are items sears claims they carry. And I’m not surprised. Looking at the shelves they have next to nothing in stock so it wasn’t just my bad luck. Save yourself the trip and go somewhere else. Also their prices are high. Found the same oil on amazon for 30% less.

Worst service EVER! I never write reviews on Unilocal but had to for this place. Went in at noon, was told it would take 2 hrs at most, and didn’t leave until 530. The man that took care of me at the front desk was very rude and inconsiderate. I will never be going back to this sears EVER!

You really can’t go to a worse place than here. Service HORRIBLE techs are all incompetent and ignorant. The so called manager Jeff Miller is even more useless. These people have the mindset of
«minimum wage, minimum effort» it’s clear that they are miserable and Sears doesn’t seem to care. It’s sad really. DON’T GO!!! They barely deserve one star.

Customer service at this Sears is pretty bad. Don’t get me wrong though some of the techs are good and definitely know their stuff and they have top notch alignment machines. it’s hard to get over the initial customer interaction with the service reps as they don’t seem to care and just treat your car like crap no matter what.
I get that the techs don’t usually work on cars that are «hard» but they should have received the proper training regardless from those technical schools they graduated from, I hope. I met one tech who knows what he’s doing and his name is Andy Lenhart, really good with alignments and I suppose other work as well. There was one other person that was good at alignment jobs but I forgot his name.
Overall, if it weren’t for their equipment I would never come here or to any sears for that matter. Why waste all the money and time when you can find specialized alignment shops for a similar price. It took a while for my car to even get on the lift and once it sounds hard to work on they try to get out of it. i can’t blame them since they don’t get paid much and every job counts but hey, a job is a job no?
I wouldn’t necessarily come back because I love it here. I would come back because I don’t have anywhere else to really go as all Sears Auto Centers are the same anyway. The next best thing would be to do the alignment myself and compared to everything I did to my car so far that would be cake. i gave this place 2 stars because of the knowledgeable techs that I spoke to and that’s about it. Service really sucked the big one here.
