The food was excellent and our waitress Amanda was extremely knowledgeable about the food and was very helpful in helping us make the right decision! We would most definitely come back and the atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon was relaxed and quiet! What an amazing experience and we look forward to it again!

I enjoy this place. I am into the whole island escape style and vacation/tropical atmosphere they have going on here. It’s nice during the summer and on some weeks when they have live entertainment on the enclosed patio. Their food is good, they have different island themed food, and some traditional-ish items as well. A couple of my favorites are the center cut sirloin and the slab of baby back ribs. I’ve tried a couple other dishes there as well. They have a good selection of beers on draft as well, including their house beer, «aruba red» which is not bad. This place is kind of pricey, and by that I mean it’s a little bit more expensive than your typical red robin. It’s about 40⁄50 for two people with drinks and tip. The food here is great, friendly staff, and the atmosphere is awesome as well.

My family and I came here this past weekend for the 1st time for my sisters birthday and we had the most wonderful time. Our server Amanda was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and was so helpful and patient with us as it was our first time there. She really created a great experience for us and we will definitely request her next time! The manger who was circling the restaurant was very attentive and made good conversation with the guests and made everyone feel welcome. The food came out fast and was hot, fresh and soo good. Awesome experience. We will definitely be back!

I have been here 4 times so far, and each time I have gotten the buttermilk chicken breast. It’s so good I haven’t wanted to try anything else. I observed and tasted others food, and it was good, but nothing compares to the buttermilk chicken. I’m sure there are other good items on the menu, but I don’t know if I’ll ever try them. Good service and a fun tropical atmosphere. 4 stars just because I don’t know what most everything else tastes like.

Had dinner with my family here over the holiday break we really loved it! The kids menu had a lot of choices for my kids and they were very pleased with their food. The regular menu also had so many options to choose from. Everything was good from the appetizers to the salads to the dinners. We were able to reserve ahead of time online which was a plus! Will definitely be coming back for dinner with the family.

I love this restaurant. There are only 2 nearby(the other in Troy, by my job) so I frequent both. I do prefer the other location to this one due to the customer service, but the food and drinks are great at both. I usually try to go during happy hour because ½ off appetizers is difficult to resist and Bahamaritas are just $ 4! The jerk chicken wing appetizers are crispy and tasty and come with a wonderful sauce that doesn’t come with the jerk chicken dinners and the beef empanadas are flavorful, especially with the pineapple chutney.(I’m a sauce boss). I usually get the sirloin, which is decent for $ 17 and I like the garlic butter. Chimichurri is a little oily. At this particular location they seem to have trouble cooking the steak correctly, but I usually enjoy anyway. Pastas are okay, but tragically bland so I tend not to order that. Michelle at the bar is great.

I’d been here before a few years back but I don’t remember what I had and it never stood out as a place I needed to come back again. This is a regular spot for my sister and friend and my reason for coming back was for a friends baby gender reveal dinner. Came on a Friday night and it was packed. I didn’t know this place was so popular. We had a reservation for 8:30p and we started with a group of 15 and ended with 22. We arrived early and had a few minutes of wait time before they seated us in the back. This is a pretty huge place, I didn’t know just how big it was. There is an step up level with a bar and dining area to the left of the entrance and an enclosed space where a live performer was on stage. Anywho, because of our party size it looked like we had 2 servers. Customer service: I’m trying to be as objective as I can due to our party size but… the wait for taking orders, drinks coming, and returns could have been better. More on that in a minute. that night was my non vegetarian day so I wanted to indulge in a little something so I ordered a non alcoholic piña colada smoothie, a cup of black bean soup, hummus as my appetizers and the creole chicken and chorizo pasta for my entrée. smoothie was good. the soup was excellent. just the right amount of spice and the cilantro crema was on point. the hummus was a good sized portion and seemed to be a red pepper hummus and was served with crisp flat pita crisps, peppers, carrots, and celery. hummus needed a little bit of salt, the veggies were good and crisp but some of the carrots looked a little brown. my disappointment came with the entrée. I had high hopes for flavor with the black bean soup but the pasta was sooo bland. omg, I was like what the heck. creole is spicy. chorizo is spicy. nope, spice was nonexistent that I had to ask for red pepper flakes. and salt was completely forgotten. yes, I had to season my food for flavor. a huge plate of bow tie pasta came. I’m looking for the chicken and the sausage, I mix up the pasta and it was underneath all the pasta. there was more pasta than there was meat and I was highly annoyed cause I don’t like to waste my meat days. when I want meat, I want MEAT. I’m not saying that because I don’t eat meat, i showed my sister the plate and asked her if that looked right and she laughed and was like all i see is pasta. i think the choice of pasta is wrong. it was just a flavorless blah dish. which is a shame cause my sister raves about her favorite dish that she orders, the buttermilk fried chicken breast… um, i had a bite of that and THAT was good. it looked great, awesome portion and was seasoned. i was so jealous of her plate. a couple others ordered the jerk chicken pasta and they voiced that they thought it was bland and needed seasoning as well as spice. back to customer service. one thing i can’t stand is staff that doesn’t move with a sense of urgency and my drink being on empty and my having to wait for a refill. again, i am trying to be as understanding as i can due to our party size however, the whole time i observed staff standing around chit chatting and checking their phones while my water and others’ drinks are forever empty. a party is talking, ordering apps, and waiting for food, um, yeah, people are going to need refills on beverages and shouldn’t have to wait to flag you down for a refill. only one restaurant i go to gets that right. stop talking and get to working, talking slows down production. i was so annoyed. so. annoyed. i MAY be back just to get that buttermilk chicken. MAYBE. i don’t know, it depends on my mood, if i want to take the drive, and if its a day worth eating meat.

