The firehouse bar has a awful rude bartender name Marie to busy gossiping and talking bad about other women and throwing herself at boys young enough to be her son then doing her job. I waited a long time for my beer and forget getting a refill. I will not go back

This is a neighborhood bar. My work cronies and I went here for a recent happy hour. Please note that the firehouse happy hour starts at five. We were not there during that time, but the beer prices were still reasonable. We were able to get a bucket with ice and five Coronas for $ 20. What prompted us to notice this bar is the clever saying drawn on the chalkboard sitting outside the front door. We see it when we eat lunch at nearby Fantastic Café. We will be planning another happy hour here in the future.

This place was pretty dead when I went there. I don’t mind dive bars but seeing the junkie looking couple with their hands in each other pants grinding and making out against one of the pool tables was a real turn-off.

Typical dive bar. I’ve been going here for years and this place has definitely seen it’s better days. If you want to be around junkies, homeless people and wanna be gangsters, this place is for you. Drinks are cheap, crowd is hit or miss, place is kind of ran down, and they don’t serve liquor. Above was my old post. I’ve started going back here and I can honestly say they’ve cleaned up. The crowd is going back to a more chill, less trashy type group of people which is for the good. Security got tighter. They still don’t serve liquor. I believe they have 3 pool tables. They have live DJs and karaōke at times. I will give them a star bump up to 3.

Since I wrote my last review I’ve been to Firehouse at least another 200 times. (Let’s see…365 days in a year…10 months since I wrote that last review… seems legit) Okay I might be exaggerating a tad, but I do come here A LOT! Sometimes every day for a week. Again, morning/afternoon crowd is the best! Great stories, jukebox selections and great conversations! Don’t worry, you’ll be apart of them too! I also gave a shout out to Rebekah in my last review, and for good reason! However, now that I’ve been there so many times it’s become very clear that every bar tender there is just EPIC. Always the best attitude, they remember your drinks, they get involved with conversation… they treat you like you’re in their home. Other bars don’t do that. Sure you can find great service at a bar, but I don’t feel like I’m going to a bar at the firehouse. I feel like I’m going to a friends house. So seriously, come on in. Oh, and what everyone was really looking for in my review: Yes, the prices are low! P.S: You can find me at the Dart Board. It’s by the jukebox. Across from the Pool Tables. Under all of the HDTV’s that they have playing sports. Diagonal from the free snacks you get.(while supplies last)

A very nice neighborhood bar with many regulars who warmly welcome newcomers. Many TV’s to watch your favorite team with pool tables and dart boards. Great music on the weekend too.

Cool Dive bar. The bar /seating is a little low. There’s 2 pool tables that don’t seem to have any intimidating people playing. $ 10 minimum to charge your card. There might be a full bar but it doesn’t seem like it. I just had beer. There was a live band playing and plenty of old-looking locals in the area. An outdoor patio has plenty of seating and is nice to unwind out back. Just be careful if you sit right in front of the door; people are prone to kicking the shit out of the door to open it. Sort of makes these old folk feel like they’re in an old western movie.

Shout out to Jennifer, my fave karaōke host! She can rap, sing, and make you feel like you’re singing isn’t unleashing too much ugliness into the world. The bar itself is divey: beer and wine only(and a kickass happy hour). What they use to make mixed drinks aren’t hard liquor so they taste odd. Old people that try to get«friendly» with you, but usually harmless. Large smoking patio. Lotsa parking all around. A newfangled digital jukebox. Good stuff but I’m partial to dives.

Great little local Dive-bar, two pull tables and a smoking patio. Everyone knows everyone there they don’t call it the ‘Mouth-bay’ for nothing. Full bar and cheap drinks, they also have a list of Micro-micro brews that are a little pricey but rare, just ask to see it they don’t advertisie it. They have a good juke box and usually have DJ’s and bands there. I was a regular and spent many a night there.

Is there anything at the corporate-sanitized Crossroads that even qualifies as a bar? With so much traffic on Crenshaw, some people never drive down Narbonne to see what the little village of Lomita has to offer. One of its best places is the Firehouse, a great little neighborhood dive bar to go and have a beer. Prices are very good. I’ve been here during happy hour. The food wasn’t much to speak of. Good quarter-fed bar-short pool tables. If you like beer and like to socialize and live within walking distance, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Friendly folks and bartenders… just like Lomita!

Great little beer bar in Lomita. Nice variety of domestics and imports on tap and in bottles. Great bartenders and friendly local patrons. New owner has kept up the tradition of affordable prices. They do have a low proof vodka and tequila but I haven’t tried it. «High Rollers» menu features some outstanding beers and drinks.

This place RULES. 1). They have the coldest beer anywhere. 2). They even have two of their own microbrews in house. The Firehouse«Lomita Lager» and a Hefeweizen 3). The prices are cheap. 3). They have smoking hot bartenders. 4). They never charge a cover. 5). They have a couple of great pool tables and it’s only 50 cents a game 6). The have been booking some amazing local entertainment. Check out the Reggae party on Saturday nights. 7). They have one of those internet jukebox thingies with every song ever made. 8). They put on a free BBQ every once in a while. I think they do it on weekends during the day. 9). This is one of the few places in LA wih no pretentious people. The crowd is totally cool. 10). This is one of the few places where you can sit outside on the patio with a beer and still smoke. If you’re looking for a cookie-cutter commercial joint — this ain’t the place for you. If you are looking for a bad-ass local place with great music and ice cold beer — check out The Firehouse. This is hands down my pick for the best dive bar in South Bay. ’nuff said.

Firehouse is a small but clean dive bar in «downtown» Lomita near the«business» district. It’s nothing special, but they have 2 decent pool tables and according to my friends, one of them is usually open. We played $.50 games for a few hours and pints of Newcastle were $ 2.75. Not bad. My friends say they will usually have snacks during happy hour, but for some reason, not that day. My biggest complaint was the music. I absolutely hate it when someone w/REALLY crappy taste puts a whole shitload of money in the juke box. I can handle an occasional country pop, girly techno, or generic rap-metal song. But NOT for 2 fucking hours! I’m guessing it’s payback for the Fantastic Café incident. Proof that God is listening.
