Once again the new terrible manager let’s the line back up to 20 people without calling anybody up to the register or opening another one. god forbid people get out in a timely manner ever.

i’m not sure what’s happened to the store in the past 3 – 4 months BUT I LOVEIT! For some reason i’ve had an easier time finding appliances(except TVs), clothes and house stuff. The people are all pleasant and the one time I had to speak with the manager about an item, she was pleasant and made me feel like i was the only one in the store. One of the better SAs(especially avoid Royal Oaks + Lincoln Park’s…idk not the best experience) in this area.

Found a dollar in the parking lot… It was very clean and well maintained. The store was also nice, including the weird Jesus rap music. «You down with G-O-D?!»

I love a bargain — especially when their sales are 50% off. I only shop for house decoration which if you search hard enough, then you will find that diamond. I’ve purchase so many things and spent so much time going around and around through the store; only because of the fact people hold items and then change their mind, that when I scoop in. Lol! WATCHOUT — Just because they might like old and like sweet/kind; doesn’t mean they won’t steal from your basket. Some items can be a little high but if you go to the manager, then he pull him to side — he’ll work with u; their motivation is to get the items are the store but of course not for free. So don’t try getting a $ 20 item marked down to $ 2 because you will get upset; now if you try for $ 10 or $ 15 then u might have a sale. GOODLUCKSHOPPING!

Thrift shopping is all about chance. You can find the best item in the world, but if it’s not quite the right size, and can’t be easily altered, you don’t want to throw even $ 6 away for something that might just sit around in your«to fix» pile. Shoes are the hardest — I have pretty average sized feet, but most shoes that are actually vintage make me think that women a few generations ago just had plain smaller feet. Everything I found on my stop here today was almost-it. Shoes were a little too small and dresses a little different cut. But was that the thrift store’s fault? No way. There are try-on rooms as well — always a thrift-store plus… and hey, if I’d been in a Value World or something, I may have bought these items not knowing if they’d fit. For those on the hunt, I found some great 70s dresses, quality vintage and resale shoes, and a pretty solid pair of brown Brazilian leather boots. There was also quite an amazing velour(think 70s, not Juicy) sweatsuit/zip-up set. However, nothing was quite the right fit, and the prices are a bit on the higher side. I may not have lucked out there this particular time, but I’d certainly return to see if I could find things that were better size-wise in the future. If I had more time for a real hunt, I think it would be worth scouring again!