I had a doctor’s appointment in Livonia and got out around 4:30 p.m. I told one look at the backed up freeway and quickly decided to grab a bite in the area until the dreaded 5 o’clock traffic died down. I made my way over to J. Alexander’s and saw that Bahama Breeze nearby. I hadn’t been to BB in a while and quickly remember a couple of their dishes that i was fond of. I quickly pulled up the menus for both J. Alexander’s and BB to see if anything tickled my fancy. Once I realized it was happy hour and two of my favorites(coconut shrimp and chicken tostones) were half off, it quickly made my decision for me. So, I headed to BB. I decided to sit at the bar area and browse at the drink and food menus again for just good measure. I debated between getting the ultimate piña colada or the bahamarita but the calorie count facts on the menu helped me decide not to indulge. I did decide to go with my original considerations and opted to go with the coconut shrimp and tostones for my meal. And boy, they did not disappoint! Both were just as tasty and plentiful as I remembered. The lobster and shrimp quesadillas and haberno wings also caught my eye but I decided to save those for another time. My service was excellent. Dave was my waiter and was very attentive and had a nice sense of humor. You could tell he genuinely enjoys his job, which is rare in this day and age. The waiter who brought me my food was also very nice. He made nice conversation with me and offered to bring me some sour cream to go with my tostones free of charge. Even the other customers at the bar were friendly and nice. Overall, it was a really good experience. I left satisfied and full and at half the price. You can’t really beat that!

I took my husband here for a Sweetest Day date. His very first time going. This week was their Rumtober Fest. We both had the 3 drink destination flights, which were reasonably priced and very good. Appetizers: Conch fritters and Spinach and artichoke dip. Chips were rightly seasoned and fresh. Fritters were fried just right. He had the Lobster and shrimp fettuccine, which had a very hearty helping of both… Some in every bite. I had the Jamaican jerk chicken with rice and plantains. Over all… We had a very good experience. The server was very pleasant and food came out prompt. No complaints at all…

Food was great and the atmosphere is good. The only thing is we dined on the closed in patio and there were too many flies and bees.

A group of us gathered at Bb for happy hour/girls night. We started out in the gazebo and it was sooooooooo freaking hot/muggy. The place has tons of windows and yet the breeze wasn’t coming through– they had an industrial sized fan blowing and it wasn’t doing anything. I wish we had turned right around and gone inside. For 2 hours we sweated and lost our appetite for food and drinks our server did a good job at taking our orders and getting our checks, but had the personality of a rock we then went inside to continue our celebratory mood and cool off. They have a great happy hour 4 – 6 and again 9 – 11. Our second server did a good job at managing our drink and food orders– The manager was great at accommodating us.

