I am the Executive Director of a local chapter of a national women’s networking group. We meet twice a month at Brio in Lombard and they take such great care of us and the food is excellent! We frequently have guests that constantly say«I have never been here, the food is excellent, I will definitely be back». Our meeting was moved form our normal location yesterday, from the private dining room to an area of the bar. The manager and I discussed it at our last meeting, I said it was no problem at all. Well to our groups surprise, he had several appetizers sent out to us for the«inconvenience»! Talk about WOW service! Our wait staff was excellent– shame on me for forgetting his name– as well. Highly recommend! They have an excellent happy hour and patio as well!

I have now been here twice and the service was the same. Both times out server never came back and asked if we needed anything. Our water glasses and drink glasses were emptied before the check ever came. Don’t get me wrong food was good, but service not so much.

Mother’s Day lunch at brio. Had reservation for 1:00 for party of 6. Was promptly seated and service was friendly and attentive. Now the food part: ordered calamari and peppercini. There was more peppercini then calamari. The calamari was rubbery and completely void of flavor or seasoning. Unfortunately I will have to say this was the worst calamari I have ever had! The rest of the food was just ok. Two of us ordered a shrimp dish that was on a bed of faro and spinach. Had fairly good flavor. My daughter ordered a roasted chicken dish but was brought chicken limon instead. Not being a complainer she decided to eat it but was coated with a soggy breading that was overly eggy. Mother a very picky eater. Asked for a simple grilled salmon with asparagus. They were accommodating and gave here what she asked for. No complaints there. Overall not a bad experience but disappointed with some on the food.

Nice comfortable Italian ambiance. The food is better than average. If you haven’t been here it’s worth the trip.

We’ve enjoyed Brio several times and returned last Saturday with a party of four. The food was excellent. I had the special fish, trout with a wonderful sauce over julienned veggies. Big portion, hot and tasty. Our server(Gatto?) was super. Checked on us frequently but was not intrusive. Like so many restaurants the noise level was very high, so loud that I struggled to keep up with conversation. I give four stars, because the restaurant is so good, BUT, I won’t be returning soon because it is too noisy.

Love This place! Been here for a variety of reasons… Happy hour, dinner with friends and family, just drinks, to celebration meals for birthdays and graduations. Every time I come to Brio the food is just as good. I’ve had a variety of plates from here including Pastas, Pizzas, Flatbreads, Shrimp Dishes, etc! I love love love their happy hour menu that is offered in the bar area only or outside on the patio. Although it is only offered through the week and not on the weekends, it is a great little menu. The drink choices and the food choices are both tasty! Plus the portion sizes of the happy hour plates couldnt get any better. A Full burger, or my personal favorite which is the eggplant and shrimp dish. The Red Sangria is always a great go to as well. Service is always great and I continue coming because the experience is great each time!

Beautiful atmosphere, clean, friendly staff. Our server was named GATO, and was one of the very best servers ever. Knowledgeable, friendly, and he knew how to pace our dinning experience. Will ask for him next time.

Updated — 3÷21÷16 — the manager contacted us, apologized for the bad experience, and offered us a gift card to be used on our next visit — we changed to 5-stars for this effort. We have been to Brio several times, and really enjoy the food. Over the summer, we have sat outside, and for Valentines Day, sat in the back room, which is quieter than the larger main room. However — this past weekend, we went with another couple, and it was not great… it was bad. The food was fine — it was the older woman server named Georgian and general service — #1 — Ordered wine — and it took a long time — server came back and said one request was not avail… #2 — Salad was not delivered — came later with dinner #3 — Came back to verify our order — when she should have been delivering We think she totally lost our order on her little scrap of paper, and it was therefore never entered, and the salads were blamed on someone else forgetting to deliver, and the wine ?? There were two other 4-place tables around us that actually were turned — they had been seated, served, cleared, and a new set of customers seated BEFORE we had our dinners served !!!

We visited for lunch and it led to a very enjoyable experience. Marta was our waitress and she was on top of her game. Refills were refilled in a timely manner and she was very sweet. I love the bread basket here, it includes seasoned flatbread type triangles as well as some warm, fresh bread. I ordered the tomato caprese, nothing too special. Yet, the lemon type seasoning drizzled on the side of the plate was flavorful. My entrée was the pasta ala vodka minus the pancetta. The sauce was slightly spicy, just the way I like it! The little purses filled with ricotta were delightful and pretty! However, the pasta could have used a little more sauce. Dessert was awesome! Chocolate layered cake was delicious! Overall, a very good experience.

