Chaparral Lone Star Inn

Do yourself a favor and SKIP this place. It’s vile. There is ONE review from 2013.hello. that explains it. We stayed here while traveling through texas, got here at 10pm… the place looks cute from the outside until you walk into this funky smelling, old ass room. I AM not one to leave 1 star. but this is unacceptable. I did not pull back the bed sheets because I’m scared to see them based on the cleanliness of the toilet seat when I arrived… the counter tops were covered in something gross, the toilet seat has brown stains on it… the towels looked like they have been sitting there for months without being touched. I understand this is a small town and these rooms are cheap… well on the cheaper side but jeez keep them nice and change the towels once in awhile. Gross! OH and fix the ice machine too! OHH yeah, forgot to mention, maybe next time you should clean the PUBES off the bathroom walls. This room is not worth 60.00, it’s worth 30 a night.

The only reason I didn’t give this an excellent rating is because, to be honest, it’s not an «excellent» kind of place. But if you want clean and comfortable, this is definitely a great choice!
We went to a wedding in Bandera and could not find a place there that we would want to stay (yikes!). We headed north and stopped in Llano. My husband stumbled on this place, and although it is older, I was up for the challenge. It wasn’t necessary. This place is a great price and well maintained.
Our room was quite comfortable: pillowtop bed, extra blanket in the chest of drawers, refrigerator, hair dryer, great hot shower. There were lots of families there, and a number of them were enjoying the pool with its soothing waterfall. I enjoyed a glass of wine poolside while my husband chatted with a young man who landed there after installing cell towers. All in all a comfortable, relaxed setting.
If you are looking for a bargain you can’t get better than this!
