A great dive bar with the BEST burgers in town. My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the excellent service and a burger to die for! We will be back!

My friends and I stopped here for a beer after eating at Black’s and at Smitty’s. They don’t serve real liquor but the twine(tequila wine) is to die for. Awesome service and a dive bar all dive bars should take notes from.

We were spending a Saturday night in Lockhart and looking for a place to go. Lily’s Bar has a nice location in an old building close to the square. The front door was so low key that I wasn’t even sure if I had found the door, but once inside I loved the kitschy décor and comfortable atmosphere Drinks were cheap and the service was friendly. What more could I ask for.

a dive bar in Lockhart, TX. Bring Lilly a small elephant when you come to visit and be prepared to drink cheap Lone Star, eat frito pies and listen to old country music or Tejano hits from the jukebox. I love this place.

A dive bar’s dive bar. This is perhaps my favorite dive bar of all-time. Make sure you talk to Lilly a bit as she is a national treasure.

Great dive bar. Went in on a Sunday afternoon as a pit stop during our ride and couldnt help but fall in love with the place. We were treated like locals and were served by Lilly herself… whos been running the joint for 30 years! The elephant collection is unbelievable. Definitely will make a point to go back again and again.

This place is awesome. We went in on a Sunday afternoon because we’re sinners, and were delighted to find that we are not alone in our depravity. The place was full of people chatting, playing dominoes and shooting pool. It’s dark, loud and if you sit next to the juke box the whole bar will hear your conversation because you have to yell over the Tejano music. But it’s worth the experience. People treated us like we were locals. The bartenders are super attentive(I could never finish a beer before being offered another), and it’s just a great place to relax and take in the atmosphere. Plus you can’t beat $ 2 beers.

Best little dive bar ever. I HATE smoke, so remember that it’s allowed in those parts. So if you can tolerate the cigarette smell, which I easily did after a few ICE cold beers, stop by! We went BEFORE eating BBQ and got a great little buzz, BBQ is a walk away in either direction. I would recommend it and again, don’t let the smoke smell detour you. I DIDNOT smell like smoke when I left. Again, I HATE cigarette smoke, but easily tolerated it, so give it a chance if you don’t like smoke. Lilly was great, we did not eat a burger, but saw a few people ordering them.

This is a very cool and interesting dive bar. Tejano playing on the jukebox and very cold beer served by Lilly. Interesting patrons make this a fun place to people watch and relax. There were all kinds of elephant decorations and cool signs and posters covering the walls. No air conditioning on the day we went in so it was pretty warm inside. The burgers are suppose to be good, but we’d already eaten at Smitty’s Market. I’d go back if I happened to be in Lockhart, but wouldn’t make a special trip.

The best kept secret for lunch! Yes, it may be a «dive» but it brings you back to a simpiler time. The service is great as are the burgers and BLTs! Always there is Lilly herself a collector of elephants which are proudly displyed everywhere. You never know who you will meet during lunch as the court house is around the corner! Lilly’s is an experience you should have at least once. Chances are you will be back as it is truly a unique enviroment that is delightful and a yummy lunch! A fun place for lunch with the girls or guys! Coldest beer in town as well as soft drinks and tea.

Need a self-esteem boost? Head to this little hole in the wall where the windows are covered, the beer is cold, the christmas lights are flattering, and the clientele is… well…less than desirable. AND it’s good for the whole family. Our nuclear foursome stumbled in around 2ish after a hearty meat-tastic meal at Kruetz’s. What better way to end a jalapeño cheddar sausage binge than a Schlitz nightcap? Or daycap? Yes, they have Schlitz in a can. Other highlights: glum bartender, aluminum foil-covered walls, Tejano music, and the most amazing collection of elephant figurines. Seriously, I need to know the story behind this one. The elephants tschotkes are out of control. Ladies’ hour on Wednesday: $ 2 domestics. Probably not a good idea to go alone. See you there!
