Never knew about this place but git introduced a few years back when I met my wife, she grew up on this and got me hooked, now our kids only asked for the«sweet pizza» lol, its like no other sauce or slice I’ve ever tasted but it’s worth the drive for us…

ugh what an awful pizza(if you can call it that) … where to begin I guess being from New England and my wife being from Manhattan we have a very high standard as to what a pizza is … this isn’t even close … since moving here we have been trying to find an even halfway decent pie this was the worst by far … the pizza(lets be honest it’s an insult to real pizza to call this hot garbage pizza so I will refrain from using the p word for the rest of my review) was an amorphous blob of what tasted like play doh with sauce that tasted like ketchup spiked with about a cup of sugar… the chicken fingers and fries were flavorless and the mozzarella sticks had the consistency of an old tire… do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this cheese on bread as you can … and no we will not be back as the alley cats we give left overs too turned their noses up at this rubbish

Horrible service… probably the worst pizza I have ever had… even the wings were bad

Pizza Oven pizza kind of reminds me of Bocce pizza. Love the sweet sauce. It is on a side street and kind of looks like a dive, but don’t let that scare you. One of these days I’m going to try the Stromboli. Seems like when I’m picking up my pizza, they are taking a Stromboli out of the oven… and it looks so good. This is my favorite pizza in Lockport.

This was a first and a last time we will go to Pizza Oven. Buffalo pizza is the best in the United States hands down! This was recommended to me by my BIL who used to live in Lockport. We recently ordered Franco’s pizza for our daughter’s birthday party at Monster Golf. He stated that we were missing the boat by not trying this place instead. And so it goes kinda like this… The crust was flimsy and doughy, edges burnt(not good burnt like a Bocce club pizza). The sauce was overwhelmingly sweet. Remember the taste of corn syrup? Now add that to your favorite red sauce + thin it out more. That’s what you get! Cheap cheese and sparingly so applied. The best part were the burnt pepperoni. We make our own dough and our own sauce. I grew up in an Italian & Polish household where there was love and care put into anything we cooked or baked. This was thrown together by someone who needed to get that next order out and done so they could get a smoke break perhaps? If you’re going to try this place out, I recommend just buying a slice first. 3⁄3 in our house gave it thumbs down. Sorry Pizza Oven. If you make a different sauce, you should offer it up front so customers are aware. And throw some TLC into your end product.

Wow, this pizza is out of this world. This pizza is unlike any other pizza you’ll find in Western New York. This pizza consists of some sugary sweet delicious sauce and this pizza is a great incentive for foodies like myself. I’ve been slacking on my Unilocal reviews lately… busy with school… but that’s no excuse. You know what is a great excuse for driving 30+ minutes out to Lockport to visit my brother? Pizza Oven. There have been many times in which Pizza Oven was the deciding factor to get out to the good ol’ LP. Pizza Oven could probably be considered a hole in the wall pizza place but I don’t mind. The pizza they bake up is heavenly. The sauce has a sweet taste and while not everyone enjoys this, I LOVE it! We usually go with the sheet pizza because a) we always seem to have a coupon and b) who doesn’t love leftover Pizza Oven pizza for lunch? I do :) Pizza Oven also offers chicken wings, fingers, mozzarella sticks, all of the typical pizza place options. I usually stick with the pizza although I’ve had the wings on occasion. For a unique slice of ‘za, head on over to Pizza Oven in Lockport. I love grabbing a pizza to watch the Sabres and/or Bills. Other times I’ll grab a pizza and have a picnic. Either way, make sure you taste some of the sweet sauce that will have you lingering for more.

The location and atmosphere are iffy at best. That being said, the pizza is amazing. Its always my favorite in the area. The sauce is perfectly sweet and the crust is wonderfully unique. Don’t go if you want to be healthy. If you want great pizza, however, this is the place.

Pizza Oven has the BEST sweet sauce I have ever eaten. When family comes in from out of town, we HAVE to order from there. Family even orders half-baked to take back home with them.

