After 40 years, I, nor anyone in my family will get a haircut here again! I found out it was managed buy drug-​using, low-​life exconvicts. If you decide to let your wife or daughter go there, beware. The philandering hairstylist will DO more than just her hair!
Not recommended.

Never knew what a good haircut was till I went to eastgate and got a hair cut from chad. One of the best cuts I have ever had! I’m telling all my friends about east gate barber shop.

I’ve now had my haircut here three times, and I cannot recommend Larry strongly enough. Ask for him by name. I’ve shaved my beard, and my fresh haircut looks good right away. Usually it takes a few days for a haircut to look natural, not in this case. Larry takes walk ins weds-​fri, but is appointment only on sat. I made a 1030 appointment, arrived at 1020, and was done by 1035(including neck and eyebrows). Larry gets the fifth star for effectively preventing ANY hair from falling down into my collar. No itchy neck. That’s a first for me. I will be back.
Also, don’t fear for a lack of parking in their busy lot. They effectively reserve several spots for the barber shop right in front of their door.

I found this gem of a shop when my wife was going for her driving license. Not sure how I missed it all these years. I’ve always been going to a barber in downtown Chicago. But was looking or something in the burbs. I really enjoy going to a traditional barber and getting a real haircut. Went here a couple of weeks ago, and again recently. Its a small shop and there are only two guys, Frank and Larry. My guy is Frank. Always does a wonderful job. I believe the Price is fair. $ 17 + tip.
Try these guys out. I don’t believe you will be disappointed.

Just went here for the first time the other day, and I have to say I’m quite pleased with the haircut I got. Larry was professional, offered some suggestions as to how to do the cut (which I went with, but had no pressure to do so), and had me in and out in 20 minutes.
The space itself is clean and serviceable — and I think it’s the first time I’ve gotten a haircut in an «old school» barber chair.
On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. I think I’ve found my new go-​to place!
