Today was my first day seeing Dr Danisa. I’ve been dealing with lower back pain and sciatica for a year and a half. I’ve tried physical therapy, but it only helped so much — but not enough. I have been terrified of the thought of spinal surgery. Dr Danisa was really nice and funny. He looked over my MRI and took a couple X-rays. Then he explained my options and what he thought was the best course of treatment. I’m still terrified of spinal surgery, but Dr Danisa was really good at helping me feel more at ease. He didn’t force me to choose any particular course of treatment, which was great. He explained all my options, told me what he thought was best and said to choose what I wanted to do. The staff here are top notch and there are many Orthopaedic doctors at this office. For a first experience here, I’d recommend Dr Danisa. [UPDATE13 June 2013]… Dr Danisa did my spine surgery on 25 April. He’s an excellent surgeon. The constant sciatica pain I’d been dealing with for far too long is pretty much gone. I’m still healing and I still have some back pain, but Dr Danisa is taking great care of me during follow-up visits and responding quickly to questions submitted through the LLUMC online system.
