Have eaten at Tom’s many times. Always good food and friendly service with very reasonable prices.

I asked if I could order from the kid’s menu(I have a medical issue and a card asking that I be allowed to order smaller portions) and they allowed me to do so but refused to serve me the drink that is supposed to be included with the kid’s meal. They said I had to pay extra for the drink that is supposed to be included! And she was rude about it when she refused it.

Lovin’ Spoonful(AKA Norb has opinions on everything Restaurant Division :) Tom’s Diner; I usually try to take my wife out to breakfast, lunch or dinner a few times on the weekend. Because we both work, the only time we can go to breakfast is Saturday or Sunday. This past Saturday we decided to go to Tom’s Diner, 11 Main Street, Lockport, NY14094. They are open Sunday — Saturday 7:00 — 3:00, however like every good Western New York eatery, they are also serve fish fries(frys?) plus other sea food based dinners on Fridays when they are open till 8:00PM. I don’t know if other parts of the country have fish fries but it always seems to be a contest in Western New York to have the best. Beer battered is my favorite. We have been there several times for a fish fry and always leave stuffed. Walk thru the door and you go back to the 50’s. The walls are decorated with hand drawn pictures and one wall has a hand painted mural of Main Street from that era. Whoever did the art work needs to be congratulated on this. It is fun looking at it and remembering the places that used to be in Lockport and the people from that era. One side of the dining area is filled with cozy booths and if you are lucky enough to get one, grab it. They also have a few tables and counter service. There is no hostess so it is self-seating. I had a breakfast sausage sandwich with a sausage patty on a Kaiser roll for $ 3.75 It was delicious I also had a Pepsi @ $ 2.35. This includes free refills. Donna had a poached egg on toast for $ 2.75, and a side of home fries at $ 2.25. The poached egg was cooked perfectly with the white fully cooked and a runny yolk. She hates a runny, snotty white so she was glad to see this. Just a word on their home fries. If you have breakfast and don’t get them you really miss the boat. They have spices and onion in them and are one of the best I have ever had. I didn’t want a full side of these as they are fairly generous so I took half of Donna’s. It’s worth the trip just to get these. Due to a groupon, we left the restaurant for under $ 10.00 but I would go there without a coupon. We have never had a bad meal there and I would recommend Tom’s to anyone. Parking is adequate. Handicapped accessibility is good. The place is always clean and neat and the staff courteous. I give them a 10 out of 10. It is worth the trip.

On my latest adventure, we stopped by this cutesy town diner on Main St in Lockport. It’s about ten minutes away from the Nature Trail that we explored, so it was a perfect stop on the way back home. They have a pretty decent sized parking lot next to the building(unless we weren’t supposed to park in there, but we did anyway with no trouble) and street parking so it’s pretty accessible. We walked in and found a booth directly to the right, which was definitely the best booth in the whole place. If you’re there, go to this booth. You can people watch outside but you can also have a great, unhindered conversation because you’re slightly secluded from the other tables/booths. It’s a win-win, really. Take the right booth. :) Our waitress was an angel. Can’t for the life of me remember her name, but she was great. I previously mentioned in one of my more recent reviews that if I was ever on the fence about a rating, the waitress/waiter/hostess/good staff would help bump up my rating. This was definitely the case! I think Tom’s Diner is mostly all of three stars, but I don’t think I saw one unhappy individual working there or serving us. In fact, I find that’s true in most small town diners; lovely people work there. I think the food is 3 stars. I like Lou’s in North Tonawanda a lot better, but this is just A okay. Average at best. My breakfast burrito was smothered in an excess amount of cheese and the home fries were crispy but didn’t taste too great. The ham in my burrito was good, and coffee was good too. She kept coming around to refill my glass, which I appreciate. I think the prices are greeeeeaaaatttt. Four or five dollars can cover a meal here. I think that’s the trade-off at a diner: okay-ish food for a cheap price. Hey, I’ll take it. It doesn’t take a lot to make me happy. Don’t expect anything too extravagant. Appreciate the homey feel, great prices, and decent people and you’ll find yourself satisfied with your experience at Tom’s.