We came to dine with a group of four after seeing a movie. Unfortunately, the power went out after we ordered but we were drinking our diet cokes waiting for a power resurrection. After about 25 minutes, the power was still not on and everyone was still sitting in the dark. The waiter saunters over with two of the meals I stated, we prefer to eat with our guests and we’ll wait until the power comes back on. Well, after awhile, it was obvious that the power outage was going to last awhile so we decided to leave. I have two complaints that warrant a two star rating. (1) — The waiter should have asked if we wanted to wait and serve all four meals together. (2) — They actually charged us for the two soft drinks. I understand the power outage had nothing to do with Bahama Breeze. However, I also know the cost of fountain pop. Come on Bahama Breeze… you really couldn’t afford to comp the diet cokes? When you’re with a group of four, isn’t it expected that all four people want to eat together? These are rookie mistakes that screams of a cheap establishment. That, I’m afraid is unacceptable to this reviewer.

The crab appetizer has got to be one of the best in the country. Prior to Bahama Breeze my favorite crab appetizer was in West Palm Beach at the Avocado Crab. Every one of the appetizers that we’ve tried are just amazing, we still have a few to go and can’t wait to try it the last few remaining.

NEVER coming back here again. A cockroach ran up my legs and through my dress, and it ended up crawling up my chest. I was moved to a different table where I found a dead cockroach at the corner of the booth. Service was terrible as well. The manager didn’t even come to apologize, and I paid full price for my meal. Needs health inspection. Didn’t even take a bite of my food. So disgusting!

Three stars for the food, four stars for service. We had quite a large group for our dinner party and the staff was quite accommodating. The waiter was able to split all the checks accordingly which is a rare act to find in many restaurants these days. I only ordered a bowl of the clam chowder and it was pretty tasty. It was a bit weird finding imitation crab meat in it but with a few squirts of hot sauce, this soup was downed in a couple of minutes. The dinner guests all seemed to enjoy what they ordered, but I can’t say much on the food quality bc I only ordered a soup.

The food was ok, but not extraordinary. I thought the wood grilled chicken was very tender and tasty, and the calypso shrimp linguine dish was flavorful. The coconut shrimp was good, and so was the conch fritters. The lemonade was way too sweet, but we diluted it with ice water. The seafood paella, jerk chicken and the Mahi & Shrimp with Lemongrass Sauce were just ok. I guess I’m not a fan of Carribean food. Overall I’m not impressed.

I’ve been here many times over the years, but I guess only checked in once on Unilocal. The better half and I had lunch here while visiting with an old friend. I guess I was lucky as some other reviewers have complained about the waitstaff. Our waitress was fantastic and seemed to visit just the right number of times without making you feel like you had a mouthful of food every time they appeared. Granted, it was lunch and this could be why it wasn’t as busy. I’ve always had good, if not great, food here, but the fact that I live in Nashville now limits my overall visits(the closest one to me is in Memphis). I recommend it if you are in the area and looking for a nice restaurant.

I go to the Caribbean for one week every year… Dining at Bahama Breeze helps me through the other 51. Pros: Great atmosphere, live entertainment, value, service, jerk wings, fire cracker shrimp, lobster quesadilla. Cons: the patio bar has some drain issues which makes sitting there unbearable at times. This place is awesome! If your going to a Caribbean themed restaurant your going for frozen girly drinks, the ambiance, and the food. The drinks are awesome. They aren’t craft cocktails, but they are really tasty and don’t completely put you into diabetic shock. The bartenders are really nice too. Particularly Dean and the middle aged guy with the ponytail(he’s been there forever, you ‘ll know him.) Food– we always raid them at happy hour time. You get half priced apps and they are awesome. Big fan of the jerk chicken wings, fire cracker shrimp, and lobster quesadilla. Now, I’m really picky with seafood but must say this tastes much better than other chain seafood. The Caribbean food is definitely crafted for the American palate, so it really isn’t authentic but still delicious. Atmosphere– If your lucky enough to go on a day that Jonathan is playing definitely give him your attention. He’s a good musician and creates the ambiance your looking for. He’s not the best musician in the world or anything but seeing a guy with dreds play his pans definitely sets the mood. The patio room is awesome because the light shines in and it gives you the feeling of being outside. Beware that bar sometimes has a bit of a stench. The inside is darker, but the bar is bigger and also is decorated to be consistent with the theme. In closing, I absolutely love Bahama Breeze for their happy hour. While I’d still go here when it isn’t hh, I don’t think I’d hold it in as high of regards. This is one of my favorite chains and it is so much better than similar ones like margaritaville. Highly recommend you scope it out.
