I have heard many good things about this place so I wanted to give it a shot. First, the inside is very nice. The shop was neat, clean, and organized. Next, the customer service was very good. I was greeted immediately upon entering which is always nice. The workers seemed friendly, relaxed, and made a comforting atmosphere. Lastly, the most important part, is the food. I ordered the«Whaler…» Something because it had pastrami, turkey, Swiss cheese, and lettuce. I’m an absolute sucker for pastrami sandwiches so I had to go with that one. When I received my sandwich, it had 1 slice of pastrami, 1 slice of turkey, Swiss cheese and layers of lettuce. Idk if I ordered the wrong sandwich, came on an off day, or something else happened, but my sandwich was mediocre at best. I’ve seen pictures of the«pastrami ianni»(hope I spelled that right) and it looked amazing. However, the cleanliness of the shop and great customer service gave this place 2 out of 5 stars. I will return to try a new sandwich and my only hope is that this time meat will be the primary ingredient and not the lettuce.

The sandwiches are good when you can actually get what you want. They do get busy around lunch time and run out of good bread ie Dutch crunch and Genova rolls by 2. I will not return because the girl behind the counter got an attitude with me when I said you are always out of bread when I come in. Her reply was«well you always come in late» at that point I walked out without a sandwich. If you are not going to be prepared for customers to come in at 330 to eat then don’t stay open that long or at least have the bread you advertise available. Unfortunately the customer service will prevent me from returning here again. There are plenty of places to get a sandwich in Lodi without the attitude

The Mendocino mustard deserves 5 stars by itself! If you like hot mustard, definitely add it to your next sandwich(or buy a jar and take it home). The atmosphere is really nice here, very upbeat during lunchtime– this place can get pretty busy! Their menu is quite large, but that doesn’t effect me since I’ve eaten the same sandwich every single time for years– Dutch Crunch bread(amazing), pastrami, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle and extra Mendocino mustard(which they may have started charging $ 0.50 extra for that, didn’t make me too happy when spending almost $ 7 on a sandwich). Overall, for the price, it’s not an everyday place for me, but it is a big treat when I go because it’s delicious!

If you want a sandwich that actually has taste and uses fresh ingredients, Fiori’s is the place to go. All their sandwiches are hand-made using high quality ingredients that will be nothing short of a taste bonanza! All their sandwiches are quite large, and the quality is unsurpassed. They do get busy as they are exceptionally popular, so expect to stand in line for take-out, or have a seat and they will deliver to your table for you. Well worth a visit!

It’s been a while since I’ve seen said employee and from what I can tell, all is back to its normal higher standards! I haven’t been back at that same time frame but we do come here pretty frequently and I haven’t experienced that since my first review. Staff is always super friendly now that the rude, frantic girl is gone and the food is fantastic.

This place is in an older part of Lodi. We went with friends who had been there before. It is hard to see from street but, well worth your time and tummy to stop in. The staff was friendly and everything I saw come out of kitchen looked really good. I had a Sonoma BLT, hubby had pastrami. Both very good. There are lots of deli items to buy and make your own yummy creations. My only complaint is they were out of my fav dutch crunch bread. Dutch crunch must be quite popular cause this happens a lot at many sandwich places. All good and would highly recommend and go back.

My husband & I eat here frequently. We love the atmosphere and the food is yummy. They do have quite a big menu which can be confusing to a newbie but once you figure out what you want, it’s yummy! The only negative I have is that they are closed on Mondays :-(

Great sandwiches and cookies, but you really need to try the lemon scones. I do not recommend the broccoli cheddar soup. It is seriously lacking flavor.

I so wish this place was closer to my home. I have eaten at this establishment several times over the years and it is consistently delicious. Usually order a sandwich(which comes with a pickle spear and a chocolate Kiss) and some sort of dessert when I go(today was a PB cookie cup with chocolate ganache and m & m’s). Lunch time can be crowded, but we beat that today. Not only do they have sandwiches, they have mixed coffee drinks, soups, salads and a deli area with salamis, cheeses, spreads, etc. Yum!

I have been going to Fiori’s for close to 20 years. What used to be a very good deli, has become a huge disappointment! The sandwiches are top dollar and NOT good. There is a minimal amount of low quality meat, cheese, etc., and the bread is often stale and dry. Yesterday I dropped by to give it one last try… I went to the salad case(as I said before, sandwiches are substandard at best) where there is a sign that says to ask if you don’t find the kind you want, and they will make it up for you. There weren’t any chefs salads left. I went to the counter and ordered one. I paid $ 12 for my salad, drink, and a tiny rice crispy treat. I could see the salad making station from where I was waiting. The woman who made my salad was far more interested in chit-chatting with her coworkers AND drinking her soda than doing her job! They called my name, handed me my order in a bag, and away I dashed back to work. I was absolutely disgusted when I opened my lunch! There was about two handfuls of prepackaged iceberg lettuce, ONE cut up piece of salami, ONE very thin slice of cut up cheese, and about a tablespoon of mixed turkey and roast beef sandwich meat shrivels! I was so mad! I paid almost $ 9 for this«salad»! So now, I can honestly say, I am done with The Butcher Shoppe! What was once a GREAT, family run, good food, hometown icon… is GONE. This is top dollar, meager portion, low quality food now. Very sad.

