I visited this restaurant in the past and it was great so I thought I’d take my husband there for lunch since we were in the area again. We were both highly disappointed! The inside, bar and outside were very slow so we assumed we would be in and out. We did enjoy the seating outside but that was about it. My menu had milk spilt inside on all the pages, the tables and silverware were dirty. My husband’s lemonade was so tart he had to add sugar packets to it. I ordered a sandwich and my husband ordered a salad and we waited over an hour for our food. My plate was already cooled off when it arrived. My chicken sandwich was pretty plan, my husbands salad was OK but very light on the dressing. Very over priced forthe portions. During out lunch there was also a car alarm going off for most of the time. We left Annoyed and disappointed! I don’t think we’ll be returning

Visited today. We got there when it opened so we had the sole attention of our waiter. Food was fresh and delicious. Chicken egg roll appetizer was excellent with the ginger sauce. We also ate creamy tortilla soup, garden salad with corn bread croutons in a nice vinaigrette– yum! Had steak, shrimp and spicy Mac n cheese. Club sandwich with salt and pepper fries that had a battering type texture. A+ lunch Dessert that we took home: the mother load chocolate cake omg! So big and scrumptious along with their freshly made carrot cake. We will definitely visit again since we still have a Landry gift card to use. Enjoy your meal/s :)

We decided to try claim jumpers for the 1st time on mothers day this year, I called ahead to see if they took reservations for lunch, the person in the phone said no, but the patio was open seating and there was plenty of open tables, the person did not mention that there was a brunch buffet going on that day and they we not even serving lunch! When we got there, there was a huge crowd waiting for their tables and lots of people complaining to the hostess about the 1.5 hour wait! We were able to sit on the patio right away. I guess the other people wanted to sit inside? It was a very nice day and the patio was very comfortable with booth style seating and it’s completely covered, the only down side of the patio is that they do allow smoking which was gross while we ate. Especially since it’s about 90% enclosed. After we were sitting for about ten minutes with no sign of our server I decided to speak to the hostess, I approached the hostess stand and stood In front of about 3 or 4 girls who were not assisting any other customers at the time, and no one acknowledged me, I finally said«can someone please help me» in a sarcastic voice because by this time I was extremely annoyed, they said they would send our server over… We finally got our chance to go the the buffet to find that at least half of the food warmers were empty, completely empty with only crumbs, and it was so over crowded I felt like I was fighting for the food that was left, they eventually got around to refilling the warmers but by then my plate was already filled with food that I had settled for, instead of the things that I usually enjoy at these type of brunch buffets. Did I say it was way over crowded? Let me tell you again it was packed! we could hardly walk, with people running into each other and servers pushing their way through the customers RUDE! I really wanted to complain and get the hell out of there but I wanted to be a good sport for Mother’s Day, we have been to many of these brunch buffets before and this one is by far the worst, I’ve actually never had an experience this bad. I can’t imagine how horrible it must have been for the people who waited an hour and a half for a table just to fight over crumbs. There was even a line in the women’s bathroom like a sporting event. We came to have a nice relaxing mothers day lunch, we wanted to splurge and do something nice for mom, and ended up wasting our money on a bad experience. I am very skeptical of ever trying this restaurant again. This must have been this restaurants 1st brunch ever because they had no idea what they were doing, I strongly urge Claim Jumper to never hold a brunch ever again!

The food is good not great. The atmosphere is welcoming not fancy. Lets face it, its a chain restaurant in a mall parking lot. What was absolutely amazing was the service from Robert, the bartender. He was friendly, polite, attentive, knew the menu in and out, he was extremely helpful, and a complete gentleman. Honestly there are a million of these joints to go to grab a burger and a beer or maybe even a slab of ribs. This is the type of service that would make a customer return because they had a great experience.

First off the hostess did not acknowledge at all. Then told us to take a seat to wait and when she called us she just rudely pointed and said«two» The food was okay. Somehow a potato fry ended up in my seared ahi salad and my fiancé fruit bowl has molded grapes in it. Then we were completely over looked by the manager asking every table around us if they were enjoying themselves. Will never be back again.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for our meal today. Our potato cakes as an appetizer were outstanding! Our entrees were equally good and the portions were so large that we have enough leftovers for another two meals. We love this restaurant.

Pro: portions were generous Con: Waiter lost our order 10 minutes after he took them from us. He came back and took our order again. He was also incredibly slow overall and never once asked what we’d like to drink. Food was only okay. Traditional American fare, cooked not to perfection.

