Greasy Italian beef… when say dip it… they mean DIPIT.(Do not attempt to eat it while driving unless you want grease all over your car.) Fries are delicious and Iced Tea refereshing. A little pricey, with tip I spent $ 10 but they give you a generous portion. I will return.

This place is small and dumpy. The gyros they give is about half of what I would get in other places. The fries were cold and mushy. The pop was mostly ice. This place is just one of the worse places around and is a disgrace to gyro places.

Stopped in for a Hot Dog & Fries. Fries were good — I asked for them well done. Hot Dog — bun not steamed, hot dog small and mushy — no crunch. Won’t go back.

This isn’t the type of place that you go to if you want«white glove» service. It’s a greasy spoon, plain and simple. But it is a clean greasy spoon and they do accept credit and debit cards… which is a big plus in my book. The service was great, and the food was good too.(I had two pizza puffs and they were cooked perfectly.) It definitely took care of that craving for something greasy that you sometimes get after going to happy hour with co-workers.

Great place for a quick greasy fix. I usually order the hot dogs for my nieces and a salad for my self.

You don’t come to a place like this expecting to be wow’ed. More like, hoping to not be offended. It’s your typical Chicago hot dog joint fare — but they have a few extras — like sloppy joe’s — and they’re really friendly. Hot dogs are really good — fresh bun, good dog, fresh toppings. Restaurant is VERY clean, and prices are reasonable. I’ll add more as we go more — it’s only blocks from our house!

While running around I went looking for a place to eat. We initially went to the place across the street but they don’t accept credit and I wasn’t going to be hit with a service charge to take money out of an ATM that was«conveniently» located next to the front door. Look, I understand it costs a business money to accept credit cards but sorry, I don’t carry cash because I can easily track my transactions online. So Taste Buds it was. My initial impression when I first waked in was«This looks like every other Gyro place around… and it is clean…» My group ordered a little bit of everything off the menu: Gyro meal, Chicken Gyro, cheeseburger with a chocolate shake and two fountain drinks. I’m not a stranger to Gyros. I’ve had good, bad and everywhere in between. The Gyro meet was good, the tomatoes and onions plentiful and the cucumber sauce was what I expected. Overall the Gyro was good. Not the best that I’ve had but worth coming back for. My fiancé loved her burger and the third person in our group really enjoyed his shake and chicken gyro. I really liked the fries. They had the skin on and were very crispy. Gyro places are a dime-a-dozen but once you find that one that you like, keep going back. Having recently moved from Wheaton to Lombard I decided to find a new go-to place for my burger/gyro/hot dog needs. I’m not sure Taste Buds is it, but it is right near the top. If you already have your go-to-gyro-place already selected then you might not be impressed. However, if you open to trying a new spot out, give Taste Buds a shot.

I had the chicken gyros with fries and a drink. It was much like the olympic café sketches on the SNL’s of yesteryear. Food was ok. It was a good stop to walk to from discount tire while waiting on a tire rotation.

This review is specifically pertaining to the Hot Dogs served by this establishment. My hot dog had a bun that was unusually hard, it didn’t quite taste stale but it wasn’t soft. The condiment application was a bit too heavy on the mustard. Considering the price(and their inexpensive but still sub-par competitor across the street) if you’re looking for a hot dog on Roosevelt Road in Lombard, you have better options.
