Definitely NOT vegan friendly or even willing to entertain a suggestion of just make me something with no animal products and I will be entirely happy!!! Very disappointing and I won’t be back

This place is about as Italian as Sheldon Adelson. I understand Americans accept inauthentic but cleverly packaged theme parks, cruise ships and restaurants as a substitute for the real experience or any reasonable facsimile thereof. And Cantoro’s fits nicely into the«Italian Theme Park» category with its green, white and red flags and Italian stereotype offerings. However, I’ve lived in Italy and this place doesn’t adhere to anything remotely Italian. The prices for foodstuffs in the store are shocking and obscene. Vince and Joe’s has the same dry goods at significantly lower prices. In fact, so does Nino Salvaggio’s. I was disappointed. I came expecting a real Italian store and ended up with an Epcot Center version of Italian gastronomy. It’s a tourist trap for the most vulnerable of consumers: the naïve American public that implicitly trusts the sign on the door. Cantoro’s would get only one star were it not for the great little bar.

Awesome! Love the market. Bought beef meatballs at the deli counter and my family loved them. Ate lunch there with friends, and it was delicious. Can’t wait to go again. I had the pizza with sausage and mushrooms. It was amazing. Wonderful service, great food. Love it!

My review will add little to the well earned lore of Cantoro. Superb meats and specialty types, desserts, fresh and varied bread choices, sandwiches. One of the things I can add is to highly recommend the artichoke and spinach dip they make. I’ve had many artichoke and spinach dips but often skip them because they are not impressive. This is quite impressive and quite divine. Grab a loaf of bread and you are set. One of my favorite meats to get is the Citerrio brand chorizo. The pancetta and capricola are stand out too.

Love this place. Every single time I come here I try something new and it never disappoints. They have everything for special recipes and always have treats that everyone enjoys. Although they are a little pricy and I wouldn’t do my complete grocery shopping here, it’s a great place to get quality items. We have gotten their catering and the sub sandwiches are huge but again, so good.

Love love love this place. Every time I’ve gone it was loaded w. Ppl. Sandwiches are HUGE!!! Big enough for 2 – 3. My boyfriend & I shared the Italian and we still managed To have leftovers. Their pizza in 3 words: Ginorm, hot & delicious! I love their chocolate/sweets selection here as well. I’ll disappear from my boyfriend for a second or 2 and he’ll know where to find me. Like I said, I love this place. And after every visit I can’t stop thanking my boyfriend for bringing me here!

Love love love this place! We are newer to the area and this a great specialty market to stop in when you want a change from a regular/chain grocery store. Their prices are extremely reasonable and their prepared food is fantastic! As the name describes, it is an Italian Market and that’s what you’ll find. Any and all Italian foods. This is a must visit market in the area! PS. you MUST try the cannolis!

I don’t know if I should love them or be angry at them? All I do know is they own me… Their gelato is beyond words of description. I never knew how much I could be addicted to something, and food never really held my attention that well. There’s a flavor Zuppa Ingleses, I now know what it means English soup, which isn’t what it sounds like at all. Soup. zoup, meaning soak up in Italian which stood for a poor chef back in the day, who was held by the sword, to make an amazing dessert for royalty. So soaking up a cake like substance in a liquor saved his neck. All the while, at Cantori’s, they are making gelato that I cannot live without. Oh, their fruits and vegetables are pretty fresh too. I’ll try to sound balanced;)

What a wonderful experience. Everything from the server to the entrée was superb. I had the Mussels for an appetizer. It was large enough to be an entrée and the seasoning was spot on. My main course was the Chicken piccata. It was so delectible. Cannot wait to come back. The only negavitve??? The store was closed by the time we finished dinner. I guess I will ahve to come back. :)

I am addicted to this place! I took my mom there for lunch and then we walked around with our gelato from the gelato bar. You can’t beat the fresh sausage, pasta, and Italian bakery. It is very nicely laid out and easy to find things. If you are making an Italian dinner, don’t even think of going anywhere else to get your ingredients. Walking around with my mom and our gelato made me feel like I was back on the streets in Rome. All that was missing was the Spanish Steps!

HEYANTHONYDINNERTIME! I can hear my mother calling me. When you get pepperoni, bread, olives and sauce all at one place besides a pizza place, I have to stop and get something. With warm Italian bread and canolis in my cart as soon as I walked in I checked out the rest of the market. This is an Italians(or anyone) dream come true market. They have everything you could want for a meal, lunch, or a snack. I even picked up some pasta chips, Zip Sauce, and so much other food and stuff I could eat for weeks. I loved the olive bar. I now have a place to pick up some lupinis for our family get together. Since my original visit I have brought both of my daughters, brother, sister and almost everybody in the family. My favorite market! Almost reminds me of the markets in Rome, and Termoli Italy.

