Don’t waste your time or money going to this horrible place for halal chicken especially.
They have very rude staff, have an extra charge for «sides that are supposed to come in a meal.» They should seriously be coached for the «customer service» they claim to be giving at this location. DONT bother.

The amazing thing about this place is that it has halal chicken which is awesome for people who eat kosher meat or Zabiha. Chicken is as always very tasty & people are nice.

Terrible management. I ordered a couple of those double downs, where the chicken is the bread. I specifically ordered grilled chicken and repeated myself. I was in the drive thru, when I received my order after waiting ten minutes, it was fried. I went inside and was rudely told by the manager they cannot make that sandwhich grilled. Ever other KFC does it. I screamed at the manager and stormed out, didn’t get a refund or new sandwhiches made. This place sucks, go to the Popeyes next to it! WORST MANAGER WORKING 01/​28/​2015 @ NOON, IF ANY KFC PEOPLE ARE LOOKING AT THIS. I should have called the cops.

Must try the mouth watering Spicy chicken .Your order won’t take much time… I usually go for legs and Thighs …

Staff was friendly but the bathroom was sorta gross and had no toilet paper and empty holders for the seat covers. Also I requested extra gravy on my famous bowl and got hardly any. I had to repeat my order to the girl several times before she got it down, and I was inside ordering at the counter.
And no one in the kitchen was wearing gloves which I found pretty gross as well.
On the up side the cheese curds I got from the AW side were awesome.

Horrible customer service. Never once has my order been correctly presented to me the way I ordered it. Food is decent, love the potato wedges as well as the papa burger. However, the employees otherwise need to learn some respect. I have never once given anything a bad review but this is just awful. Employees should be given a handbook on how to deal with customers as well as to see to the order the way a customer would like.

This location has the absolute worst customer service imaginable.
I stopped in yesterday to order a 6 piece dinner special, one extra order of wedges, and a 10 piece chicken bites. The total came to about $ 21. Gave the young lady my debit card and she gave me a receipt.
Footnote: I think the extra 39 cent charge for using a debit card is ridiculous and needs to be taken away.
Back to the order: So after waiting for five minutes and watching the workers have their own personal conversations and laugh and giggle about stuff, one young lady comes up and tells me that it’ll be an ADDITIONAL five minutes for my wedges. Couldn’t you have told me that at the time I placed my order???
I demanded a refund for the wedges.
To further demonstrate their incompetence, when I got home I realized that the lid for the gravy for my mashed potatoes wasn’t on securely, and hence gravy all over paper bag.
Never again. Save your time, money and sanity. Go somewhere else.

Halal Recommendations and Tips:
The burgers are Halal and obviously not the bacon.
Sadly the hotdogs are not halal.
Only chicken on the bone and their one chicken sandwich.
We liked the cheeseburgers and papa burger.
Also a favorite is the chicken burger but devon/​western does it better!

This location is awful! I live in Lombard, and have given this location plenty of chances to get it right. The food is usually good, but the service is horrible. I waited about 5 minutes before somebody finally took my order in the drive thru. The person repeated my order back to me, exactly as I ordered it. when I got home, I didn’t have the potato wedges I ordered, but instead fries. I really don’t like the A&W fries, so I was disappointed. It just seems like the people who work there do not care. I am thru with going to this location, from now on, I’m going to location in Glen Ellyn, it’s a little further, but the service and atmosphere is better.

This specific KFC had HORRIBLE service a man named Jesus rudely walked away from the window when I pulled up because I kept saying my order wrong then pulled to far away from the window so backed up and fixed it. When he went to hand me a drink and tell me my total I put out my hands to grab the drink, he said «what is wrong with you» then slammed the window shut And walked away. I sat there for about 5 minutes before another man came to the window.
I personally will NEVER go back to the Lombard KFC. This is the worst costumer service I have ever had. Their employees should be more friendly and not jerks… Not much to ask. I don’t car how mad you are. I could never treat a consumer like that at my job. The other employees were fine but that does not excuse Jesus’ behavior.