Okay first question… do they have any relation to Claim Company? When I walked in and browsed the menu, I noticed similarities between the two. Anyways, I stopped in here with two guests and we were seated in a cozy spot near their large fireplace. Our server, Carlos, was very good and kept checking on us despite the place getting fairly busy. On to the food, their cheese bread appetizer is pretty delicious and I give them a thumbs up for not having generic, boring bread. For my entrée, I ordered the New England clam chowder and the BBQ Chicken salad. Both were quite disappointing. The soup tasted very bland and was cold. The BBQ salad was not remotely as delicious as it looked– it needed way more BBQ sweet sauce to make up for the lack of flavor. The whole time I was wishing there was some avocado in it! My other guest ordered the chicken Caesar salad and was not wild about it either. However, my other guest really enjoyed her creamy chicken tortilla soup and sliders! Maybe I’ll be back in the future… I really do like the rustic atmosphere of this place!

Typically really enjoy the experience here. The lighting is dim in some areas, but usually have a great time. Service today was deplorable. Server brought two of the wrong dishes, and quite literally ignored my mother. I’m no genius, but I’m fairly certain that is not a good way to acquire a hefty tip. The manager had to come over and deliver the food for him, as he watched like a lost puppy dog. We did have a couple table touches from other managers, which was nice. Food was OK, nothing great. A couple years ago would have been 4 or even 5 stars, not today.

The drinks were expensive and very weak; the long island tasted like just sour mix. The food was something you’d expect from a sad rundown chain restaurant… Which I guess this has become. The service was slow on all accounts. You’d have a better time going somewhere else. There are few worse contenders at this price point.

Like some people have mentioned here, we were not sure what to make of this place. The theme was mining«Claim Jumper» but the décor was all over the place. The service was very slow and it was only at 60−70% capacity. The waiter was very professional and we reflected it in his tip. The service was so slow he continued to bring us bread and saying«Your appetizer will be here in a few moments» after the 3rd time it became the running joke. We ordered the Appetizer Sampler and unfortunately that was the best part of the experience. It took 45 minutes for us to finally receive our meals. I expected higher quality, better flavor more substance and none of that was achieved, it was shockingly disappointing. Appetizer Sampler — Great, 2 thumbs up. Tenderloin Tips — Mash potatoes were good, the gravy was nothing to write home about which in the end made it hard to eat. Jambalaya Pasta — Shrimp was great, sausage was razor thin, and pasta was just ok. Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo — My son loves pasta but the Alfredo sauce was bad, it made the entire dish uneatable. Calzones — They have NOCLUE about how to make a real calzone. This this was 50% air and puff pastry. We had to dissect it find the pepperoni, Sad. Overall we have had better for much, much less. Honestly Applebee’s has a better caliber of food at reasonable prices. We came, we ate some of it and we will never be back. The positive take-back is there are other restaurants in the area to try when next out shopping. Ps. The only thing that arrived quickly was the bill.

I’m not really sure what to make of this place. The name tells me nothing at all. The food leans more toward southern comfort food, but it is kind of all over the board. The décor is like a rustic lodge. Sooooo… what kind of restaurant is this? Anyways. Their menu is huge! Anything from pot pies to burgers to pasta. They make it, and it probably isn’t good for you. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Stuffed Sweet Potato. That was very good, and probably one of the more healthy things on the menu. The drinks were good, not strong by any means. They also have a decent happy hour menu. Our server was ok. We were never asked about refills or more drinks. It seemed like he didn’t come around often. And it took forever to get our drinks in the first place. I would come back, but to me it is like many other chain restaurants that I have been to. It didn’t blow me away.

I wanted to like this place. After all, my friends had come here and said it would be a good place for lunch. The menu looked good, it was in the right location, so what went wrong? This place has a definite service issue. I gave it three stars because the manager came over, asked how everything was and basically comped half our meal given the poor service we had but I feel like he should have known the place was messed up given we were sitting for such a long time with nothing in front of us and the place was mostly empty. One server came and took our order. She seemed competent but then the food never showed up and we never saw her again. So when another server popped by and asked how things were going, we said we were missing our salads and our soup. When the salads finally showed up, there was dressing on them that should have been on the side and the soup which should’ve come first came at the same time as the salads. Rather than wait longer to have them re make the salads the way we ordered them, we just gave up and ate them. Too bad the service was off as the food was actually pretty good when it finally came. Will I go back? Probably not…unless I have a lot of time to kill.