I looked everywhere for semolina flour and of course to no surprise I found it here. I come here to get fresh Ricotta Cheese when I make stuffed shells. It is far superior than any other I’ve had, I also pick up my Parmigianino here. The prices are good and the quality is on Point. My absolute favorite item here is the Tiramisu Dessert I have to stay away from it because I could eat a large tray in one sitting.

It’s like stepping into a market/deli in NYC. Their bread is fantastic and fresh twice daily. They will make you sandwiches to order. Only down side. it’s small, crowded, and I’m not a fan of the desserts. Well worth a stop for meat and bread!

Cantoro’s Italian Market definitely makes it easy to find the things you need. Are you looking for pasta? There is a whole entire aisle dedicated to pasta! Are you looking for wine? There is an entire aisle dedicated to wine! My first visit there I was astounded how many kinds of, well, everything. Definitely a place to go if you’re craving true Italian, well, anything!

My go to market! Love this place! I never make it out of here without spending at least $ 100.00! Great — * Cheeses * Italian Sausage(homemade!) * Canolli * Italian Bread * Homemade Pasta * Pizza that you can bake at home * Wine selection * Specialty Italian cookies(hint need large Stella Doro Anise Toasts the one in the big box) The only thing I can say they need to improve on is their produce. It is pretty so so and if they carried Guernsey products I’d be in heaven. Suggestion, do something with the top floor add more cooking items maybe even give demonstrations :) All in all I love ya all, keep up the good work!

Can only rate the market, as I haven’t yet eaten at the restaurant, although a friend of mine raved about it. I lamented the closing of my nearby Chimento’s market, and drove to the Cantoro’s location on Middlebelt primarily to buy a couple loaves of their delectable whole wheat bread, imported mortadella, and imported pasta. Just returned form my first visit to the Haggerty location and I was floored by the size and selection. It appears to carry far more Italian foods than Middlebelt, as well as a large Greek food selection. I’m off sweets, but the treats in the case looked too appetizing to pass up. Truly the best cannoli I’ve had in the U.S. Great atmosphere, and good, friendly service.

Love Cantoro’s for Italian meats, cheeses, breads, and other items they stock. I really wish they would get their other location open as the parking lot is pretty much a disaster to get into and out of on the best of days. during the Christmas rush it was impossible. We ended up parking on a side street just down Middlebelt. No big deal. This is a great place to get a discounted panetone after the holidays and make bread pudding with it. Delicious and cheaper!

I am an Italian-American through and through don’t let my Asian food addiction fool ya. I grew up in an Italian-American household with a pot of «gravy» on the stove most Sundays. I hit up Cantoro about every other month. Sure I’d like to go more but I’m not going for the Tony Soprano physique. There is really NOTHING bad here but I’ll walk you through some of my must-haves. FIrst of all they make my favorite tiramisu and I am also addicted to their almond flour cookies. I usually pick up a few of the whole wheat rolls too. They bake ALL of their own bread and sweets. Oh yea and the Sicilian cannoli don’t suck, they’re filled with ricotta cheese. Moving on to the deli counter I don’t eat pork but my bf and son won’t buy Italian deli meats anywhere else. I do love their house made ricotta and roasted artichokes. I always stock up on capers in balsamic vinegar, faro and Romano cheese. All of the house made pastas are amazing some of my fav’s are the smoked salmon ravioli and the wild mushroom. If I could light a candle and say a rosary at their olive bar I would. I always end up spending more than 20 bucks on olives but at 7.99 a lb. that’s enough to keep me in briny, olive heaven until my next trip. In fact, running out of olives and capers always sends me running to Cantoro. For me a trip to Catoro is like a trip back in time to my grandmother’s kitchen with the sounds and smells. I love it when the place is packed with people because everyone is happy to be procuring the food of the Gods.

We were in town for the Christmas holidays and we heard about how great the bread and deli was at Cantoro’s from out hotel concierge. I must say that this place lived up to the hype. We went on Christmas Eve and their italian breads were flying off the shelf. We picked up some dinner rolls and submarine sandwich bread. Both were really moist and tasty. We picked up some of their deli meat including mortadella, prosciutto, and salami. The meats were amazing. Just be sure to get the imported italian meats. You can also pick up some lasagna, meatballs, and squid salad. Their pasta aisle is very extensive. They also have frozen raviolis. I am glad that our hotel concierge steered us toward this amazing market. The parking lot can get tight. Be patient. It is well worth the wait.
