Great spot. Can get a little cramped, but still awesome. The food is actually pretty good. Even if you don’t sing karaōke you can still have a blast just hanging out. I will admit, sometimes the singing in the main area can be a bit much, but that’s the nature of this place. It sucks when there is a good game on and then the tv gets taken over by karaōke. But like I said, that’s the nature of this place.

Fun place. I don’t sing, only hang at the bar but people are friendly, beer is good and some of the small bites aren’t bad. Feels like a neighborhood bar/mixed crowd

Not that great a sushi spot. Maybe we came at the wrong time but the quality was sub-par, the service was sub-par and their variety of sushi wasn’t all that impressive. They ran out of spicy tuna and rice while we were there. Cool spot to hang out and sing karaōke, not that great if you’re looking for the best sushi in Lomita, or on Lomita.

Never noticed this karaōke spot in Lomita before. You can get a room or sing at the bar. I think the room is $ 5 per hour/person. At the bar it’s $ 1.50/song. I feel bad for the people at the bar who had to hear me sing… hahahha. Get some Asahi on tap and some finger food such as wings and sushi rolls and you’re set for a fun filled night.

Cute karaōke place! I like that they pass around the microphones & song selections, so I don’t have to stand up on a stage in front of a whole bar. You just sing in your seats. A good selection of songs with funny music videos that go along with each. The carbonara is delicious & the chicken wings are good also. Good spot for a nice chill night out. The servers are always nice & attentive as well. The shochu is delicious when mixed with sweet tea & the flavored sake cocktails or even a sake flight lead to a fantastic night out every time.

I love this place. Beer goes towards the cost of karaōke which is $ 5. Unbelievable. There are about 7 rooms that fill up on weekends. If you’re a small party they may have you seated in the bar area. But hey it’s open karaōke so it’s all good! Their fries. YOUMUSTGETTHEIRFRIES. Good size wedges with good seasoning. You may need to ask for ranch. They have 3 dart machines too. The service is always good. Friendly, polite. Did I mention that I love this place?!

I love this place! It’s a Japanese bar so you can’t come here thinking you can order a gin and tonic but they do have a wide variety of Japanese cocktails. They have three beers on draft: Kirin, Asahi, and Sapporo. This place also serves food. The pizza is pretty good but I think my favorites are the fried chicken wings and fries calamari. Both are served with a wedge of lemon and it’s really tasty and perfect with beer/drinks. Servers here are always super friendly and they’re just fun people. This place also has karaōke rooms which you can reserve for parties. Also, if you order at least $ 5 of drinks per person per hour, the room charges are free! There are sometimes people also singing at the bar area. There are two astro bars. This one is serving up sushi options while the other has ramen. Overall, this place is a good place to wind down after a day of work and grab and beer and a quick snack. It can get pretty packed on weekends.

I love this place. This is the only bar I frequent and this is the only bar I’ve ever stopped by alone. Everyone is nice and the environment is extremely friendly and happy. The private karaōke rooms are affordable and if you sing at the bar everyone will support you even if you suck at singing. So for those of you that suck at singing, your confidence will be boosted, though I don’t know if that’s a good thing. I love you.

Astro has been my go to place after moving to California from NY. Drinks are cheap, serving staff are really attentive and friendly, and the food is great also! It has karaōke at the bar or you can get a room for you and your friends(as long as a room is available). You can sing for free in the room as long as you order $ 5 worth of drink per hour per person. Which is very easy to do. Also on the weekends the vibe is super chill, great crowd that all sing and even the servers will sing with you if you request it. I will continue to come here and recommend it to anyone that I know and bring all my friends here!

I came here pretty late after doing the shipwreck hike because it was pretty much the only place open around 10:45pm. We were seated right away at a table for two and the bartender brought one menu for us to share. Their menu is interesting in that it has a large variety. There were a lot of small dishes and snacks, along with pizza, pasta, rice bowls and rolls, quite an eclectic mix. They finally brought us water after 5 minutes of us looking at the menu, and by then we were already ready to order but he went back to the bar and didn’t come back to take our order for another almost 10 minutes, and they weren’t even busy so that was not excusable. I ordered the Mentaiko pasta, which is cod roe pasta, and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was really good! The pasta was al dente and coated in cod roe, but it wasn’t overwhelming. I’m not sure if there was other sauce or seasoning with it, but it tasted fresh and light, while still being very satisfying. My friend ordered the Mentaiko & Mayo roll, which was basically a California Roll with a bit of cod roe inside as well. The avocado was not ripe enough, and you could barely taste the cod roe, disappointing and would not recommend. He also got the spicy tuna rice bowl, which looked quite unappetizing to me, but he seemed to enjoy it so I guess it was good. Overall, food was surprisingly quite nice, but service could use some work.

I often go to Astro since it is very family like and I can relax. Customers and bar tenders are very friendly and easily make friends there. It is Japanese Karaōke place and they have good Japanese foods too, so if you want to eat Japanese Sushi rolls or Pastas, drinks, it is very good place to go. Space is not very big, so they will welcome you like family, and there is 3 Karaōke Box(rooms) back side of the bar, so you can go there with friends.(you can make appointment for new year party or Christmas party too with great deals) If you order drinks, Box karaōke will be very cheap like $ 5 per hr. (Other Karaōke Place is usually $ 25 per hr) You can sing Japanese songs, English songs, Chinese Songs, and Korean songs. I made some new friends there and it is really good to place to go for foods and chat with friends! I hope you will enjoy soon!

Everything I ordered was good. The pizza, sushi, some one even ordered the albacore carpaccio. All of it was good. The reason for my 3 stars was the service. Too long to get water, the food came at different times and when the bill came no one ever came to pick it up.

Came here for the first time cause my bf wanted to try it. The food here is amazing! We ordered the tofu and chicken wings appetizers. They were both good with full of flavors. Ordered a red Dragon roll which was delicious. It was sweet and spicy with light battered shrimp. For entrée we tried the mushroom spaghetti, it was just light and perfect. The server recommend the jello sparkling wine which was different but so good. Definitely will come back for more. :)

We came here on the suggestion of one of the bartenders from Astro 2. At first, we wondered if we were in the wrong place, since it is so small and cozy. You’d never believe they have four booths in the back for karaōke. We came on a Thursday and all the booths were full. So we sat at the bar for awhile, ordering drinks and some spicy tuna sushi. The bartender made the sushi right there, and it was very good! I got some sake and it was over-poured into the masu(outer box), as a sign of goodwill. Both bartenders were very kind and welcoming. Karaōke is also available at the front bar, but we weren’t about to disturb the people who had come in to eat dinner. Maybe next time if we’re feeling saucy, we can serenade them. As with Astro 2, the karaōke is included provided you spend $ 5 or more in drinks per person/hour. The karaōke booth appeared to have more songs than were available at the bar. There’s a summon button in the room(very helpful), and we had such a good time singing and drinking we stayed until they closed. I would definitely come back again.
