Lodi Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Group

So I am 25 weeks pregnant and my doctor is Dr. Robert Howen. He’s honestly the best doctor I’ve ever come in contact with. There was a comment about his bedside manner, which I understand to someone who doesn’t know, but if you have no filter like me you have a tendency to get some interesting answer. According to a nurse Dr. Howen has had a condition since he was little that has basically made it impossible for his face to truly move, which in turn means he cannot show a range of emotions. He’s not capable of smiling. But there is NO ONE else I would have delivering my baby. He’s been in the field longer than anyone in the office as he was actually the person who delivered the father of my baby as well as all of his siblings (we were unaware of this at the time of our first appointment). He takes the time to personally get to know you and is willing to answer ANY question.

Doctor Howen is the best Gynecologist I have ever met. I have certain problems and he was the only one that EVER found out why. I am so happy to have found a doctor I trust as much as I do him. He is the kindest, sweetest, gentle doctor I have ever seen. I will be his patient as long as he will allow me to be. His nurse is also VERY kind and sweet. She is smart and smiles in a comforting way. She is great. They make a great team and I have NEVER been comfortable with gynecologists before due to my problems. The best part is he said that it was not my fault and he could help me. I can’t believe after 57 years I have finally felt comfortable at one of these visits. Thank you so much, Julie Jordan

I have been a client of this Lodi OB clinic for over two years and am very happy with their service. The waiting room is clean, the staff are friendly, and the wait time for appointments is minimal. Dr. Arthur is very personable, even if its been a while since I’ve seen her she always remembers me, which makes me feel like she cares.

Dr. Nakashima is an AMAZING doctor. Extremely patient; knowledgeable and kind! A definite benefit to Lodi Obstetrics.
Billie and Michelle are two of the best people in the group — the staff is so very kind and wonderful.
The only downfall is Dr. Robert Howen — his bedside manner and behavior toward patients is deplorable. He’s a real jerk. Unfortunately he’s the one who will perform ultrasound on you; however there are other options. I went elsewhere to get my ultrasound performed by real professions. Therefore new moms… you don’t have to subject yourself to Dr. Robert Howen’s behavior. He acts as if you are wasting HIS time during YOUR pregnancy. So much for medical oaths and professionalism.
I gave this place 4 stars because despite a bad apple like Robert Howen there are amazing doctors like Dr. Carol Nakashima and fantastic staff like Billie RN and Michelle at the front desk!!!
