These people were sent by my home warranty company to check out my fridge that had stopped working. Once they were contacted, they told me they wouldn’t be able to come by for 2WEEKS! I couldn’t believe it, but had no choice so I waited… When they finally came, they diagnosed the issue within moments telling me «your fridge is dead, can’t fix it». Fine, they said they would relay this information to my home warranty company so that my coverage would get me a new fridge. However, 3WEEKSLATERTHEYSTILLHADNOTCONTACTEDMYWARRANTYFIRMTOTELLTHEMANYTHING!!! I had to call and get the firm to contact them for information. Now I’ve been 5 weeks without a fridge, during the holidays… what a load of shit. The home warranty company apologized on City Appliance’s behalf, and promised they will try to rush a replacement for me… but I am so annoyed. Really? It takes you 3 weeks to say anything about your inspection? I will never use them again.

I really wnted to like these guys since they are the local repair people, but things got dicey when I got the bill right before the guy left and I realized I had been promised a different rate by the guy who came previously. That’s frustrating for me as a customer to not know until the end that I was overcharged. Then there was a verbal argument about this with the guy who was doing the repairs. I don’t appreciate it — even though they fixed it in the end. Word to the wise — always get the paperwork to look it over before the guy gets going on the work. That way, if there are problems with the charges, it can all be fixed without holding anybody up. Appliance repair is an expensive game — parts + labor + service call charge — DANG!

first i would have given zero stars but had to put 1 to write a review. second, i don’t write reviews unless there is an extreme need too! i have had the same person come out and«fix» my stove top i have waisted many days because they only say that they will be there between 1 – 5 in the afternoon and every time they come and«fix» it they brake it more than they fixed it, or they have no idea what there doing. this time they came to replace the spark plug modular and he left in a hurry i went to see if it was working and it had the same problem the burners were still clicking and they were not igniting properly BUT… now my oven doest work… REALLY!!! and they can’t come back till Wednesday!!! i called as soon as he left and the receptionist said that he was way to far away to turn around REALLY… i called 2 minutes after you left you could not have gotten far at all!!! so now what am i supposed to do till then with no oven??? its more frustrating that the people that work at city appliance don’t care about there work they don’t fully check if everything is working properly they do the bare minimum and leave without any questions asked.

I normally don’t write reviews but for this one i had to. I give it one star if i had a choice there would be no stars. I had a stove that has been malfunctioning. So i called my insurance and they sent over City Appliance the first tech that came over diagnosed the problem and attempted to fix it and needed a part. it took about a month to get the part. When the part came in the second tech came in and replaced the part upon replacing the part he re assembled the stove and didn’t test anything before leaving. i tested it right after he left found out that the problem wasn’t fixed and the buttons on the face of the oven were malfunctioning now i called back within 2 mins and the secretary told me that he was too far out of town to turn around and we could reschedule for next week… REALLY!!! so now they came back in a week and it seems like all they did is clean out the burner i was like if thats all the problem was why couldnt that have been done the first time you came over??? and he wouldn’t have even messed up my oven he started talking about all these problems that these ovens have trying to make it seem like it wasn’t him that messed up my oven.(it was working fine before he touched it) he pressed a few buttons and turned it off and said well looks like its working fine. and he was gone! well when i went to use the oven to make dinner i pre heated the oven and it for no reason, turned off. i had to sit next to the oven and keep turning it on and when i called city appliance back to set up another apt they said that they closed out our account with the insurance so we have to start ALLOVER! meaning redoing the order paying for a new technician to come out and finish what city appliance started. i will NEVER have city appliance work on any of my appliances i will NEVER refer my friends to them SODISAPPOINTED and the secretary told me they stand behind there technicians i tried to tell her that he didn’t do a good job and when i called back when he just left he said that it was 2 hours later so he totally lied about that i called 2 mins after he left!!! and the secretary was arguing with me so she didn’t believe me she believed the tech!!! and then closes out the order knowing that the problem isn’t fixed. they pushed us out thats HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE!!! SHAMEONCITYAPPLIANCE.

Patrick & Lloyd from City Appliance are my latest heroes! They diagnosed my frozen fridge problem, got the parts under warranty, and did the job, and it was a big job! They did everything they promised and did it when they said they would. They go the extra mile to make sure the homeowner is really happy with the work and I am a FAN!!! Thanks, guys, for doing what you said you would and doing it so well!
