K-9 Guardians Boarding & Training Center

I have taken several dogs here for training and would do so if I ever had a dog I needed extra help with. They taught me a lot about training basics and I have used that knowledge with my current dog. They are firm and consistent with the dogs which is not everyone’s style but I have seen excellent results so I’m a believer. They do truly care about dogs and teach that training is very important for a dogs safety and well-​being.

I left my Shepherd there for a couple days and when I picked her up she was dirty & shaking — she was scared. Ever since, my dog has been afraid of men. The staff at this place were men. I have no other explanation but this for my baby-​they did something to her. No stars for this place.

NEVER AGAIN!!! Requested 4 nights boarding, 3 days training while out of town. Dropped dog off after work. Came home a day early because we missed the dog & picked him up.
The bag of food we left came back w/​very little, if any, removed. He was not trained while we were gone, which was the only reason we went here.
We were told they would bring the dog to the car — that was a first for me. They loaded him right in the car and the first thing I noticed was the lower half of his «like new» chain collar was rusty/​dirty. On the way home, we immediately noticed the dog smelled of urine, made my husbands arms and legs break out and the dog has a half dollar sized sore on his testicles!
It rained while we were gone. Our always clean, inside dog was obviously kept outside, in the rain, in his own «mess»!! THANK GOD it was only in the upper 70s while we were gone and we came home early!

Took my dog here and left him for boot camp after being convinced they could help with my issue. Toward the end of the week I got a call from the trainer saying my dog had bared his teeth at them and he had to keep the dog. I was in complete shock and said they absolutely could keep him because I couldnt have that.
When I brought him home the dog had bigger issues than before I had left him with them. I called the trainer repeatedly and he just kept telling me it was me. I asked him to take the dog back for a week and at the VERY least make him the way he was when I dropped him off and they refused. I spent $ 800 to have them teach my dog to jump up on people, jump up on the counter and he came back with all of his ribs showing. He was also terrible in his crate after coming home. He whined and barked. He had never done any of this before he went there.
I had to spend a ton of time undoing the bad habits he came home with. I have since found a trainer to work with and the dog is incredible. He even started in bite/​personal rotection training about 8 months ago and even with the bad guy coming at him, I have still to this day never seen him bare his teeth at anyone so I suspect that was just a lie to get another week out of me.
Stay away.
