This Walgreen s location is the absolute worst pharmacy I have experienced. They tell you 20 min wait, but one hour later they are still working on it. The guy who usually is there working the cashier is not friendly, not competent, and can be lazy. I feel like even the pharmacist can be lazy or super slow. They usually have so many people working there yet there is always a delay. Something is off. Aside from falsely informed and long wait times as well as not informing you about insurance issues ahead to help avoid a 2nd trip to the pharmacy there is one example I would like to provide. My doctor submitted a prescription which was not covered fully. After waiting for 40 mins(for I dont know what) they told me to call my doctor and insurance to get another prescription. And so I did call my doctor and insurance to send a new one that is covered. .but unfortunately that same cashier guy said we dont have that one I want with DHA. I had to call my insurance another 2 times as well as my doctor because they were confused as to how could that be. We called the pharmacy together and finally someone else got on the phone and said o sorry our system only allows a certain number of characters in the name. In other words the naming convention cut off the DHA from prenatal + ob+ dha. The guy didnt look at ingredients but rather looked for it in the name which he couldn’t find because the system cut it of. That was really annoying bc 4 days later, 3 long conversations with my insurance, 2 calls to my obgyn, 1 hour in person wait time, 30 mins wait on the phone, and 2 trips to the pharmacy I got the prescription I went in for. This could have all been avoided if he knew what he was doing. Anyhow there were more examples but this should cover it. I should have left a long time ago but kept giving them benefit of the doubt. I have officially changed my pharmacy to the cvs down the street. PS…my old walgreens on river road edgewater nj was great. Their pharmacists and customer were the best. They actually found me a comparable prenatal themselves when my insurance was lacking overage. They also called the doctor directly. I didn’t have to do anything. They were the only reason I chose walgreens in Livingston over cvs when we moved here in june.

I have been going to the Walgreens in Livingston since it opened. However their new program of receiving text messages for refill is extremely deceiving. I was getting a new prescription as well as a refill. However, when My husband showed me the RXs-it included a prescription that I no longer take. When I returned the next day, the pharmacy told me they could not take the prescription back and reimburse me — even though it was fully packaged. I was told that I should check to prescriptions at the counter before I leave the store. Walgreens has lost a customer they’ve had for over 25 years.

Many of the staff in the pharmacy are friendly and willing to help. However they are quite inefficient. Very long hold times on the phone and the pharmacy manager is decidedly unhelpful. Other nearby locations in Roseland, Florham Park, or Caldwell are far superior.

Despite what others say, I have found this pharmacy to be wonderful. On first site it seems like an 80’s throwback, but the staff is always eager to help and get you through check out in a timely manner. Pharmacist has always been friendly an helpful… even when they have to call my insurance provider. The parking lot can be tricky– gotta look for those whom are not looking for you…#FenderBenders

dirty and the wait for an rx was over an hour, even with no one else in the store.