When I called to order a Gameday Bucket (which they’ve been advertising for at least a couple of weeks now,) on Friday before the Super Bowl, the guy who answered didn’t seem to know what I was talking about, but I managed to place the order anyway. So I wasn’t too surprised when we went to pick it up at 4:00 Sunday that there was no record of my order. There were a lot of other people whose orders were lost, too, and everyone was complaining. We had to wait 45 miknutes! I am really mad and won’t be going here again.

Most of the reviews for this restaurant are several years old but it appears that things have not improved here. This is probably going to be way too long of a review for a fast food place but I need to vent. My review is for the drive through. After numerous visits, I am ready to give up. They just can’t get a simple order right. Three times, I’ve gotten home and the soda has been flat or completely tasteless! Time to reload the cartridges, guys.
Last night before leaving the parking lot, I tasted the soda. It was fine. We checked the rest of the order. Nope, not fine. We ordered cole slaw instead of potato wedges for one of the dinners. We checked our receipt to confirm. Well, there was no indication of cole slaw or potato wedges, there was just a line item that said ‘Lime’. Lime? Where’d that come from?
We had to go back through the drive through and they gave us our small order of cole slaw. The little container was half filled with coleslaw, yet the other container of coleslaw in our bag was filled to the top. Poor quality control.
The last 2 times, the some of breading on the thigh piece and the breast piece was gone. That’s the best part of the chicken. Again, an indication of poor quality control.

Once in a while, you get an inexplicable craving. You have trouble deciding which joint to hit up. Perhaps contemplate «road loading» at a number of places to get just what you want.
RELAX:
The bigwigs at Yum! Brands know how you feel in these predicaments, so they took the guess (and gas) work out of your strange cravings and created a number of Yum! Combo joints.
For the «fried chicken washed down with root beer float» lover in you– they managed a KFC-A&W onto the belly bustin’ strip of chains of Roosevelt Rd.
Need a pick up? Skip the drive through in most situations.
Both A&W and Diet A&W on tap.
Cool jukebox and some friendly cashiers.
KFC is controversial so I’m not going to say ITS GOOD AS IT GETS– Cause it AINT!
If you’re bumming around Lombard, get a sweet root beer float here.

Not good. Burgers are inferior to pretty much every other fast food burger I’ve had and even the fried cheese curds which to me should be a no-​brainer in deliciousness were blah. I was so excited to run across this place but left disappointed and disgusted.
Edit 6÷19÷12 — I’m reading this review again asking myself why I’d talk about burgers at a KFC when I realized they must have shut down the A&W portion of this location. That is what I reviewed lest you think I’m bonkers. :)

Good food, clean restaurant.

I was planning on just giving 1 star, but because the food is okay, I added an extra one.
My experience here was just horrendous. I mean, you don’t really expect much from a fast food joint, but I just had to share what happened to me.
I get up to the counter and the employee (which I should mention is African American) asked to take my order. I tell him what I want, and he asks, «Do you want rice?» I’m thinking that maybe I heard wrong, so I asked him to repeat what he said. «Do you want rice?» I’m thinking that maybe he’s joking, so I pass it off as nothing, and just say, «No, I would like the mashed potatoes.» As I’m walking off, I hear mumbling, like mocking the Chinese language or something. By this time I’m offended. I’m a pretty passive person, so I didn’t really say anything. But as soon as my friend finished ordering, she said the same thing happened to her. So we were definitely pissed. We asked to see the manager, and guess what? He comes and asks what is wrong, since he is the assistant manager. We ask to see the MANAGER, and he comes, and we tell him what happened. What did we get out of it? A forced apology. I wasn’t expecting him to get fired or anything, but just knowing that people are still so ignorant out there.
Needless to say, I do not want to see that person again, and this is one KFC I will not frequent any longer.

Why, oh why would someone give a A & W a 5 star you ask??? The papa burger, that is why!!!

Root beer and burgers! You have to stop over at this A & W for their great food. This place is really well kept and the service is always fast and friendly. They also have a KFC in here as well… so there’s always an option of chicken!
