Stopped in here yesterday for the 1st time. Having driven past several times, my initial assumption/impression was just another hotdog joint. My assumption was way off. The place looks a bit dated from the outside but was nice, exceptionally clean on the inside. Their menu contains a plethora of choices, sure to satisfy even the fussiest of eaters. While I waited for my food, the items that were handed out looked pretty darn good. Food arrived fresh/hot with good flavor & served with a friendly smile. The young ladies behind the counter were on the ball & very friendly/efficient. The chili cheese fries looked amazing, and are/were according to the fellow(I had to ask) that ordered them. Appears to be a family run small business that works hard, serving up quality food. I pass by many choices for food options during my day. I try my best to frequent the American small business owners whenever possible. These folks put their heart/soul into their business & it really shows here at Sizzles. These American small business owners that are earning it, should receive our support & our business. These folks work hard providing superior quality/service. By patronizing their establishments, we are also keeping the money in our neighborhoods. I choose to support places like Sizzles & other local American small business owners. I’ll be back real soon.

My friend was telling me about this place for the longest time. Finally on a lunch break, I went with my BFF and we both fell in love with the lady working the counter. She was so nice and helpful when we couldn’t decide on what we wanted. She seemed super down to earth and was just so sweet that we had girl crushes right away. We ordered the bacon chicken ranch wrap thingy and split it with garlic fries. It. Was. Amazing. After seeing another customer leave with a milkshake we decided we needed one too. My friend got a malt and I got the best milkshake I’ve ever had in my life. Seriously I have been day dreaming about that shake ever since. I can’t wait to go back and try some more stuff!

I have only been here once and only tried the soup, so this review is solely about the soup. I love me a good soup and am always in search of it. I have found my new favorite soup right in Lockport, IL! I tried the creamy chicken with rice and it was so yummy! They also had a mushroom soup at the time that I bet was equally fantastic. I have seen several Facebook posts about the ice cream desserts and am looking forward to going back and trying those, too!

I am glad that there is finally something worth while in this location. This spot has been a revolving door of meh for so long. Now we have Sizzles and i couldn’t be happier. They have a great hamburger and the sides I tried were on point as well. I have tried a couple different burgers and just loved them all. I also tried the onion straw thingy with jalapenos and that I could eat all day. I’d end up with the worst heart burn ever but it would be worth it. Now that I’m seeing other people’s pictures of food I think my next visit will be wrought with«um…ah…no you go ahead of me» because I won’t be able to decide on what I want. Do yourself a favor and get some Sizzles in your belly. Like now.

I had no idea what to expect when I came in but man am I happy I did. Packed with all the charm that you expect from a local small restaurant. The staff was beyond pleasant, excelent service, hilarious conversation, and very helpful with helping me decide what I wanted. The food was delicious, the burger that I had was cooked perfectly and was much better then you can get anywhere else in lockport. It really shows how much they care about the customers and their food. I also witnessed an attempt at the Chewie Challenge and the staff was having so much fun cheering for him, really made for a great lunch. Thanks alot for everything I will be back and I will try my hand at the Chewie!

I don’t even know where to begin about Sizzles. You can call, or text your order before going in, which is super convenient. You are always greeted with smiling, happy faces.(which I know firsthand is hard to do always when dealing with the public) The wide selection of food is amazing. All fresh, made to order and delicious. The owner is a doll and is always adding new things to spice up the menu. She has done a ton for the community and is always willing to help with the next project to help out her friends in the neighborhood. In closing, I must add that they have the absolute best homemade ice cream. The only thing I dislike is that they aren’t open 24/7, but I supposed people do have to sleep… lol. I would give 10 stars if allowed. Love, love, love this place.

Had this place bookmarked for a little while. Had the breakfast burger and fried pickles. Burger: was ok. Would eat it again, but not to go out of my way for. Fried pickles: I would have preferred more crispy. Good flavor but kind of flimsy. Read some great reviews in their shakes but noticed they had the soft-serve machine. So shakes are not real ice cream. Awesome shakes, I’m sure. But I only like real ice cream shakes, so did not order. Service: Awesome, very friendly. Cashier asked how everything was mid-meal.

A local gem of Lockport. All the locals talk about this place, as though its their little secret delight. Food always fresh and never frozen. Delicious gourmet burgers and the Friday Lent Cod fish sandwich is a must! Wish they sold the fish sandwich all year long. Very family friendly place for food that everyone will enjoy.

The food here is always great! I usually get a veggie wrap which is not on the menu but they are happy to make one anyway, and it comes out super fresh and delicious! Very friendly and helpful staff too.

I just going to Sizzles! They have gluten-free options on most of the food. My husband and I always get great, fast service. My favorite item is the bacon sundaes, perfect combination of ingredients for any craving.

I live in Lockport and found out about Sizzles right through Unilocal. My husband and I decided to try it out for the first time yesterday. I had a burger and cream of chicken soup and my husband ordered a steak sandwich and cheese fries. My husband went by himself to pick it up, so I personally didn’t see the place. He said it was small and there are only a couple small tables to dine in at. I opened the container that my burger was in, and was impressed with what I saw. They had a toasted bun, and then under the toasted bun was the burger sitting on top of a piece of regular white bread. They do this so the burger doesn’t get soggy and the bun is still toasted! I’ve never seen this before. The burger wad good and so was my soup. My husband was extremely impressed with his steak sandwich, which came on garlic bread. He said it was probably the best he ever had and beats out Pops and Mickey’s(our normal go to places). The cheese fries were also delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try out other items.

