Julius Barber Shop

Very limited hours, they must be semi-​retired. I came at 5 on a Friday, when supposedly they close at 6. Sign on door says only open Saturday, 10 – 3.

Comfortable environment– but that’s where it ends.
–Does not feel «professional» at all (I’m wondering if all are licensed).
— Screwed up my hair– left it lopsided. Didn’t even bother going back to say something. That’s not something that should EVER happen.
Won’t be back!

I hadn’t had a professional haircut in over 6 years; I usually just got the clippers out and trimmed it myself. Today, I thought I would forego shaving my head for once and decided to go get a haircut. I hopped on Unilocal looking for a nearby barbershop. Julius seemed to have good reviews, so I went over there.
It definitely has a nice neighborhood barbershop vibe. All of the barbers were very friendly. Barber Al greeted me as I walked in and took a seat. He helped make the very nerve-​wracking experience of getting your first pro haircut in 6 years very enjoyable. I will definitely be back. Great job, guys!

Been using this barber shop for over 20 years since I was a toddler. This is a great neighborhood barbershop, that gives great haircuts.
The main reason I keep coming back is all the barbers are very friendly. Barber Al creates a great environment and wants to get to know all of the customers. This barbershop is VERY family friendly. This is obvious when you walk in, and see the entire wall containing photos of all the children who get their hair cut, as well as all the servicemen/​women who get their hair cut. Its not uncommon to see an entire family waiting to get their hair cut.
By no means is this place a «childrens» hair salon, they just do a great job making an environment where people are very comfortable bringing their kids to get a haircut with them.
The place accepts walk in appointments, and I think most of the people getting their hair cut are walk ins. I’ve never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a haircut, since they always have lots of barbers working.
I’ve used most of the barbers who work there, and I’ve never been unhappy with a haircut, even though I do a poor job explaining what I want.

It’s a very friendly 4 chair shop that caters to the neighborhood.
Everyone is very nice, charitable and willing to go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
