Dr Christine Solans is very unprofessional and being a new graduate, it shows with her LACK of professionalism, empathy, and communication skills. As a new patient for annual physical, she DID NOT do the entire physical and billed the insurance, she refused to complete the appointment with my annual gyno that was scheduled with my physical. Dr Solans spoke down to me going over general questions, conversation on first time visit. I felt uncomfortable with her tone and actions towards me directly. When I asked her about this, she became very dismissive, uncaring and then refused to do the entire visit scheduled. I have never felt so disrespected, discriminated against and humiliated by any doctor ever.

Run! This Group is all about the money. My Blue Cross Blue Shield has had to call them and advise my coverage. Forget about co-​pays because even if you pay them its added to your bill and you can pay them again But if you dont pay right away (since in your mind you paid at the Dr office) you will be sent to a collections agency and if your bill remains in default you will be refused the right to medical care. Its all about the money for this group. Do not go there. They have good Drs. but the financial aspect is the priority. Their billing team is arrogant and you MUST prove you paid at the office. They found one payment they billed but the other is on me. So to my bank i go. This place is a mess. My debit card was shut off because the girl at the office did a «soft swipe» too many times. So i paid with plastic. Tell your friends… this place is a mess financially. They are not about medical care.

I go to Dupage County Medical group in Joliet. Dr. Stefan Nemeth out of the blue decided he wasn’t going to fill the Tramadol I have been taking 4 times a day for at least 5 years. He said I needed to go to a pain clinic, I don’t have a problem with that, I called the Dr. his nurse told me to call, but he is leaving the practice he is in and going to DCM, so he’s not taking any patients until 1/​8, which is when I made my appointment for. How does a so called doctor purposely make someone go thru withdrawals?

My experiences at DMG have been mostly positive. They have a MyChart login page, on which you can schedule appointments, ask questions, etc. I found this tool quite handy throughout my almost 3 years as a patient there. My physician was Dr. Michael Miller, who was just fine. Not outstanding, not terrible… just fine. The only issue I ever had with DMG was when they attempted an automated check-​in, asking for money right away. It just so happened on that particular visit, which was a follow up, I didn’t need to pay for it. Due to the automated check-​in, I paid my co-​pay even though I didn’t owe one for the visit. The office staff were very apologetic but were not able to reimburse me right away. I received the reimbursement in a timely manner though; office staff had always been friendly and helpful.
It was really convenient to have the lab upstairs; I was due for routine labs to check Vitamin D levels etc. I had to make an appointment, but there was not much of a wait. I was in and out of the building in less than 15 minutes.

First there isn’t an option for «0» stars. One star for DuPage medical is more than they deserve.
My son was injured playing baseball last year and again this year. He should have been given a referral to physical therapy last year and wasn’t which is poor medical care on DMG part. Finally this year after his second injury (keep in mind he has had ongoing pain since the initial injury) the doctor gave us an order/​prescription for Athletico physical therapy. However, the referral was never sent to Athletico or our insurance company. Their customer service department sat on the request for 9 days than decided (keep in mind the customer service department is ran by people with high school degrees that DIDN’T go to medical school) they decide that my son can only have therapy at their PT department.
DMG PT department has numerous complaints and is mediocre at best. The Athletico PT who did an evaluation of my son, the therapist specialized in pitching injuries. DMG DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY.
Another incident is I was misdiagnosed and given an antibiotic for a wrong condition, by the only physician that had appointments available. When I got deathly ill and was able to actually see my physician she pulled me off the wrong antibiotic and put me on the correct medication.
There are a handful of decent doctors at DMG — who should leave and go into private practice in my opinion. Most of the other physicians give incorrect diagnosis’s and the poor care of trying to get patients back to normal is pathetic.
DMG is trying to monopolize medical treatment in DuPage County this needs to stop. Please write Senator Tom Cullerton if you are in agreement. DMG is violating patients personal rights under HIPPA in addition they are violating many rights under the laws. Something needs to change.

