I wanted to leave this for you fellow Unilocalers… if you haven’t heard… The family finally has retired. Taste of Thai had an amazing run over the last 21 years. We were so incredibly sad to drive up with our Taste of Thai craving only to see they are enjoying retirement. We will absolutely miss them, and wish you all well… Enjoy your family!

Great family owned restaurant, the owner is friendly and remembers her customers. My family has come here for over a decade, the BEST Thai food in lodi! Green curry is the best I’ve ever had, and ALWAYS get a this iced tea, delicious!

Absolutely delicious food. Would recommend to anyone. The curry was some of the best I’ve ever had. Everything we’ve tried has been excellent. Can’t wait to go there again.

This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant anywhere, and I’ve eaten Thai food all over the world. The green curry has me ruined for it anywhere else. And the spicy noodles are always perfect and yummy. The owner is so friendly and always has ideas for me to try something new. Sometimes I do, but it is hard to beat what I love!

I’ve ordered here a few times for lunch to go. As for the food quality, it is pretty good. However I think the portion is SOSMALL and it’s a rip off to pay 9 $ for lunch and get like a 1.5 cups of a serving and they forget the salad or soup sometimes too! Had too many disappointing lunches here, not going back.

This is one for my favorite restaurants in Lodi. Yellow curry chicken is my favorite dish here. I have had it at other Thai places in other towns but this one is still my favorite. It’s clean inside and the service is friendly and fast.

Ordered the chicken pad Thai for lunch. The pad Thai was slimy, small portion and chicken tasted old. Charged an extra .68 for hot sauce … Only tried this place because of the distance but now I will take the time to drive to «Thai Spice.» Way better food!!!

This is average Thai food at best, though it’s great that Lodi does have some Thai food now. The chairs are uncomfortable and it’s clean but not interesting as far as the interior is concerned. It’s in a strip mall so, not much can be done about the exterior. The food is tasty enough, though the portions are not large, and pay attention when they say«hot» as even the«med» dishes are pretty hot. I think there should be more vegetables in the curry dishes, but am glad they have dark meat in the chicken dishes, at least the ones I’ve had. I always ask for it and they told me both times that it comes that way in the dishes I ordered. The owner is very nice but the service from the waitress was lackluster both times we went.

I just love this place! The owner is always so sweet when I call-in my to-go orders and they are always so friendly when I pick up. I tried something new today, yellow curry chicken with a side of Jasmine rice. Yum. A nice smooth, creamy(thanks to coconut milk) but light broth with chicken and potatoes. The flavorful broth finishes with a mild kick of heat which is a nice balance to the coconut milk. The Jasmine rice is a must-have, you need something to soak up all of that wonderful broth! A nice alternative to my usual order of spicy noodles. Until next time…

heard how great this place was. service was great. noticed alot of regulars here. a bit confused by the décor kinda like Napa meets Bankok. zthat aside the food was flavorful and fresh. veggies not over cooked. portions could be a bit larger to meet the price point. I would come back.

My, and my family’s, favorite Thai restaurant! We have been coming here for probably 15 years now and this place is sooooo good! It is a very small restaurant with room for only 10 – 12 tables. The owner is always there, her mother is always cooking in the kitchen. They are the sweetest people and make some of the most incredible curry dishes one could want. I adore the red and yellow curries, my mother prefers the green. All three are incredible. Good seafood, fresh veggies, it’s all just so good.

Amazing Thai food! The green curry is my favorite along w/the spicy noodles & chicken satay! However, the red and yellow curries are also amazing along with the fried banana’s w/coconut ice cream for dessert! This is a must try… your mouth will be having a party! The owner is a doll and the service is great!

My sweetheart and I were in Lodi and wanted to grab a bite to eat. One of our friends always told us about a Taste of Thai and how yummy it was. As we got there, we were seated and got our menus. The menu was small with lunch specials. I had the special with the stir-fried pawns with holy basil, mushrooms. It came with a serving size of tom yum soup and steamed jasmine rice. It was pure deliciousness! The tom yum soup is perfectly seasoned with its sweet and tangy flavors. The stir fry was amazing! Spicy! My sweetheart ordered Pad see ew and he says its one of the best he has ever had. The portions are rather small but its quality over quanitity. We had the Thai Tea’s too and they are very refreshing! We will come back to this place very soon. just for the pad see ew :)

A Taste of Thai is an AMAZING restaurant! It is easily the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The way they cook makes you feel so «at-home». It’s never too greasy, and always has such nice service. The main person there always treats you so kindly, and she always remembers me! It’s a bit of a drive, so I don’t go too often, but she always remembers who I am. I recommend this restaurant to everyone out there! Even though it isn’t extremely fancy with chandeliers at every table, the food is WONDERFUL, and that’s why people should be going there in the first place! Try this place out, you will not regret it!!! :) *Oh, and may I recommend the Fried Banana and Ice Cream for dessert? Sooooooo gooooodddd…

This is my «go to» Thai restaurant when traveling down I5 in the Central Valley. Very friendly, great food, inexpensive lunches, I will not pass through Lodi without stopping here! I know Thai food, and this is the real deal.

Great Thai Food. Try the Salad, with the Peanut Curry Sauce. Me and my wife love this place. Very Quaint, very friendly owner. They do close in the afternoon, so their hours are a little odd, but a great place to relax and enjoy a great meal. Prices are very fair.

What am I missing here? This used to be the only place in town to get Thai food; then it was good since none of us could really compare as we didn’t know the difference. When Busaba’s opened(and later moved out to Vino Piazza where she then sold the restaurant to a really bad Italian place) I was taught that there are numerous styles of Thai food. I stopped going to ATOT. After Busaba’s, Thai Spices opened down at the other end of Turner Road and THAT is Thai food. Personally, I find the food at ATOT to be less than inspiring and a little on the dull side… I guess I’m addicted to Palace Style Thai food which I find better at Thai Spices. If you REALLY want the best Thai food around these parts though, you need to hitch up the wagon and drive to Sacramento and eat at Thai Palace. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

This is the favorite restaurant of all for me :) I must say this is the cleanest thai food you will find. I certainly leave here full, but not in an uncomfortable unbuttoning the pants kind of way. The food they make is so flavorful and delicious. The favorites here are: 1. Spicy noodle 2. spicy rice 3. BBQ Chicken(has a yellow curry kick) The thai Ice Tea aint so bad either ;)