The pancakes were really great. Eggs are the easiest food to cook well and the easiest to cook poorly. Really really bad scrabbled eggs and bacon. Eggs were browned and dry . Bacon was burnt and too a crisp. I requested a new piece and was presented with identical bad bacon

We walked right in and got seated, less then 5 minutes later after getting our menus our order was taken. The waitresses always made sure we had everything we needed like coffee. The big breakfast looked good but the fries aren’t fries, they’re potatoes well seasoned. The order of pancakes we got looked fine but were really crispy on the bottom and hard to cut. But they tasted fine. The 2−2−2 was good. The bacon in 2 of the 3 dishes was pretty good. The only complaint is not hash browns, never been to a diner that didn’t have them.

Just got breakfast and it was pretty darn near perfect. Good serving time and price. Got Tom’s big breakfast; 2 eggs, meat, toast and home fries. Will be back to try lunch. My wife also enjoyed her’s(same thing but she got scrambled whereas I got 2 over medium). Check it out!

My husband and I and our two little guys were in the area and decided to stop in here for a late lunch. We had a certificate and thought it was the perfect time to use it. Note that if you have one of these, present it when you order so that they have time to call it in and redeem it for you. The place itself is quaint and very homemade, which is appealing when it comes to diners. Hand-painted character murals on the walls and randomly placed knickknacks add to the charm. Our waitress was pretty attentive, and had that«sweetie» attitude that you come to expect at a diner. I felt like this is the kind of place you’d find a lot of «regulars.» The food came out quickly, which is great when you have antsy children. Our four year old son, who is relatively picky, downed his orange juice, french toast and bacon(and a few of Daddy’s french fries) with no problem. We were impressed! Our two year old son, who doesn’t eat much of anything, enjoyed a few fries as well. We ordered some onion rings, which came out crispy and flavorful. My husband had the stinger wrap and loved it. I had a chicken finger wrap and thought it was great as well. If I had made it, I probably would have added some mayo for a little squishiness to compliment the crunchy chicken fingers. Other than that, it was all fantastic. All-in-all, we had a good experience. I’m not sure when we’ll be back, since we live 30 minutes away, but now we know a great spot to come back to when we’re in the area again. Maybe breakfast next time?

Our entire family use to go here, until I returned home from a tour overseas and my first breakfast being home… There was a bandaid in my food. The manager/owner attempted to do what she could offering food and gift certificates however my family and I were completely disgusted and will never return even our extended family won’t be back. Hope this helps! Go to Rapids!

I love breakfast here! I go to Toms Diner specifically for their bacon and potato pancakes. The only cons are the hours of operation are confusing, and I’m always unsure of when their open.

My husband and I started coming here about a year ago and we usually come here for a nice diner type lunch. Quaint, affordable, tasty. We always leave happy and full. The stuffed French toast is really delicious. The servers have always been sweet. We will keep returning for our quiet and yummy lunches.

Cute location. Nice, but not overly impressed. Went for dinner, Server forgot napkins, had to ask, then forgot any flatware, had to ask another server. Fish fry was soggy. Pancakes were good. Fried chicken was ok, small. Baked potato was bad.

If you’re looking for a simple place for a simple breakfast, this is your place. If you’re looking for everything to be made from scratch, this is not your place. Omelette’s and basic breakfasts are average, pancakes are big and fluffy.

A nice little diner in the heart of downtown Lockport. They serve a very solid breakfast. Not anything stellar, but good. I really do not recommend this place for a dinner. Food is ok, but breakfast is clearly their specialty.

You can tell this is a place all the locals go to. Quaint greesy spoon in the city of lockport. Great diner food a little pricey but I didnt mind. I dont mind paying a little extra when I am treated nicely by the saff and have good food. I will be back definately however I wont be making a special trip to lockport just to go here.

I don’t understand the low reviews for this place. My girlfriend is from Lockport and we went the day after Christmas for breakfast. I built my own omlet and chose ham, cheddar cheese and red peppers. The omlet was very good and the home Fries were some of the best that I’ve had. Very crispy. Plus this place is a locally owned shop that had to expand because demand was so high. If you are looking for a good breakfast spot while in LP check Tom’s out. It was fast, cheap and delicious. Break the chain, shop local.
