Friendly, welcoming and kind best describes the atmosphere at Ambrose Academy. It truly feels more like a community or even a family then simply place to learn martial arts. But what better atmosphere is there to learn in? Children and adults both thrive in the environment here, learning not only techniques of self defense, but building confidence, responsibility and self esteem in the process. Having recently attended a weekend seminar here, it was obvious to me that something special is going on at this school. I lost count of the number of people that came up to me to sing praises about the school, and tell me stories about how it had dramatically changed their lives. This kind of social support and community is becoming increasingly hard to find. Classes are offered almost every day, with plenty of opportunities for all levels to train. They have a website and a Facebook page with extensive information about class times, types of classes, and the general art and science of Wing Chun Do. I’m someone that likes to do a lot of research before I try something new, so this worked out very well for me. If you’re not sure if you’ll like it, they have a good starter package that’s cheap($ 30 for a uniform and 3 classes) and will give you a feel for what you’re getting into without signing any contracts. If you’re at all curious about learning a martial art, or want a family friendly place for your kids to try it, definitely check out Ambrose Academy!
