I have shopped at the York Town Center store since I was pregnant with my 5.5 year old. I used to love Gymboree and I did not shop anywhere else for clothes. Sales attendants had always been extremely nice and helpful until 4÷13÷13 when I asked Vicky to put some items on hold for me and ring them up to know how much the total was going to be so I could let my husband know and then come back to purchase the items. Upon hearing this request(which in the past attendants were always happy to do), she said, literally, while rolling her eyes and puffing, «Well, that’s kind of ridiculuous.» When I said, «excuse me?» She said, «I don’t know why you want me to do that but whatever.» I walked out of the store and haven’t come back since. I am not planning on coming back ever to this Gymboree after this bad experience. If Vicky doesn’t like dealing with the public she should find a different type of job. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because of the quality of the clothes and because of all the good experiences I had before this one.

Pricing @ gymboree may seem outrageous for babies and toddlers, but u have to realize the store functions on the sale mentality. No one should be buying anything at regular price. Their«New lines» get marked down after a few weeks and they regularly have super sales like everything in the store is $ 1299OR under. Their big red balloon sale is my favorite because I can buy clearance items as cheap as $ 3 for onesies or shirts for a few seasons ahead. Barbara was right on one account, the clothes are good quality and as hand me downs, they look New. I’ve seen parents I sit for buy for the older child and a year or two later the next kid is wearing it maybe with an updated shirt or pants or what not. Their sales associates are super, especially Catherine. She’s knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. I really recommend gymboree, but only the one in Yorktown mall. The Oakbrook store is the size of a broom closet and they never have a full range is sizes. The Wheaton store in Danada had a snooty staff last time I went shopping for my nephew. try them out. sign up on their site for your free coupon 20% off your purchase and go ye therefore and find quality clothes on sale to buy :)

Ditto what the previous Unilocaler said. I am sorry but no 9-month-old should have a $ 34 sweater. Even if the quality is good, it can only be used for a short time before Baby outgrows it.
