D’Vine! I no longer live in Lompoc but every time I visit I always stop by. This place is still amazing, the staff is attentive and I love the little upgrade they have done to the place. The meat and cheese plate is a must! But what happened to the board games?

An easy 5 stars! We were a group of 9 rowdy out-of-towners, and Jocelyn took great care of us for 3−½ hours. Highly recommend. Call ahead if you’re a large group.

I moved here this January and D’Vine is my favorite hangout spot so far. My husband & I are foodies and go out every Thursday night. We have other favorite spots, but none where we live in Santa Maria. Don’t get me wrong, Santa Maria has good quick food spots, but we haven’t found a spot we like with nice atmosphere. D’Vine has a cozy coffee shop atmosphere and a great wine & beer selection. Great prices and decent food menu. We usually split a half cheese & meat plate and the chop salad… yum. The manager is the best too. Some of the servers are kind of young, so we’ve had mixed experiences. But, in general, the staff is really nice.

On a short trip through the Santa Ynez valley, my wife and I dined early on a Friday night and very much enjoyed a happy hour glass of wine(we were allowed to sample first) and the happy hour pulled pork tacos(wonderful). We shared a chopped salad and pizza, and both were scrumptious. It seemed as though the place was packed with regulars, but nevertheless Jocelyn provided very prompt and pleasant service to us out-of-towners. I’m looking forward to returning when I’m next in the area.

This place has a really good happy hour. They had four types of wine at $ 5 per glass. We tried three different wines and liked them all. The place is divine. They have a menu of entrees that looked good. But we wanted the appetizers. We tried the lettuce wraps and it was a 7 on a 1 – 10 scale. I think there was too much sweet sauce in each prepared serving. I would have preferred to control that factor. The meat and cheese platter is highly recommended. The grapes were so fresh. Everything was good and incredible. The taste married in dance with one another and made a joyous impression on our tongues. Truly I be a little tipsy. But I will return here.

Food was good and portions great, but acoustics are horrible. You can’t enjoy your meal when the acoustics are so bad you can hear all the conversations in the room. Maybe it is fine when there is a band playing.

Very cool place to hear local music and taste our amazing local wines. They get busy on weekends so expect to wait for your food.

Nice environment, friendly staff, but the food was completely overpriced for the quality.

Artichoke which was supposedly fantastic was sub-par, the«manager» was a dick and the service was ok. Pizza was decent. Live music was really good.

Service was subpar, staff spent more time talking to each other than to customers. Wine list was not impressive. I expected more considering being in such a prime wine country location. They serve what seems to me to be unfiltered tap water. Contrarily, their pizza was very enjoyable with a very light buttery crust. Environment was also fine.

Great bartenders, the food was excellent and so was their wine selection. I heard they sometimes have live music, would definitely revisit when in the area!

What an amazing place this is! My family and I were attending a memorial service for my grandfather in Lompoc and we were looking for a place to gather and socialize with family the night before. I did my research on some the local eateries in the area, and found this little gem. Everything about this place was exactly what I was looking for; wine, good food, and enough space to accommodate our family. They have nice room in the back of the restaurant that is perfect for any sort of occasion. The staff there was so nice, welcoming, and helpful. Stephanie was our server and she was great! She managed to take on our party(15 people) and the other existing tables in the restaurant. Oliver, the bartender/shift manager was also very generous and accommodating. He was the one who took my reservation when I initially called. Both are great people, I really enjoyed their hospitality. The menu has a nice selection of wine, beer, and tasty food. It was perfect for our party and everyone was very pleased with the outcome. In addition to everything else, we had a birthday in our party too. Stephanie and Oliver were so kind to provide a complimentary dessert to my brother to celebrate his birthday! My family and I had such a wonderful experience at D’Vine and I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is in the Lompoc area. Not to mention, the restaurant is located next to some cute shops making your experience even more enjoyable. Thank you again D’Vine Wine Bar and Bistro for the wonderful experience and welcoming atmosphere!

Went here with my girlfriend and the short blonde haired waitress completely ignored us and served every table around us, who were seated much later then us. In order to get and service, I had To go to the bar and ask. What’s a bummer is this waitress has done this to us the last two times we’ve been there. Will we go back? Not sure. Will I promote this place, we go to often? I doubt it.

