I had the 4 ounce filet mignon for lunch today. It was absolutely delicious. Cooking it yourself on the hot stone really gives the meat a distinctive flavor.

What a wonderful addition to Lockport!!! The staff is always so nice and the owner Johnny is always walking around making sure everyone is happy and taken care of! The sushi is so fresh and delicious! The seaweed salad is also one of my favorites!!! The house made noodles are the best I’ve ever had!!! One of our favorite places!!! You can go dressed up or dressed down and you will feel right at home either way!!! Ps go with a few people so you can get a few of the specialty rolls to try a little bit of everything!!! SOGOOD. We tried this place for the first time and we will definitely be going back. We had sushi and the filet which was great. Really want to try the pineapple fried rice next time!

So I started writing a review for this place like 8 months ago and I was torn on what I really wanted to say and just never finished it. oops First off. I am BIG on giving a restaurant at least 3 tries before you decide your final view on it. I tried this restaurant exactly 3 times and I was not in love. I went a couple times after and I am glad I did! I am now part of their rewards club hehehe The sushi is good(I personally like Samurai’s sushi more), but I do get it everytime so that says something. One of the reasons I didn’t review right away was because of the sushi. I did feel really weird and my stomach felt off 3 separate times I ate there(I do eat raw sushi and I did have cooked as well). Now when I go I mostly get food and one roll and my stomach is fine. The first time I went I did try the actual«stone» part. You cook your meat, whatever you get, on a super hot stone. It was fun and interesting. But If you are starving I suggest get an app or sushi or something because if is a little bit of a tease when your food comes out, but then you have to wait 10 more minutes while it cooks in front of you. I would probably try it again. Not my first choice though. The actual food is really good. I am INLOVE with their low mein noodles or stir fry noodles or whatever they are called. THEASIANNOODLESWITHTHECHICKENANDVEGGIES. you know what i mean. Its like 11 $ for an entrée size and everytime I go I split it with someone. We even split it 3 ways one time. I also tried the pad thai noodles or whatver and that was very good as well. The calamari is pretty good. Not the best calamari I’ve had, but also not the worse. The sauce it comes with makes up for its average-ness. The goyza or dumplings are good as well; ALWAYSGETPORK… unless you are allergic. then maybe stay away. The service is kinda slow, but not the slowest I’ve had. also.GETTHEBLOODYMARY! with extra lime of course. I am a big bloody mary person. I feel like other big bloody drinkers will agree with this, but not many places have good bloodys. I ALWAYS want one, no matter what time of the day it is. I always hesitate to order them anywhere because alot of places do give sh*tty ones. Not this place. One of the best ones I have had out. So If you like bloodys try one. And if its not good, do my 3 time rule ;) because it could be the bartender. But I’ve been twice and ordered them and they were just fabulous. 4 stars because it did take me awhile to really like this place and because the sushi isn’t the greatest.

This is a very cool concept for a restaurant. You cook your own meals on a 800 degree stone. I had the filet mignon Steak stone entrée. It was perfect. I was new to cooking on the stone which I’m sure pretty much everyone is, but if you can cook on a grill this is no problem. My only complaint is on a busy weekend it can get pretty smokey in there with everyone cooking. They might want to do something about the ventilation.

We tried this place out for the first time. Our table location right next to the bar wasn’t ideal. It was hard to talk to each other because it was so loud. The food was pretty good but nothing out of this world. The experience of using the stone was fun and something new. The waitress got my order wrong but was good about sending it back and getting me a new dish. We may be back again but it’s not a place we are dying to rerun to.

Been here twice to dine in, and have gotten takeout quite a few times… I absolutely love this place! Our female bartender last time(can’t remember her name sorry), was excellent and had awesome recommendations for food. I’ve always had an aversion to seafood, but I tried the Tiger roll as per her recommendation and loved it! I think I might try more seafood now!!!

My favorite restaurant in Lockport. The sushi and the steak were both great. I’m in love with the spider roll. The drinks at the bar were great. We’ve always had friendly wait staff. The only negative is that it’s a bit noisy.

Lovin’ spoonful(AKA Norb has opinions on everything, Restaurant Division:) Went to Steak Stone and Sushi with my daughter and grand daughters for mother’s day dinner(yeah I made out this week end). Started off with Spider roll Sushi which is a soft shell crab sushi. I then had the Miso soup. Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup consisting of a stock called«dashi» into which softened miso paste is mixed. I then had the house salad with the house dressing. I hate it when the lettuce is in so large a piece you need to cut it. They didn’t. All of the vegetables in the salad were bite sized. I had the Hibachi Shrimp(17.99). Which came with rice and vegetables. We all had different entrees. The sushi was spot on bur unfortunately they did not have the jell fish sashimi which we wanted to try. Drink refills were prompt and overall an enjoyable meal.