I love the convenience of texting in my order and picking up 15 minutes later. I’ve had the Hawaiian chicken wrap and burgers. Both are amazing! The owner is very personable as well. She has an upbeat great personality. We enjoy going in and chatting.

I’ve passed this restaurant a number of times while heading into town over the past several months. I saw a post on Facebook where customers had positive things to say about it. Happy to hear it, I chimed in on FB that I would make the stop that evening and check the place out. A person representing this establishment on FB even commented back to me on the FB thread about«seeing me later». I pulled up behind the building and walked towards the entrance. It is a very small place, I would consider the size fairly common for a hotdog/takeout place. They did have a small covered area where I saw two(maybe three) small tables set up for anyone wanting to eat indoors(it wasn’t a bad setup). There is a number of items on the menu, including a large choice of slushes/ice cream/shake options. All looked appealing on the menu. It was after 7pm and I opted for the Maxwell polish(usually my favorite when going to a «hotdog» establishment). The girl at the register was pleasant and took my order quickly. The polish and fry was only $ 3.98(really cheap in my opinion, Portillo’s charges me about $ 8). My order was ready quickly and I left with my carry out. Arriving at home minutes later, I opened the bag and started eating. Into the first bite of the polish, I noticed it had a «water-logged» taste to it.. I opened it up to find it dried out on the end and really water/steam shriveled, with a lukewarm temperature. It was not good. I took a picture of it and texted it to my husband telling him I would be eating leftovers from the night before because my pick up this evening was terrible. I threw the food away and didn’t fret it, as it only cost $ 4 and the drive wasn’t really out of my way. Definitely won’t order that again, but hadn’t completely written this place off(we’ve all had a terrible meal somewhere, where we know others have not had the same experience). Anyhow, minutes later the representative posted on the FB thread following up on my experience«I hope it was fantastic!». I responded on the same FB thread that the experience was pleasant but the food I received… was not good. I even went as far as commenting that maybe the salad or beef would’ve been a better option and shared with them the picture of what they sold me.(I certainly wasn’t offensive in my post, just gently honest). Sometime later that evening I got a FB notification from another employee(possibly the girl at the register), responding on the thread that my experience is «insane» and that their motto is to provide the best food(I wish I would’ve taken a picture if this poor response). Feeling as if this young lady was implying my post was untruthful, I responded to her remark advising her that«that is a great motto but most definately wasn’t utilized when they put my food in the bag». Being somewhat slided the next morning, I went back to my FB notifications to make a picture of the employee’s comment to amusingly share with my spouse, I see they deleted the post entirely. This was likely done to keep other customers from seeing it. I was never reached out to by management in hopes to rectify the experience. Unfortunately, I did give this place a try. I hadn’t written them off after the food I received was terrible(thinking maybe next time it will be better). After the«that’s insane» comment… eh, I won’t be back. I feel they really handled this situation poorly, even when the customer was overly understanding.

This place is a true gem and a great addition to the food faire of Lockport. There is nothing else like it in the area and few I have been to period in my travels. Fresh product, homemade sauces, inventive combinations, and a business model done right is what we have here. From their inception to execution care in the quality consistency is paramount. There are staple menu items but they are continually bringing new additions to our taste buds. From the quality of their beef, the tastiness of their blue cheese, there homemade jalapeño poppers, the toppings on there sundaes, … I could go on and but I think the point has been driven home. I write this after not just one visit but after several and me nor my wife and children have been disappointed. There are standard flavors of choices and the radical ones too, the donut burger is one of my son’s favorites. If you want to deviate from the the prescribed pairings they are happy to accommodate. Now they are priced fare with a quality that can not be matched. If you want a fast food burger here at a fast food price at a fast food pace do not come here, this is the only way you will be disappointed. The prices are fare, the quality unmatched, and it is worth the wait. Sizzles is by far the best burgers in the area.

Great burgers, cooked to perfection and so flavorful. The star is the cheese sauce for the cheese fries, home made and it tastes like it, perfect. Have had hot dogs, Italian Beef, and ice cream fries, and burgers all delicious. Come on and in and see. Limited inside but its cozy. Outside has picnic tables.

Finally got around to trying Sizzles, as Lockport residents I am ashamed it took us so long! My husband had an Italian beef and cheese fries and I had a creamy chicken and rice soup and a «cranky franky»(hot dog with fried onions, jalapenos, and cheese) We don’t have one bad thing to say! Great beef(which we are VERY picky about since my father is a Chicago butcher ;)) the soup was perfectly creamy, not too thick like some other places, and the fries were amazing. They have so many great and original items on the menu I can’t wait to try more :) *update after my 2nd visit* they need to sell that jalapeño ranch by the BOTTLE. SO. GOOD. Best fried pickles I’ve ever had.