The office itself is lovely. It’s always clean and well kept without ever being too busy or noisy. The doctors themselves in the group are outstanding and all their associates are as well from the nurses to patient registration to the upstairs lab people.
I always pay my bill on time and the day of… To avoid any mounting fees. I mean with 20 – 30 $ co-​pays how can one not pay the day of. At 50 $ a visit perhaps a tab may be needed. The wait time is sometimes a pain in the butt being once a full hour… But that was over a year ago. Ease of schedule is a plus.

The best thing about DMG is the convenience of their business. They are a one stop shop with x-​rays, lab, etc. So if you need any tests you don’t have to go anywhere usually. They have modern facilities and a lot of staff. The wait time is always longer than what you want but the care is good and that is what matters most. I have been going to a few of their locations for many years. I will keep going there regardless of whether my insurance covers them or not. So far it has.
Their doctors are all good from what I have seen. My wife has doctors there as well. Yes, I am a fan.

I take my children to see Dr. Pollack. I am extremely pleased with everything. The reception staff and nurses are great! There is little to no wait time. Scheduling appointments is easy, and any calls I make with questions for the nurses or docs are returned promptly. Dr. Pollack has been great to my children. I hope I never have to find a new pediatrician!

Just received a $ 500 bill for 2 weeks of physical therapy. My bill consists of mysterious «education» charges of which I was never made aware. This bill seems so excessive to me — it’s because of organizations like this that we’re in the healthcare crisis that we’re in. Thanks so much DuPage Medical Group — I will never be attending your pt department again and will strongly discourage others from going.

I have had Dr. Dungan since I was 2 years old. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I don’t mind having to book my check ups so ahead of time, bc I know he is a busy man. However when you are really sick he is able to make room to see you. He does not just have good bedside manner, he truly cares about his patients.

Dr. Michael A Miller in particular and this practice in general are unbelievably rude and dangerously incompetent.
Dr. Miller made insulting and disparaging comments about my younger son’s weight, and gave him a totally inappropriate referral without reviewing ANY medical records.
We moved to Milwaukee and needed two weeks of a very low-​risk prescription medication for our other son, and this doctor and the practice refused to help in any way, including giving us a local referral, a short-​term refill, or an OTC alternative.
They indirectly accused us of being drug addicts or attempting to do something illegal. This person should not be practicing medicine, and this practice should be closed. We get better customer service from Comcast, which I would not have thought was possible.

I had a great experience with Joanne, one of the phlebotomists, at the lab in this Lombard location. I had to go in for a 3-​hour gestational diabetes test which requires 12 hours of fasting (not exactly easy for a 7 month pregnant lady!), 4 blood draws and 3 hours of waiting. All of which can make for a very unpleasant visit, but I was so pleased with Joanne’s service. She was sympathetic to my plight, super friendly and even used a smaller than normal needle to do each of my blood draws since I had to have 4 draws over the course of the 3 hours I was there. She had such a smooth touch for drawing the blood that I barely noticed when she would insert the needle. She was fabulous and although you don’t get to choose who does your lab work when you are there, I would highly recommend her!

This review is about the DuPage Medical group answering service.
On Saturday, 5÷31÷14, I called the Medical group telephone number to gather information about scheduling an MRI. The offices were closed and the answering service responded in a timely manner. In the middle of our conversation the answering service employee, without notice, abruptly placed me on hold. After an unreasonable wait, she returned. I asked for an explanation and was told, essentially, that she was busy. When I asked for her name, there was silence and she would not respond, forcing me to end the call. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional conduct. I am gravely disappointed, because it does not reflect the quality of care and customer service I’ve experienced with my physician for some twenty years. As usual in situations like this, nothing will be done about this employee’s rudeness.

