Lockhart Fine Foods

The Oatomic bars they make are fantastic — all natural, pretty healthy, and quite delicious. They were available unbaked in midwest Costco stores for a phenomenal price (13c), now only available directly through them, prebaked and at 6x the price (78c). I still think they are worth it and order these from their website. Sloooow shipping, which gives me great concern because their directions say to refrigerate/​freeze them upon delivery due to shelf life! Despite all that, I love these bars.
However, don’t trust any other products! The company pledge directly on their web page includes a promise to use only high quality, natural ingredients without additives, which doesn’t hold up at all if you look at their cookie dough ingredients printed on their website (now removed after I contacted them to inquire!) – so shady! Most all include artificial flavors and preservatives, sadly. Be warned as even though they have not changed their promise on wholesomeness, the ingredient lists are now hidden from public access!
What is worse, is their response (or lack thereof) and extremely terrible customer service when trying to receive some sort of communication! When I inquired about this concern of contradiction, and asked about how to get the lone 3 varieties that were all natural, interactions with them were poor to downright horrible. I used three methods of contact: email, their online information submission form, and lastly a comment and review on their facebook page, it went unanswered & then deleted & then blocked! So sad that hey are editing/​censoring reasonable and polite questions, and hiding truths and accountability for their foods. That is highly unsatisfactory and seriously questionable integrity!
Because health food is becoming more readily available, it will be easy to find alternatives to the wonderful Oatomic bars that I had previously recommended to everybody. Due to the poor handling of my questions and concerns, the false product claims, as well as their garbage, unhealthy ingredients, I’d recommend now staying away from Lockhart Foods entirely.
