First of all, I’d just like to start with the fact that I had to push my re roof job off for an entire year because of the lack of presence of roofing companies where online reviews are concerned. The research was much more involved(word of mouth, serious BBB research, etc.). At the end of it, I ended up getting 6 bids overall. There was a VERY wide range(from $ 6k to $ 15k). Very confusing to figure out who to go with. Most seemed to know their craft well and were able to inspire enough confidence that the work would be solid. Juan(the owner) came out and did the initial bid. I liked what he had to say better than most. Nothing was bare bones, all Owens Corning material, lifetime warranty shingles, all permits and parts included. His bid was the lowest by $ 2k to the next closest one. This isn’t why we chose him however, it was because he sold us on the value of what he was doing, reduced those costs in every available arena(i.e., has his crew do the tear off and does his own hauling), and showed us how that was translating into equal savings for us. His crew completed the job in two days, and we were present for every minute of it. These guys don’t cut a single corner, they just work incredibly efficiently. But it was 100% complete in two days, they were always on time, and dealt with the city inspector. The work was incredible, and despite uncovering a lot more dry rot than anticipated, they were able to get it done within $ 500 of the original estimate. My property was left if beautiful condition, and the roof changed the entire look of the house. I don’t think I could be a bit happier if we’d taken the $ 15k bid. I just don’t see what they could have done in either material or workmanship that would be an improvement over this finished product. My only regret is that I don’t need to have a roof done more often, because I’d patronize a business with this level of service as often as possible. If you’re gathering estimates, DONOT pass these guys over for a bid. They’re the ones you want.