My experiences with DuPage Medical Group — Lombard have been good ones. I deal primarily with the Asthma & Allergy and Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, & Throat) group at this location: Dr. Thomas J. Van Osdol and Dr. Feodor Ung in particular.
Though I don’t like slogging through the DMG automated phone system each time I must call, once I do reach a person my inquiry or request is handled swiftly. I have no problems reaching any of my doctors or their staff or receiving a prompt reply from them. I am usually able to schedule an appointment quickly when one is necessary.
Face to face, all the staff at the Lombard location are personable, patient, cheerful, and efficient — they are never sour or impatient — from the receptionist in the lobby to the nurses and techs.
I also have had good experiences with the diagnostic imaging and lab staff at this facility. Everyone has been pleasant, patient, professional and friendly.
I never have to wait very long whether for an appointment, an allergy injection, or a test. Most of the time this place runs like clockwork.
The DMG Lombard facility is fairly new. It’s easy to get to on Highland Ave. and is located in a residential area. There is plenty of parking. The building is bright and full of natural light and makes coming to see a doctor less dreary. It’s located very near a Walgreens and an Osco should you have a prescription to fill.
One of the best things about having several doctors within the DuPage Medical Group is the ease at which your information is shared among them. Everyone has the same information which means you don’t have to repeat yourself, or track down and hand deliver lab results, and that mistakes due to omission of information are less likely to be made. All your docs are on the same page.

Awful.
I was referred to see a podiatrist in this office. I went to see her twice, both times she was 45 minutes late and unapologetic. On the second occasion she thought I was there to schedule a surgery. She clearly lost interest in me when she found that I was not there to schedule the surgery but to talk about an additional problem. When I asked about the surgery she wouldn’t really explain this surgery to me until I committed to it. I’m a runner and a cyclist and even if I wasn’t, the idea of someone cutting into the bone in my foot is a bit scary.
After a very brief explanation of the new problem she listed off several possible treatments and told me to pick one. As the doctor, shouldn’t she recommend one? She was very rude and impatient and condescending. I picked orthotics and she told me she was going to get some over-​the-​counter ones I could try for now and never came back. She sent the nurse in instead. She spent less than 10 minutes with me.
I was also given a 3 page instruction sheet on how to find out if my insurance company would cover custom orthotics. Shouldn’t the office be able to tell me? Such awful service here.
When I called my doctor, who is located in the Hinsdale office, and said I wanted a second opinion from a doctor outside their practice it turned into a fiasco. I finally got the referral — which they really gave me a hard time about because I wanted to see an outside doc. That doc doesn’t think I need surgery, at least not yet, and actually offered some helpful suggestions. I’m not a fan and I think I’ll be looking for a new doc very soon.

I had gone to the Elmhurst location to get a throat infection see to, immediately my doctor got me all set up to see their specialist, Dr. Ung, in Lombard. And I cannot be more thankful.
For one, Dr. Ung and Lucy the nurse made me feel as comfortable as possible, and even had me laughing. They ensured that I understood everything that was happening and what they were going to do. Dr. Ung and Lucy were a great pair and helped me through my simple procedure. Even though I was over-​emotional and began crying Lucy and Dr. Ung kept happy faces and allowed me to pause and regain my composure.
I am already feeling vastly better, greatly in part to the wonderful job Dr. Ung and Lucy did. I will most certainly keep coming back to DuPage Medical, especially if all of their staff is as kind as everyone who helped me today.