I enjoy wine but normally I equate wine bars with OK wine at inflated prices. D’Vine could not be further from that stereotype. They have great local wines as well as an excellent selection of craft beers. The food is limited but excellent and affordable as well. The place has a great vibe from the customers and staff and they have great live music playing several nights a week. Definitely check this place out

Love the atmosphere! I no longer need to go to the Hitching Post for the artichokes! They are very friendly and knowledgeable about their wines.

This is nice little place. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a stop. The staff is very friendly, and our service was prompt. We ordered the hummus plate and build your own pizza. Both were excellent, the hummus was really fresh. I would give it a 5, but the only problem was the appetizer hummus plate came out at the same time as the pizza. The restaurant got busy while we waited which was probably the problem, but it would have been nice to have the starter come out first instead of with the meal. The wine selection is nice and with a lot of local selections. They should have a couple of tasting flights so you can judge what you want before ordering a glass or bottle.

Wine bars are all about relationships. The food and wine must be good; the people must be great! The owners, Ed and Julie did a great job with all of the aforementioned elements. My wife and I went in on a Wednesday(New Year’s Eve) as we were passing through town on our way to Paso. We had a blast! Here’s why: 1) Ed wanted us to be totally satisfied with are wine purchase. He gave us samples of some various wines and gave us some background information to help us choose a great bottle. 2) Ed was not satisfied with the portion provided to us on an appetizer, so he went to the kitchen and served us 50% more. 3) Julie took interest in my wife and I and, even though the locals were calling for her attention, she took interest in making sure we were well-cared-for. 4) We had the opportunity to meet an eighty-eight year old frequent flyer, Andy. He blessed us with stories of Lompoc long ago. This man is a gem and should write a book. 5) The food was good… really good. It is not easy to provide an upscale service in a town in need of a facelift. Ed and Julie are the perfect surgeons to get the nips and tucks started! Perhaps when viewed through a twenty-year lens, they’re on their way to long-term success.

Went with a friend a while back and ordered a sauvignon blanc. Our server brought out a red wine. I mentioned to her«I ordered a sauvignon blanc» and she said«yes, that’s what I brought you.» I had to explain to her that the wine I ordered was actually white, and she corrected me a few times before finally accepting that she was wrong, and going back to figure out where she went wrong. I don’t know almost anything about wine myself, but I find this story pretty funny. BLANC!

Honestly, we really tried to like this place, as your food is very lovely, but we’ve gone a total of 4 times and each and every time our service has been very poor, save for one waitress there who was always attentive. As for the wine assortment, it is a little lacking, simply for the sake that many of them are not a good representation of the wines that our area of California has to offer. I have tried several of them, one of which was even served to me with some of the bottle’s cork in my wine! Our last, and perhaps final, visit was on May 3rd, when we were coming in to have your crab cake special, which was our usual meal every time we have come, as they were delicious, if a bit pricey. However, on this visit, our service was poorer than previous times. Yes, there was a large party in the back, but that does NOT mean that your servers should ignore your other customers. We would have been greatly appreciative if they might have passed by if only to tell us that they were doing their best to serve us while also helping the larger party. We had also all tried to order the crab cakes, but were told several minutes after ordering that there were only two left as ‘someone had already put an order in’ and that the three of use should ‘duke it out’ to decide who gets them. When an establishment has a special advertised, it would be nice if the servers would keep tabs on how many are left so customers are not disappointed. The crab cakes were also VERY different in quality than the ones we have had previously, which had the look of being hand made with visible crab meat and were quite savory in flavor, as was the aioli served with it. This time, not so much. I barely tasted any crab, and it seemed like it was mostly bread crumb ‘filler’ rather than the meat of our previous experiences. I really hope those ones weren’t store bought. :( Furthermore, I had ordered your soup of the day, which was delicious, and the people whom I was with agreed, and one even asked our server if she could also order a cup when she came to take away the bowl. She was acknowledged that she was heard, but her request was completely ignored. It was plain to see that the only thing in the servers minds that night was the big tip dollars from the other tables, especially the larger party. I think you may have to show your wait staff that every customer is equally important, and not just the ones who ‘look like they’ll give you a big tip.‘ We may give you another chance a ways down the road, but we definitely won’t make it a regular occasion if the service continues to remain inconsistent.