AMAZINGFOOD! Loved my chicken salad sandwich served with a Hershey kiss on the side BUT customer service was rude I had my hands full my son in his carrier and my 3 year old daughter we each had a sample cup my hands where already so full I asked them to please throw it away for me and she said«there’s trash cans all around just look» so I walked away struggling to throw my things away meanwhile left behind my wallet and keys had set them down at one point I guess to grab our sample cups while she just stared but rather than that it was good id go back just won’t get any samples because it kills them to do a simple favor lift a eLFInG finger

I’m a native Stocktonian, but lived near Lodi for a few years, and went to Tokay for high school– so naturally, my friends and I would go to Fiori’s for our lunch hour back in our hs days(wow, almost 10 years ago!). I’m partial to Podesto’s or Gian’s Deli, but Fiori’s makes a darn good sandwich if you’re in the area looking for lunch. I stick with smoked turkey and pepper jack cheese on Dutch crunch, and it’s always satisfying! I haven’t been here in about a year, but I think it’s worth stopping for if you’re in the area. They also sell local olive oils, salami, wines, cheese, bbq sauce, peppers, etc. Yum!

Ate here yesterday with friends. This sandwich shop was not bad but not good either. I was really looking forward to eating here after seeing and hearing about this place. I ordered a pesto chicken sandwich which was served really cold. It was my fault that I did not specify for it to be toasted, but they really should ask you if you want it cold or hot. The taste of the sandwich was okay, but it was missing flavor. I also bought a lemon bar, because I am a sucker for all lemon pastries. I felt a little disappointed biting into a overly sugared acidic pastry. My friend ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and noted that the flavoring tasted artificial and not natural. It’s not that hard to take the extra step to put real fruit in, especially when you are charging extra money. I may give this place another try in the future, but for now, I’d rather spend my money on better food.

Came in today and ordered the«Butcher’s Choice» sandwich because it sounded good and figured for $ 6.99 it would be somewhat substantial. Boy was I wrong. There was almost no meat, paper-thin sliced cheese and not much else. The Genova roll was obviously from the previous day and was definitely not fresh. I did go there at 8 a.m., which is when they open, but they shouldn’t use day old bread on any sandwich. I was still very hungry after finishing the sandwich, so I think that they should rename the sandwich the«Dieters Choice». I will never be back.

Love my sandwich. Excellent service. The restaurant is very clean neat and organized. The bathroom and this place is cleaner than my bathroom. Get there early because the line is long.

One star is being generous. My friend and I spent an hour trying to find this place, we are not from Lodi, and when we got there and told the girl it was out first time she said«oh» and walked away. When she did take our order she was rude and didn’t even say thank you! As we sat an ate, two people who I am assuming are the owners, were standing at the cooler right behind us arguing. The words«stupid idiot» were exchanged and it was so distracting my friend and I couldn’t carry on our conversation. After that was over, an employee came out and started vacuuming the rugs!!! Why would you vacuum when you can clearly see people trying to eat?! I work in customer service and know what is to be expected. Hands down the worst experience and I will never be back. As for the food, it was over priced and I could make the same thing at home.

I’m a fan, but there are some complaints. The place is super busy, so they do take some time getting your order, even when you call it in. Because it’s busy, finding a wiped down table can be hard, and if I eat there, I’ll do it myself. The worst is the lay out of the tables. You’re pretty much sitting on top of each other because they cram as many tables as possible in there. It’s great that they have all these customers, but they need a bigger space. Now the good-great selection of local wines and olive oils, excellent sandwiches that leave you stuffed. I’ve never had the problem with skimped meat, but then again, I always order the sonoma BLT. Their baked goodies are awesome too. The service is usually very good, and very friendly. So all in all, 4 stars for the food, 2 stars for the dining area. Best thing to do is order for pickup and take it home.

I love the Butcher Shoppe! Always tasty sandwiches, and if you ever want to bring food home. they have a great section to pick out items to prepare at home! We love the owners, and the staff is always so friendly, and helpful. This place is a well-oiled machine…

My first time here and I ordered a pesto chicken sandwich choosing the french roll as my bread of choice. I expected the sandwich to be a little bit more bigger but the taste satisfy me. Not only did the sandwich itself satisfy me but its one of the few sandwiches I’ve eaten without making much mess or stuff just falling off while eating lol