When we first arrived, we were presented with a menu that was confusing. I feel this restaurant is throwing everything at the wall e petting something to «stick.» So we decided to select a bit here and a bit there. The first thing to arrive were the shrimp shumai, GAGME!!! These were frozen, mass-produced paste-y shrimp«flavored»(well, not very to me) soggy messes. Yuck! Next, I got Tom Yum Seafood Soup.(Yes, start w Chinese, move to Thai, all at a Japanese restaurant). My soup arrived with dices carrots & peas floating in it. Digging deeper, there were carrot & celery shreds, more reminiscent of Chinese-lunch-special Szechuan stir fry. Upon tasting the broth, there was no lemongrass, kafir lime, or fish sauce flavor. Hell, it wasn’t even sour. So I asked for some lime to «fix» it up as best as I could. We then got our Black Pepper Tuna. Very tasty, but very little and paper-thin slices at that. At nearly $ 10, I expected more. We rounded out our order with a Deluxe Sushi platter. The seaweed on the tuna roll wasn’t as delicate and freshly flavored as I’d have liked. In fact, it was hard to chew. As for the chef’s choice of fish, the Red Snapper was delicious, as was the yellowtail, squid, and white tuna. The remaining chef’s choices were acceptable but not noteworthy(octopus, squid, fluke, salmon, tuna, scallop, clam etc). This is the only sushi place in or around Lockport. Personally, we’ll drive a bit further, into Buffalo, for sushi. In fact, Wegmans is better than at this place.

Absolutely delicious! My fiancé and I stopped in for lunch. We ordered the raw oyster appetizer special(a first for both of us). Incredibly fresh, served with tobasco, soy sauce. Very good. Our sushi included the Maki roll combo(California roll, Philly roll, Boston roll), and the special that day, the Viking roll. Honestly some of the best, if not the best sushi we’ve had. Service was great. We will definitely be going back.

We found out about this place because of The video makes the food look SO good and when I see the Promoting Buffalo posts come through on facebook it finally got to me and I needed to try it! This place is awesome, and the owner is amazing! He comped a delicious bottle of his favorite local wine for us after engaging in conversation just shortly after sitting down. I love chatting with the masterminds behind various businesses/restaurants in the area. This was such a unique dining experience! Although I stuck with chicken pad thai, my hubby and one of our friends got the steak on the stone and it was awesome! :) I love interactive dining lol the sushi was delicious and plated perfectly! The location is odd… in a strip mall… but once inside the atmosphere is pretty nice. I have friends who have also tried Steak Stone & Sushi on our recommendation and have loved it equally as much! We will definitely be back!

The food and atmosphere is awesome! The service at the bar, not so much. The last visit, we decided to skip the wait for a table and eat at the bar, and never once did the girl bartending acknowledge us. Another girl, who seemed to be a bar back, asked us if we needed something, and we said we would like drinks and menus. My boyfriend had his beer in about 5 minutes, while my martini was close to 15 minutes. With 8 people at the bar, I feel like that was an excessive amount of time to wait. The bartender seemed to be struggling and stressing out while making drinks for the tables and completely ignoring her customers at the bar. After 20 minutes, we moved ourself to a table. A simple«hi, I’ll be right with you» would have made all the difference, but we definitely left feeling ignored. On the other hand, our server was super friendly and apologized when our food took awhile. Food is fantastic! Hopefully Lockport supports the business!

The location for this place is a little weird(it’s located right by the Salvation Army and Save-A-Lot), so the first time I wasn’t so sure about this place. However, I was pleasantly surprised and have returned a total of three times. The sushi, sashimi, seafood, and steak are all good dishes here. For appetizers the edamame, jelly fish sashimi, and miso soup were pretty good. I’ve had the sushi entrée(about 8 pcs chef choice with california roll) and the sashimi & sushi combo. My date and friends have had the twin lobster tails, the steak(which you cook on your own sizzling hot stone on the table), the hibachi shrimp, and the seafood steak combo. The Japanese strawberry soda was also cute(you pop a little marble in the top to open it), but it was super sweet. For a sushi place the price cannot be beat. I was a little concerned about the quality, but it turned out to be great. The only downside to this place was that the staff wasn’t knowledgeable about the menu. Our wait person on two occasions didn’t know the difference between the rolls, and the wait person also didn’t know how to open the Japanese soda so the chef had to be asked. Since I’m familiar with sushi and sashimi this wasn’t an issue for me, but if you’re new to sushi it might be hard to order from the menu. So if you want a cozy and affordable sushi place for a night out with friends I’d recommend Steak Stone & Sushi on Transit. The wait for a table isn’t long, and the staff is friendly. The décor is also very nice(sleek and modern).

Tried several different types of sushi rolls. All of them were very well prepared. The dynamite roll and philly roll was my favorite of the bunch. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. They were very helpful in explaining all the types of fish. I will definitely be returning soon.

They are pretty stingy with portions. It seems like they cut corners, but the prices are just as high as other fancier sushi restaurants. It was so-so. Better than most Lockport restaurants I guess.

Bomb dot com! This place is in Lockport? It’s too nice for lp. Everything was amazing. Love the sushi! Not overly expensive! And the service is great. Our waitress was awesome, and funny! Will definitely be coming back here to try the lunch menu! And their steak! I had the Mexican roll and the rainbow roll. Each one was great! Check this place out you won’t be disappointed!
