Soooo many choices of beer!
This bar seems like it would be a dive bar, but trust it’s not.
Great group of people here. All friendly and great to be around.
I originally went here just to shoot pool and have a beer, but instead I made a bunch of friends. Great atmosphere, great people and great beer.
Totally recommend this place.

I absolutely loved this place. We had a really great time. The regulars were very polite and the music was great! They were out of a lot of beers on tap, but they wouldn’t be out if they weren’t awesome! Lol. Met the owner the next day and a very pleasant man and helpful! Employees treated us as if we were regulars! Give it s try! 42 beers on tap!

Forty-​Two different beers on tap. Not as good a variety as before — too many IPA’s and blondes. They used to have Velvet Merlin, which was quite good. Now they have Nitro Velvet Merlin, which is yuck.

42 beers to choose from AND a full bar? Omfg yes. Cute little dive bar with very sweet bartenders. If I lived in Lompoc this would be my go to.

I went here once for a football game and it was a decent experience. Too many «regulars» (aka old people who like to get hammered) for my taste, but the drink prices were on point ($ 2 Miller Lites on draft). They had a good selection of games on 4 TVs and the staff was happy to help me find my relatively unpopular game and put it up on the screen for me until it ended.

The Sham is the only place I go in Lompoc. They have a huge selection of beers and bartenders that know what they’re doing. The bouncers make you feel safe and welcome and the bartenders treat you like an old friend. If you ever want an exceptional bloody mary, make sure to swing by on a sunday. They always have drink specials and the occasional awesome live music. Trust me, just go.

A couple of things though. The lady’s bathroom doors are really hard to close, and usually I just give up and hope no one walks in on me. And they have a really dusty thrown together storage shelf in the corner of the pool room that turns this place from a really nice area to kinda dirty really fast. But if you’re sitting at the bar or by the dance floor. No complaints.

I like their live band The Kilt. It’s and ok place to for bar scene. It’s a unique dive bar. The bartenders knows their drinks. Loved my appletini there.

The «Sham» how the locals call the place is a very nice pub which reminded me of an english/​Irish pub. They have plenty different kind of beer and a few pooltable. I definitely liked it and can recommend it if you want to go to a pub in Lompoc.

Great atmosphere, tasty drinks, friendly Bartender. Great place to watch the game. If your looking for a place to grab a drink this is the place:) Enjoy.

Hands down, this is my favorite local bar. The bartenders are all awesome. Each time I have gone, I’ve always met great people. They have over 40 beers on tap and the bartenders make excellent suggestions if you want to try something new. Definitely recommend this place.

Yeah, this is a great bar. Just a very chill atmosphere for everyone from 21 – 81. They get some really fun bands, the dance floor is nice, too. Although occasionally they have some really lame bands that seem like 17 yr olds who’ve had a couple months lessons… or some weird soloist singing his own material. Talented, maybe, but not much to dance to and sing-​along with, etc.
Oh, and they make really stiff drinks and great prices… great crowd that can vary, but tends to be more in the 30s, 40s age group.
Ample parking and we usually leave our car there overnight and take a cab home and our car has always been safe.
The only one minor negative experience I had there is once I ran a tab on the credit card all night… but periodically tipped the bartender who was helping us, in cash…$ 10 here and $ 10 there… and gave her a nice one just prior to closing our tab. Well, she was indisposed so another bartender closed our tab for us… and when I zeroed out the «tip» line on the receipt (because I’d tipped probably $ 40 in cash on a $ 100 bar tab)…she all but spit on me and said «thanks for the no tip you fucking asshole»…well, the other bartender caught it and quickly reeled her in, but still not the kind of courtesy I would expect.
But, I can overlook that one minor misunderstanding… this is one of the better bars in town.

Dive bar but has THE BEST CHILLED Guinness (AND comes in a chilled glass). It’s worth trying out just for that!

I don’t go out that often in Lompoc but when I do I usually go to the Shamrock, it’s chill pretty ghetto but not like someone’s gonna rob you lol there’s a cool bartender that works there basically everytime I go and he’s cool, he always makes exactly what I ask for even if it’s kinda picky ;) I can be pretty picky when it comes to getting a drink at a ghetto bar lol but overall this is a cool bar in Lompton

They have an organized dry erase board of the available beers. Good stuff. IMO from a out of towner.

This is the best watering hole in Lompoc. The owners are great friendly guys. 42… that’s right, 42 beers on tap! And I mean the good local craft beers you know and love. Fun when only a couple people, a decent crowd… or half the town in the place! Live (great) music many nights throughout the month. Great juke box, great bartenders, great patrons! Truely a great PUB.

I like my drinks cheap and strong and I like my bars small and comfy, this bar meets both of these requirements. Small and dark, friendly employees, and comfy barstools. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a drink if you’re in the local area. They have a very large array of beers on tap, 42 I think. My fav beer of choice here is Angry Orchard but I am kinda girly.

Came here on an 80’s theme night. very fun. music from the band was kinda deafening with all the feed back from the speakers, but it was funner than some other bars around here. Nice beer selection and drinks are not that pricey

I’ve been to a lot of bars and most of them I’m on stage playing and not drinking.
I can tell you from experience that the Wicked Shamrock is one of the best examples of a local, friendly, all smash and no flash bars I’ve ever seen.
Not much to look at from the exterior, it even might scare people off but what a shame because inside you have a great live music venue, dancing, a bar with some of the BEST beer on tap for reasonable prices (and that’s coming from a beer snob) and friendly service/​clientele. They have a few pool tables too with plenty of room.
Give this place a try… If you like bars, you’ll like this place even more.
PS Why not 5 stars? Okay, two complaints with love for my homies there:
1) Mens room’s got an old school piss trough, –It’s 2011 what’s that about?
2) No Door on the stall… Okay sometimes I’ve been traveling 8 hours and gotta go, more than once I’ve had to assign a lookout just so I didn’t get caught with my drawers down! It’s a toilet, there’s paper there, Please, let’s get a door happening!