Claim Jumper is dependable for service, menu, ambiance. I liked that the other night, our server gave us a carafe of extra iced tea and made sure our glasses were full and we had everything we needed. While they’re fried and certainly not for the health conscious, the fried zucchini and the onion rings are excellent. Not greasy, Parmesan is evident, vegetables are crisp and hearty. Salads, even the side salad for an entrée are ample and include fresh mushrooms — a very nice addition. The tri-tip was perfectly medium/medium rare, with tasty mashed potatoes and a nice array of roasted vegetables — enough to take home for another meal. We were stuffed beyond recognition but split a gratis(!) red velvet cupcake with a candle, to celebrate a friends birthday. Portions are large, quality is definitely above average, service is friendly and attentive and the check isn’t something that has you crying from sticker shock. With all that, Claim Jumper is a good place to be with friends or family!

I am slightly surprised at Claim Jumper’s 3 average star rating! My experience was a really good one! I was pretty surprised to see that during the lunch hour this place wasn’t completely packed. My co-worker and I walked in, was seated promptly, and our waiter was to our table within minutes of that. Overall, the waiter could have been by a few more times to check on us, especially because it was a lunch hour and we didn’t have all afternoon to be there. The food was really good! The free bread was super warm and cheesy when it came to our table. One thing that threw me off was the lack of butter that came with the bread or was on the table. I ordered a stuffed baked potato, which had Cajun chicken inside with veggies. I enjoyed it; the potato was cooked really well and the chicken and veggies were seasoned nicely. They say everything is made from scratch in house. I would have to go back a few times to verify that. ;)

The worst part about going to Claim Jumper is the horrendous task of trying to decide what to get from a menu packed so full of deliciousness it’s practically bursting apart at the pages. My wife and I poured over the menu for about twice as long as normal people do because we just couldn’t pick. And so what’d we end up having? We BOTH ordered the drunken chicken, which was plentiful and delicious. Could we have shared? NO. It was that good. Get your own. Service was great, prices are fair and I’ll definitely be back.

I was introduced to this restaurant by some of my Divas friends meeting for lunchee-lunch. Large restaurant and good selection of menu items. One of my friends recommended the Beef Ribs to me so I said I would try them. Can we say Brontosaurus Bones!!! My goodness, the plate must have weighed 20 pounds for what they brought out. Not only alot of meaty, ribs but they were tender and tasty. A memorable moment when they brought those out. Was disappointed on the dessert — red velvet cupcake. Don’t waste your $ on that, choose another dessert. I’ll be back Claim Jumper!

Large beautiful bar area. Open and didn’t feel cramped Bartender was my waiter and didn’t feel like he had a robot response saying the same rehearsed line… He took his time to explain the menu in full detail like he was a member on Unilocal! The drawback although when we first set it was only two others in the bar area. When we left it was about 30 and the bartender basically got slammed despite two waiters eventual coming over in the area. after waiting 10 min I had to walk up to the bar and ask for the bill and containers. I knew he wanted to come back over just had to many drink orders. Food…drops mic… comes back. WHY?!? I came during happy hour so basically was looking for bar food and drinks. bartender said they had $ 5 margaritas. Asked him does it come with any flavor. and although he said No… he said he would add whatever I wanted. COOL! I got cranberry ritta and my friend got raspberry ritta… tasted like 1 part tequila 3 parts lime juice and a bunch of ice. The coconut shrimp were HARD!(It reminded me to make a dentist appointment hard) the slaw that came with it was wonderful. Didn’t think much of the calamari…(I might give up fried calamari all together and only get it if its grilled seems like most places just basically over bread/fry them) the Irish nachos(basically semi loaded potato fries.) they were good but even McDonald’s make good fires if they are hot so can’t really give points there. Onion rings were nice and crisp, but don’t white castle make hot… never mind… At this point I’m full but extremely disappointed and didn’t want to leave without trying at least one of the main dishes because I really wanted to try SOMETHING unique and really like it because it’s hard for me to see myself ever coming back at this point. I got the bow tie pasta and my friend gets the street tacos(fish) I’m a BIG pasta fan, but didn’t like my pasta. The pasta sauce felt more like a paste. The street tacos loved them, but not enough for me try claim jumper again. . Plain and simple I would have enjoyed my meal more if I had just gone across the street to TGIF and got the endless apps and some pasta and whatever their daily drink was.

I have been to this establishment many times and I am yet to have a bad experience. There is one negative that I will mention in a bit, but the rest is all good news. Ambiance is awesome, large fireplace with semi dim lighting, but bright enough to read the menu. Great for groups or an intimate date. Bathrooms are great. Large stalls with coat hooks and individual doors. A majority of their food is made from scratch. Which means it doesn’t come out of a box! This makes for consistently tasty food that is always fresh and prepared on order. Service was awesome. Today we had james a server from California originally. He knew a lot about the menu and was helpful in helping with our questions. The only negative is parking. It is never a good situation and this place should consider utilizing a valet. It does get busy at times. Keep it up claim jumper!
