Please read all of this. If I can save anyone from this horrible excuse of a health care provider everyone will benefit. By far the worst Doctor I have ever been to. I have been a patient of hers for over 5 years and cannot take it any longer. The first problem started when she addressed my weight. I am 5’3″. and I weigh 128 pounds. I am into weight lifting and just had my percent body fat done by hydro-static weighing which is among the most accurate. My body fat was 18.2%. That’s pretty low for a woman(google it if you don’t believe me). After looking at my weight she addressed my BMI and continued to tell me I was overweight. As a doctor she of all people should know BMI is not a correct way to measure someone especially someone with an athletic body. The next instance was also uncalled for. Last year while I was in college I broke my heal I came home to see my primary care provider to get xrays and all that follows. She told me I had to be on crutches for 2 weeks with absolutely no weight barring. It was really painful but I could walk. I told her I had to go back to work as I was a student putting my self through school, and she asked me how important all of that was to me. I was baffled and just dropped it. I cannot believe a woman of her education would question how important school and work are to me. She then told me she was going to give me a prescription for Vicodin to ease the pain. I am allergic to Vicodin(which is in in my records) so naturally I told her no, and she said fine you can take Tylenol. If you have ever broken a bone you would know that Tylenol doesn’t take the edge off, and in large doses can cause liver damage. My mom was in the room with me and that was the last time we ever set foot in her office. But it doesn’t end there. This past month I got into optometry school and needed papers signed regarding my shot records. I called the office to see if I could drop the papers off to be signed, and Dr. Qumar said she would not sign my papers with out a visit. As I am in perfectly good health there is no reason for the exam, and an exam would not change anything about the paper work it would simply be money in her pocket. Although I said that to her she still said she wanted a visit and since I need those papers to start school I rearranged my work schedule and planned to drive the two and a half hours back to my hometown to get these papers signed. Since I graduated with my bachelors degree I am no longer eligible to be on my parents insurance. I have insurance through my school but it does not start till August. I told the front desk I would be willing to pay out of pocket for the exam as I just needed the papers signed. After all of this she refused to see me because I do not have insurance, but was willing to pay all fees. Dr. Qumar you are a sorry excuse for a Doctor. You take an oath as a doctor and as a health care provider to better your community, but you are simply a disgrace. The Medical school you graduated from, the board who gave you a licence to practice, and Sutter Health should be ashamed of themselves.

Best doctor I’ve been to hands down! Took my mom to see Dr. Qamar as a new patient. I only wish I lived close by, would love to have her as my primary physician as well. Dr. Qamar is the first dr. that listens, explains and asks,“do you have any questions?” She’s by far the best physician I have ever been too!!!

I’m very happy with this doctor. You all don’t need to know my biz, but what you need to know is that she will listen & diagnose appropriately. She also refers out to specialists & goes over lab work in detail. She explains things so that it makes sense & isn’t in confusing doctor terminology. Need a doctor who listens, takes notes with pen & paper(what an old fashioned concept right?) and explains options for you based on your health, beliefs & needs? This is the doctor for you.

Dr. Qamar and her staff are awesome! From the minute you walk in the front desk people are always very nice and friendly. I’ve never had to wait more that 10 minutes to see Dr. Qamar. Dr. Qamar is a very friendly doctor who takes her time to get to know you and talk with you. You never feel like you are being rushed. She always makes sure that all of your questions are being answered. She is also very informative She talks you through everything that she is doing and what she finds, as simple as why she is shining a light into your eyes. She makes you feel totally comfortable and at ease, I love her! Not only that but she is great with communication. She even sent me test results and anwsered questions on a Sunday night! If you’re looking for a doctor she’s great!