Came here last Saturday for a friend’s bday. I get there & because of the size of our group which was about 20 people, we are in a separate area for ourselves. I wasn’t sure how the bill was going to be taken care of or if my friend was paying for all of us so I just did my best to enjoy & worry later. I had an amazing pesto chicken pasta that I asap had to instagram! My plate was enough to feed 2 people! The bread & thin cracker bread was to die for!!! The dessert I got was mocha gelato. Although it was pretty, it had freezer burn in the center! That almost cost this place a star! But then came the bill… Never in my life had I been to such an elite restaurant that split the bill perfectly between couples! Let a lone split the bill with more than 2 cards!!! The food was amazing, the service was top quality, & splitting that bill with that big of a group made you earn that 5th start! CHEERSBRIO I’LLBEBACKSOON!!!

The food here was substantially sub par. the salad was chopped iceberg lettuce that was overpowered by onions and tangy pungent vinegrette. The pasta was clumped together and dry. The chicken was cold. i wouldn’t want to pay $ 10 for this meal let alone $ 15 – 20 a plate for sad ill-prepared food.

Horrible, horrible, horrible service here. Did I not stress that enough? SOBAD. When the food finally arrived it was decent, but we are talking Olive Garden quality: mass-produced sorry excuse for Italian food. I do not recommend this place at all.

Went there for lunch for the first time and I love the food. I had the shrimp mediteranean and my friend had the grilled salmon salad. The shrimp mediteranean size was just enough for me with good sized shrimp on top of orzo. I had a bite of the grilled salmon salad and the fish was grilled to perfection, which I like. Our server was accomodating and was quick to let me know that they ran out of mango iced tea. Will definitely be back there.

Brio is your typical Americanized Italian food and I wasn’t very impressed from my first visit there. Service was alright, our waiter was a little slow even though the restaurant was pretty empty for a Thursday night. My friend and I were seated in a huge booth even though there was only 2 of us but I wasn’t complaining. We were given bread and some flatbread crisps to start off with which was pretty good! We both ordered the sweet potato and chicken risotto and I had high hopes for it since it sounded like a great combo. Well let me tell you, the dish turned out pretty disappointing. The risotto had too many elements(a few bites of sweet potato, asparagus, pulled chicken, prosciutto, and pine nuts) and none of the flavors really stood out. In addition to that, the dish was too salty and portions were fairly small for a dish that cost $ 20. Overall the food was mediocre and I probably wouldn’t be back unless there were no other options available which isn’t the case because there are a bunch of other restaurants in the mall and nearby.

Been going her for a while. Most recently went with my wife for her Birthday. Service was quick and attentive from the hostess, to the waiter, and even the manager Jim. Thanks for the good service Jim. We enjoyed quickly getting our drinks and appetizer. We wanted to hang out a little bit though, and delayed ordering our dinner– which in some restaurants you may feel rushed to order– but not here. They understand the value of good food, drink, and quality time with your dinner guests. Eventually we moved on to entrée’s, both of which were excellent. One a more traditional pasta dish, and the other a lighter salmon entrée. And somehow we even had room for a little dessert. Overall very satisfied with Brio– AGAIN! P.S. They also did my wife’s Bridal Shower– to which that larger services was also very good.

I had a reservation for 7:30pm on Saturday night for 4. We arrived and were seated right away in a booth off to the side. The booth was technically a booth for 4 I suppose, although most of them were filled with couples. Someone(me) had to sit directly and uncomfortably on the corner. Our waitress started off great-she came right over and took drink orders. We started with the red pepper bruschetta which I had high hopes for. It was ok, nothing special and it was $ 12 which is pricey. The wedge salad was pretty tasty, and it came with a creamy parmesan dressing instead of bleu cheese which was a nice touch. By this point, we all needed refills but our waitress was nowhere in sight. She came by later and I received my refill and asked for a lime. 5 minutes later and still no lime. I asked a busboy for one. Still didn’t get it. Finally our server returned with a plate of limes, but by that time I had finished my drink. My friends ordered the pitcher of sangria after our server told them it would fill 4 glasses. They definitely got 3 glasses MAX and they were mostly ice. I’ve never seen a place fill the pitcher with so much ice. What a waste of $ 22. My friend and I shared the chicken limone which was a good idea because it was large. I liked that the kitchen split it for us in the back on separate plates. I wanted to ask for extra capers once I got it but again, our server was nowhere to be found. The chicken was good but I did not like the vegetables or potatoes, I felt both lacked flavor. Overall, for mediocre food and lackluster service I didn’t think it was worth the $ 32 plus tip I paid. I probably wouldn’t be back.

Classy, elegant and a great menu selection. Had the Sicilian omelet and it was filling and we’ll cooked. The wait staff was veer good — definitely a great date place.

Pretty upscale and lively atmosphere, we went in for an early dinner on a weekeday. Ordered the sampler bruschetta, i got the grilled chicken & mushroom with a sauce i quite didnt like and my friends got the alfredo pasta with chicken and bacon. All 3 of us ladies on a sugar conscious diet shared a crème brûlée which was good but nothing to fight over.

Good kids menu. Good desserts. Kids fresh vegetable. Ravioli de Bello is good and the bisteca salad.
