I have been seeing Dr. Pesevanto at Retina Consultants of Southern California for four years now. I originally was referred so that I could have diabetic eye check ups, but after my first visit, Dr. Pesevanto discovered I have a genetic condition called Retinal Dystrophy. This condition CAN cause blindness and in some people it can be rapid and in others it never causes a problem. He rescheduled me to come back 6 months later to take additional retina photos to capture the progression of the dystrophy. Luckily, I was unchanged so I have been returning annually since. Luckily for me, I have remained unchanged. Hooray!
What I like about this Dr.‘s office is that all of the staff are very friendly and professional. Everyone knows what they are doing and while these are not quick in and out appointments they do their best to keep things moving. They always get all of the necessary approvals through my insurance and I am not required to do anything except show up. YEA!
Dr. Pesevanto has been great and even provided me with samples for another eye problem I was having but recommended I be referred to another ophthalmologist as he is very specialized to retina issues. He also has a great manner and is helpful with recommendations to keep my eyes healthy.
While I dislike having these tests done as it is uncomfortable and I need a driver and miss work to do them, Dr. Pesevanto and his staff do what they can to make it as painless as they can. Thanks!
