Fieldstone Country Inn

We recently moved here and this place isn’t far from our house — we’ve been a few times (for dinner and lunch) and the food is excellent. The open faced/​hot turkey sandwich was wonderful and their filet is excellent as well. Soup/​salad bar is always good, service has always been great.

We went there for the lunch after a funeral. The staff seemed pretty nice (except for one waitress which I didn’t see but still handled my family) there were limited choices so I got stuck between the open steak sandwich and the Reuben. The decision was made to get the open faced sandwich and then my brother and I would split a Reuben. We started with the salad bar which was pretty good, the homemade croutons were absolutely amazing! The steak sandwich was really good, a bit small but there was a lot of flavor and it was nice and tender. My brother ordered his specifically without mushrooms, when handing out the dishes he reached for one and she mentioned he’s the one that didn’t want mushrooms. She comes back with one without mushrooms but it was obvious that she didn’t look at it and just took the word of the cooks because it was practically a mushroom patch. She took it back to get him a new one, in the meantime we had a Reuben to eat. I was disappointed because it was too sweet which shouldn’t even be an option for a Reuben, I couldn’t finish it. Another person with us found a fly in their glass after finishing their drink. Only reason I’m giving them the 3 stars because the food was good and having over 40 people at once would be overwhelming for any person.

Me and my fishing crew ate here again on the evening of 3÷28÷15. Fishing was not great that weekend but at least we all caught some. We came at a little after 9 and there were 3 other tables with patrons at them. One of my buddies and I both ordered the prime rib again and it came out perfectly rare, even after 9 pm! The other three guys enjoyed their dinners as well with the one criticism being that the filling for the stuffed shrimp was mostly filler. He had order envy after seeing our prime rib. The soup and salad bar was very good again with the exception of the cheeseburger soup. It was salty and tasted very much like the SOS I used to get in the Army chow hall. I do not remember the name of our server but she was great! The food came out quickly and drinks were refilled without even asking. Looking forward to our fishing trip again next year, partly because of our dinner at Fieldstone, ok mostly because of the dinner at Fieldstone.

This was my absolute favorite place for prime rib. We’ve gone here the past two times at 6−7pm and have not had what I wanted. One time I called ahead to make sure, the girl on the phone said yes they had it, we arrive there, put our orders in and 20 minutes later my server says they’re out. We should have walked out. She was messing up our orders. Brought me the wrong dessert. Sadly, we’re not going to go there again. The food is bland anymore anyway.

Disappointing

I really liked this place. They have a great Fisherman’s platter with fish that you can get baked or fried and the Beef Stroganov is the best I’ve ever had. I also enjoy their bread pudding for dessert. To agree with another review, the atmosphere inside is full of country charm.

Food was wonderful, love the prime rib and seafood selections… service was just as good and I LOVE the atmosphere… GREAT PLACE

Went here a few years back and it was pretty good… went here a few weeks ago and it was a total dive. Food was unremarkable and the service sucked. I doubt I will be back.