The DuPage Medical Group is a solid network that I continue to rely on despite moving more than a half-​hour away.
As the daughter of a mother who is a Registered Nurse and a father who has several ailments, I have grown up with the unique understanding of how the medical system works. I can recognize quality health care services based on these two perspectives.
For the past four years, I have visited one specific doctor annually for physicals based on a recommendation from a friend, but I have honestly been through the gamut of other doctors here because I tend to get sick often in my line of work (teaching high school students). I have experienced nothing but professionalism and friendly bedside manner. Not to mention, I always have the opportunity to meet with doctors here, not just the physician’s assistants or nurses (as was common case at the university clinic I visited during my years on a college campus).
In my past experiences at other clinics and private practices, I have had unnecessarily long wait times for a variety of reasons (poor record keeping, lack of time management, too much compliance to tardy patrons). However, at DMG I have always been able to get in and out quickly. Appointments start on time and end within an appropriate time frame.
And as far as setting up appointments, obtaining health records, etc. goes, the receptionists are helpful and readily available to assist. Although the phone line may have a cumbersome list of options, it makes the whole process more efficient by targeting specific types of questions. I rarely have to wait on the phone to talk to the appropriate person for whatever need I have.
The building itself is clean, modern and organized. There is plenty of signage to clearly delineate where to go for billing purposes, registration, etc. And all facilities seemed to be consistently maintained and sanitized. Plus, it helps to have floor to ceiling windows to bring in a lot of sunlight.
If you’re new to the area, I highly suggest signing on with the DuPage Medical Group.

This review is only for the services that Dr. Ung in ENT provided me when I was going through chronic sinus issues in 2007 and 2008. He helped me so much and performed surgery that helped me breathe. Unfortunately, my sinus issues have come back a bit and I was warned about that and that is of course at no fault of Dr. Ung. I have another appointment with him later this month and cannot wait to see him so he can help me again. I highly suggest those of you with sinus allergies and are miserable as I once was to make an appointment with him stat. He’s the best around with certificates, awards and a stellar educational background to back him up.

I made this appointment a month ago. I’m not sick, I just needed a physical/​girl-​parts check up, and a new doctor. There I go wanting my doctor to be nearby.
I was looking for a female doc which may have been part of the problem, but I had no idea it would be quite so difficult — took me three tries to find the lone female doc who was taking new adult patients: Dr. Elizabeth Smith.
Anyway. I’ve been to other DMG offices, and while I’ve had a few billing snafus here and there, the staff has largely been helpful and the doctors good. And it means they have all of my medical history available, which is definitely helpful.
The building is big and modern and shiny. I like it. Plenty of signage and helpful people to direct you where to go.
The nicest part, though, was that I didn’t have to wait for anything. At my old doctor’s office, I often waited 10 – 15 minutes to be seen, then another 15 – 20 minutes for the doctor, so the whole thing took way too long. Here, the PA called me right away, ran through my history and any complaints, and then I only waited a minute or two for the actual doctor. Dr. Smith was very friendly, knowledgeable, offered some advice but didn’t pressure me or harass me about anything.
All in all I felt well taken care of, although it was certainly efficient. No time was wasted but I felt like if I had any questions, they were more than happy to take the time and answer.
Also good: they have their own lab on the second floor, so if you need bloodwork it’s very convenient. However I did not fast — they should really recommend this if you are coming in for a physical, it didn’t occur to me – so I’ll have to return for that part.

We’re here for an mri on joeys knee and the receptionist gets an attitude about not having an order and then not having our old xrays with us. We were told we didn’t need any of that when we made the appointment. Then she literally interrupted me to tell me to have a seat. Come on people. Most of the people coming through here are pretty stressed about their health. Try some good bedside manner.

So, I had been trying to call the number on the doctor’s card for over a week. I finally drove over there to get what I would need and when I mentioned the phone problem, they «Oh, that’s not us.»
The number on the card is the number I gave to the physician to whom I had been referred. They couldn’t get through either.
I finally checked the general web site and THE PHONE NUMBER PRINTED ON THE DOCTOR’S CARD WAS INCORRECT.
I called to notify the office and they knew about the problem. They tried to get all the wrong cards out of circulation and the doctor was aware of the problem.
Not once did I hear «sorry for the inconvenience» or «we will continue to check for faulty cards», just that they knew about it.
OMG ~ whoever hires these people needs to realize that the QUALITY of customer service is in the toilet.
Maybe if we all complain to our physicians they might know the appropriate channels to make it ALL work.
