Interesting set up of a place. Very clean, trippy hearing rap music in an Asian restaurant. Staff was nice. Had the chicken and noodles dish; was alright. It really was an okay place to me; would go back again.

I used to always get excited about eating at Sogo’s. Unfortunately I will probably not be returning because of the service. My boyfriend and I walked in about an hour before they closed. We were not greated by the girl at the front door(who didn’t even see us because she was on her phone with headphones in) nor our waitress. She rudely asked what we wanted to drink and walked away. Hibachi entrée is good and huge in portion but I’ve had better tasting sushi. Not horrible, but not worth the money… especially when I was treated poorly the whole meal.

Did you know that Sogo has ½ priced sushi on Thursday nights? I love it.

People beware of this place. I found a good sized piece of plastic in my cooked piece of chicken. Staff was nice about the situation and therefore I gave them another chance recently. Saw as we were leaving that the sanitation grade there is an 86! Eat at your own risk.

A new sushi place opened in Locust which is pretty good, so attempting to visit there only to find a notebook page saying they were opening late that day totally irritated me. My husband suggested Sogo, which we drove by a couple of times but it just looked so «costly» that we never stopped. However being in sushi mode we decided to go it. I’m now a dedicated customer! Our waitress(forgot her name, but she was way pregnant) was SO friendly and informative to the items on the menu. My old go to place is good, but my rolls always fall apart — not here though. Food was terrific, service was amazing, parking was directly out front, clean tables/floors/kitchen(yes, I look all over the kitchen from plumbing up). I will agree with a previous review that said cream cheese, etc on most of the sushi, however when ordering I «customized» my rolls without any problem. I’m eager to return and try other items — Love this place, sad I didn’t go in sooner.

Generic, boring hibachi. On the list of sushi rolls I was provided, almost of them had: cream cheese, spicy mayo, or tempura. Blech! I’m only giving three stars because the waitstaff was courteous and attentive. Parking is on the street, and is _limited_.

It’s decent Japanese chain food, and it’s better than the Sogo in Concord. One thing that suprised me is that Kids eat free Hibachi chicken on Tuesday. This makes a big difference for a larger family, and it’s got a decent atmosphere for this very purpose. It’s good quality and value.

My wife and I meet my son here from time-to-time. Not impressed. I consider the food average at best. The only reason we will go back is if we are asked to meet someone for a meal at this restaurant.

Sogo was a hidden gem on the trip through the south of the state. I was really hoping to find something that was not either Bojangles or Subway. And low an behold, in the new Locust Town Market off of 74, was this great little Japanese chain. It is definitely chain style Japanese, yet it is more than well done when it comes to taste and price. While there on business lunch, you cannot beat a full plate of hibachi for under $ 5. Matched with standard Miso, it was a wonderful slow-fast food lunch. And if you are in the area, make sure you hit them up for ½ price sushi on Thursday nights!