Maybe the second time is a charm. Just this week we gave Pizza Oven a try, and it tasted pretty good. The first time we had it, back in January, the sauce was just too sweet and seemed a mismatch with the cheese and the rest of what constitutes pizza. This time the sweetness and understated. It was still there but didn’t bully its way to the top of your taste buds. So we are sold on this pizza and will no doubt try it again. All the positives of the original review still apply, so I can endorse getting this pizza. And if you have a Lockport address(and maybe otherwise if you get the flyer), the Lockport Savings Magazine always seems to have coupons, including quite a few $ 1 off any large pizza. That drops the price to $ 11.25 for a plain cheese pizza, with toppings costing $ 1.85.

Used to be one of my faves. I think the new owner has changed the sweet sauce recipe. Only average now.

I LOVE this place! It is always on my «must have» list when we visit my Hubs’ family. The sweet sauce is phenomenal and typically I’m a thin crust eater but I love this crust. It’s a must try if you’re ever in the Lockport area!!!

If you’re a fan of sweet sauce you are a fan of pizza oven. The price is lower than a lot of places around Lockport. And the pizza is definitely different than what most people who are not from Lockport are used to. Can’t go wrong with a tray pizza all to your self

I’m not a sweet sauce fan, but a friend turned me on to this place. Wouldn’t get their pizza every time, but once every 6 months or so, the thin crust(makes me think of eastern New York thin crust I grew up eating) is really good. The sweet sauce is unique, the toppings are excellent(I hate sausage pellets and much prefer sliced or ground sausage). If you’re in Lockport, you owe it to yourself to give this a try. Nestled right into a neighborhood of houses.

Don’t try printing off any coupons from the internet they won’t take them. I printed some off and they turned them down then I found out the same thing happened to my mother in law a month ago. Personally, I think it is bad customer relations and just makes the customer mad for a few bucks. I’ll start off with the good, they have great wings. We got them extra crispy and plain so we could dip them ourselves in the sauce. Some of the best wings I’ve had in awhile. Now the bad, there pizza just isn’t good. The sauce is super sweet which I personally hate, but I know some people love. Our pizza was also over cooked. I liked the pepperoni’s. I won’t be back I’ll be checking out one of the other hundreds of other pizza places in Lockport that are nicer to their customers and don’t have sweet sauce.

Use to be the best pizza Have been in several times when they first open and they don’t even have slices out. Skp on toppings.

I grew up in Gasport and grew up eating this pizza. Their sweet sauce is unique and I’ve never found anything as good. It’s obvious before you go there that they have a sweet pizza sauce so if you don’t like that, don’t bring down their rating by giving them 1 or 2 stars. I live in Atlanta now and I crave this pizza! I’m going home next week and plan to figure out a way to bring some back with me because it is seriously the best pizza I’ve ever had!!! If you don’t like sweet sauce, GOSOMEWHEREELSE!!!

Very good greasy pizza. Originator of the sweet sauce concept that every other local pizzeria now copies. There’s really no other pizza around to compare to. Crust is spongy yet burnt on the outside, but in a delightful way. Crust is almost as flat as NY style but nothing like it at all. I love the fresh pepperoni here so definitely go with a standard cheese and pep pizza. This is not a place to get a specialty pizza so if you’re looking for that go elsewhere. Slices are cut into strips which is different. Subtract one star for mediocre wings(soggy and small). If in Lockport give Pizza Oven a try. Definitely in my top 3 in Western New York.

Im obsessed with the cheese pizza. First of all Im an Italain who really doesnt like sauce and usually order white pizzas. My husband turned me onto this pizza and now I crave it. I love the sweet sauce and the lack of crust. Its burnt edges are the best ! Hmmm now I want to go and get one. I wish they opened before 4 pm.

The best pizza in Lockport, maybe in all of Western New York. I ordered three large pizzas for a party on Saturday night — cheese, pepperoni and pineapple. Three large pies for $ 39 seemed a bit on the steep side, but I had a buzz so I didn’t care too much. The pizza was gone in about 20 minutes. Everyone loved it.
