Had to be singlehandedly the worst meal and the worst experience we have ever had at a restaurant. Had it not been illegal, I would have refused to pay. Food was cold, tasteless, underseasoned and undercooked. The cheese dip even had a greenish hue to it. After multiple complaints, the waitress still refused to get the manager or the cook to hear our concerns, and when we finally spoke to one, he refused to apologize. Stating simply that«He’ll check it out». I went to share a nice meal with my grandfather, and what we ended up with was effectively a $ 35 soda and sweet tea. Very disappointed since their move, and will not be going here again.

We’ve been here four times. The first time was a fantastic experience, with great food, great value, and great service. It was a little eerie though because the place was empty except for my family and all the kitchen and wait staff were staring at us while we ate. My wife wondered if they’d done something to our food and were watching us eat it to amuse themselves. But no one got sick so… The second time the food was less wonderful but fine, and the service was a little slow. The third time was terrible. It looked to me as if the entire wait staff had quit and one lone someone who isn’t a server was waiting on the entire restaurant during a lunch rush. After 45 minutes of waiting for him to take our order we had to leave. He was very nice and apologetic though. That’s why we came back. The fourth time the food and service were good. The food here is good, but not great. It’s head and shoulders better than Frontera though. We’ll come back probably because it’s a good value and it’s right on the way from Snellville to Loganville.

We have been eating here for 4 years now and the food has gotten better and better over the years. We try others but keep going back to our tried and true. Chunky salsa is great… if they would do table-side guacamole I would eat there every night! The guac is blended to a purée and I can do without that. If you’ve gone once or twice and didn’t like it, try a new dish. They have some that are amazing like the Agave Special.

Anyone who would say the food here is good, has been in ga too long. This is the worst food in the Mexican genre I’ve ever tasted. From the burnt taste of the beans to the old chicken, old totillas and watery salsa. It was gross. I sent my food back and left.

This is meant to be informative rather than critical. The address listed here is incorrect, very incorrect. There are a number of El Ranchero Mexican restaurants around Atlanta(none in Atlanta) but none close to the address. The phone number listed matches the one in Loganville — 4325 Atlanta Hwy. My tacos were chicken with all the fixings. The food is great. The staff is friendly. The service is quick. Lobster tacos with slaw are divine. It’s great for lunch or dinner. The noise level is low. The crowd is as diverse as they come.

I like this place because it is fresh and you get a lot for your money. There are two different salsas that are both delicious however I favor the less tomatoey one while my fiancée prefers the opposites. I come here about 3 times a week for steak tacos and chips and salsa. The staff is friendly and always cheerful.

Chips and salsa was very good. They preheat chips and tasted fresh. Salsa on the spicy side but good. Queso was good. Shrimp fajitas was very good. My only issue was some of the common food(rice, beans, etc.) tasted like it had been sitting for awhile. My daughters dish was cold. We had them reheat it. The décor was pleasant and place seemed clean. Overall, not bad, but not excellent either.

I have been a long term patron of both El Ranchos’ in Loganville because of their convenient locations and in despite of their below average Mexican fare and low quality chips. Most recently I had their«super supreme chicken fajita nachos» and was severely disappointed. For one, they loaded the nachos with iceberg lettuce, which combined with the queso to produce the most disgusting, slimy texture. Secondly, the nachos were light on toppings I expect to receive on super supreme nachos. There were no peppers, no olives, no jalapeños, few beans, and a dab of sour cream and guacamole. Lastly, El Ranchero needs to change their definition of what a fajita is. I expected sautéed onions, peppers and chicken on my fajita style nachos. What I received was grilled chicken with slices of raw onion. On this same occasion the service was very poor, my friends and I will not be back. Why waste time on them when there are so many other choices in the area?

I think I had Mexican sympathy cravings tonight. So a quick trip to El Ranchero was in order. The service here is great and the food does not disappoint. One and a half burritos later my cravings were fully satisfied. You can get in and out of here quick so no worries if your time is pressing.

El Ranchero in Snellville is located right next to the seafood restaurant Ocean Breeze. I started thinking about some of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Snellville area, and this place immediately came to mind. Unfortunately El Ranchero plays second fiddle to the immensely popular local restaurant chain known as Frontera, who probably takes away most of their business; however, I have decided to address some of the reasons why I think El Ranchero is a far better place to satisfy your craving for Mexican food. The inside of the restaurant is on the small side, but there are many qualities at El ranchero that make up for the lack of space. The fajitas at El Ranchero are outstanding. I try to order the Chicken and Beef Fajita combo almost every time I am at the restaurant. I don’t know what is about the side of frijoles that comes with the Fajita dinner, but they are the best that I have ever tasted, so I usually mix them in with my tortillas. Also, the Fajitas here are less expensive than any other Mexican restaurant that I have ever visited. The margaritas at El Ranchero are another reason you should consider dining here instead of other Mexican restaurants. They are some of the tastiest margaritas that I have ever had, and they are probably the strongest too. I was here one time with a date and we ordered an pitcher of their Texas margaritas that was nearly impossible to finish. It was one of the largest and strongest margarita pitchers that I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. The wait staff here is great also. They actually have a paging system available at each table that allows the customers to hit a button that alerts the waiter of your tables need for another round of margaritas. Just make sure you don’t go over board with the whole paging thing, unless you want the waiter to talk smack about you to his co-workers in this secret language they refer to as «Espanol.»
